I will also like to add another tip before installing the servo horn is set the gyro gain at zero to prevent steering movement due to chassis movement when installing the servo horn.
Well the above step will not be require if you plug the servo directly to channel 1 👍🏻

Christmas deals helped out on the shiny purple yokomo servo and programmer, amazon had the usb programmer for 29$ and amain had a great coupon on the servo. Thanks for the vid man!

I love my Yokomo servos, almost never need to program them out of the box. I like their slow return and jitter-free operation and they do me right. I wouldnt mind finding a cheaper alternative but they make me happy so I use them :D

I am very happy with it!
It used to be that the ReveD was cheaper...not anymore!
This will be my go-to servo now until I find a better/cheaper one!

@@RoadsideRC Ive not tried their nicer one, the "cheaper" one has done me right since I started drifting. but a new cheaper option is always welcome :D

I have been running both Yokomo servos. They work well with the Yokomo V4 gyro as well. I do agree that there isn't much gain from the Sp02 to the SP03. But if you have a full-blown comp rig, of course, you want the shiny aluminum.

I do expect many folks just want the bling! That is perfectly fine!

I have V1 of this servo. Non-programmable. Even at max gyro gain it was too slow in transitions and spun out in a narrow hairpin(on a fast carpet track with almost reverse entry zone).
The most basic servo I still use fits my driving style of my main chassis better than it.
Maybe I'll use it for TT01 when I'll convert it to RWD in distant future

Currently run the agfrc a50bhl with the v4 gyro on my rds with the g7p. Always wondered if i tuned my servo correctly but it works extremely well. Been debating spending the funds to buy this servo and really dont know if itll be worth it in the end.
Side bar: Yesterday at the track, i actually turned the speed down on the g7p to have .22 turn in delay and .24 return to be smoother and softer when turning. It has elevated my setup even more lol. Which just adds to my confusion.

I 100% agree that the AGFRC to this servo has minimal benefit.
Basically, the servo either does what it needs to...or not.
As long as a drift servo has some damper in it, and works well with your desired gyro...I am happy - the cheaper the better.

Try the RSST Pro... The tuning capabilities outshines the sp03.. although out of the box it looks and feels like an sp03 haha

I will get it eventually. The price tag is a little high though...so hard to understand how it is worth the $$$.
