    Wow! That’s awesome you were able to hit 64 with minimal modifications to the Jetwood! You definitely got lucky with that 1 car that could of ended it all if they wanted to

      Thank you!
      I was stressed lol! I figured I was better off just letting it sit there instead of messing with it last second and possibly having it run into their path at the last second. I have hundreds of runs on public roads and that is the first time I have had a car stop dead in the road too far away where I couldn't get to it before a car was coming.... not good. I felt like an a-hole.... 🙄

    Dude I swear, watching your videos is so dam entertaining lol. Between the things you say and your "send it and see what happens" attitude, it is never a dull moment! Love it!

      Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words! I actually said something like that in the video.... but I think I edited that part out (I edited a ton out of it when I was running the 1st battery as I was really struggling to get it sorted out/drive right).

    4:15😄 Oh, I feel your pain on that one.. nice run, though! Kept it all together and gained some speed

    Great job my man! That's freaking moving in that little truck. Do a other test with that cnhl since you got that pin fixed! I believe it will do 65+ ! That little esc is holding back some with the amps that thing is pulling. I gained 8 mph with one of these " new" trucks that a company sent me by just swapping the ESC and nothing else, I used the small 120 amp VBESTLIFE esc off Amazon. The 16th scale truck I just did a video on (brushed) will have that drivetrain/electronics that's in this truck of yours! Be safe brother, it's 2 am, about to load up and head to Asheville and help up there for 2 days. I'll be in touch

      Thank you!
      I bet I could pick up a few mph with a 120A ESC. I am thinking about putting in one of my ZTW ESCs but then I would have to change the bullets on the motor and IDK if I want to.... I wish I had one of those cheap VBESTLIFE ESCs.... it would probably be perfect. I might just up buying one down the road to have one on hand!
      Hope your day is a good one!

    Nice! My Laegendary Thunder won't be here until friday, and I already want another budget speedster!😂😂

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  2 месяца назад +1

      The Thunder is MUCH easier to control and much better suited for speedruns (if the drivetrain holds up... that is its one big weakness).
      If you bend the dogbones, check Aliexpress for some aftermarket ones. Just measure them pin to pin and there are some really cheap options available. You might one to have a set on standby! Good luck with it!
      That being said, this Jetwood truck is a blast once you get some hex extenders for it to keep it more stable! But it is happiest at 50 mph or less with stock sized tires on it!

      You're gonna love your thunder man! I've got two of them. They're so much fun to upgrade and do speed runs with. They're pretty good on a baseball field or anything comparable to that the point is definitely the CVD like Brian said go ahead and try and find some upgrades for it, you won't be disappointed though such a fun budget truck

    Yeah, my guess is tall gearing and larger tires playing havoc with that little 45 amp ESC.
    I'm no expert but for that size vehicle, in those conditions, I'd say 60 amps ESC would be more reliable.
    Still, you went faster than I expected and you didn't do too bad at all.
    Good stuff.

      I agree, 60 is probably the minimum as the motor can pull over 60A. I have a 120A 4s capable ESC I am considering dropping into it.... might be a bad idea though lol.

    Nice run. Why doesn't it have brakes? Those tires seem to hook up pretty well too.

      @BriansRCStuff  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks! I am not sure why the brakes were sometimes not working. It was unnerving to say the least. I think the ESC is not happy with that setup... not even a little!
      Yeah, those are my "Choons" tires that I got for like $14 for 4 of them on Ali Express. I am really happy with them!

    So in your opinion, Brian is this Jetwood 1/14 scale worth the price point? I have wanted one of these since they came out just couldn't pull the trigger though your opinion is valued is it only good for speed runs or can you bash it out of the box and still have a good time with it, let me know what you think, buddy. Excellent video take care man.

      Thanks man, I appreciate it. You really seem to know your stuff too! I keep forgetting to that you have a channel and I need to see what you have been putting out!!! Edit, I guess you are ready for content but haven't released any yet. I would love to see how your trucks run!
      Well, in my opinion it depends. If you are looking for something that has better handling than the 2997a and is a small parking lot basher the Jetwood is a lot of fun! I really like the way 1/10th scales handle better on road and especially off road (the Jetwood is useless off road but fun on baseball fields). That being said, while this Jetwood feels more like a toy than a 1/10th scale like the Thunder, it really is put together well. The steering is really direct and predictable. The problem is that the track is too narrow and even stock it is a big issue! It tips over way too easy. The good thing is a set of 15mm hex extenders (and maybe 30mm would be good too.... I haven't run these yet on the stock tires) makes a world of a difference. With hex extenders, it is a great little truck that is in need of a dual rate (though not the end of the world when it is stock). This video shows how fun it is in stock form with the hex extenders! ruclips.net/video/LpB1FU9fdnM/видео.htmlsi=sPopsBix9H_sifXg
      I would not reccomend it for speedruns/what I am doing with it. It is stressful and not a lot of fun. In stock form, it will go 50+ and that is the sweet spot. The motor will get too hot after about 5 min of hard use so as long as you are okay giving it 1 cool down half way into a run, I think you would really enjoy it. Also, if you don't have a set of hex drivers, you really need them for this RC as the hex head screws are soft and hex keys will strip them really easily/make you hate working on this truck.
      So..... I guess it depends on your budget and what you are looking for. It is very different than both the 2997a and the Thunder. If you don't mind/want a small truck, I think it is one of the best ones out there.
      Please let me know if you have any questions on what I wrote! I wish I had deeper pockets.... there are so many RC trucks I want (the one I am going to try hard to get is a Rustler.... there is so much I could do with it now that I have the Bandit mastered.... I hope I can find a cheap used one around Christmas!!! My RC budget is completely taken up with repairs lol! Everything I get from my channel gets eaten up in repairs! 😅 I am glad I didn't lose my Jetwood today.... that was a close one today!

      @@BriansRCStuff thanks man. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Lots of good info. I haven't gotten anything uploaded on my channel yet waiting to get a GPS speedometer so I can do some legit speed runs with what I have between you and Britt . I've learned a lot of salad knowledge on RC'sand I do appreciate it, buddy. I love channel man keep up the great work. Look forward to the next upload.
