The V1 can be picked up for £174 on Ebay in the UK right now.. Apparently they come with the V2 upgrades in the box.. Another great video.!! 👍 👍 👍 It's always a better day when I get to watch one of your bonkers videos.!! 😁😁
love how you put all these trucks and cars through the ringer! would like to see how the new redcat valkyrie MT 4s holds up to a derby city durability test!
Thanks! I’ll hopefully get a Valkyrie one day, however I reviewed the WOV racing orange and grey monster truck a few months ago which is based off the same platform. That should give you an idea 😃
I got my v1 truck plus v2 kit as a package from makerfire. They also had a % discount that came to $17 dollars off so price was very good. I will pay extra attention to those areas during assembly after watching your video. Thanks!
Awesome video as always man! For $200 definitely seems worth it, $400 no way. Thing does seem a bit “bouncy” from the videos I have watched but looks like it takes a pretty good beating 😂. Again great video, keep em coming 🤘🏻
Your a trip bro, you are definitely from the ville! I love it. You have one of the best channels for rc on the tube! Appreciate you, keep doing the ville right!
Thanks!! That got a lot of comments lol (I’ve done a much better catch before!!) Dude!! The pet store told me he was a friendly Dragon! Apparently they just wanted him gone and were willing to go against their morals and lie! 😢
Brother your videos just keep getting better . I love the rating system I think that’s a great idea and derb-ability should be trademarked😂. That truck seems noticeably better and if it stays $199 that seems like a killer deal.
Those front flips were smooth on the dirt. Not bad breakages, those chamber links would boil my blood. Easy fix just a pain, but it has to break somewhere
Nice video brother. I bought a 14208 on your recommendation, not disappointed. I'll probably pass on this one though. I recovered a Slash 4x4 VXL that was underwater in a ditch for months, and i think i'm going to restore it to some sort of 2wd Frankenstein it was never meant to be.
Another great video! I think that the bumper breaking and effectively rendering the car useless is a problem. I understand that bumpers can break however they should be designed in a way that it saves the rest of the car and keeps it drive-able. Also that end-link breaking seem to happen to other reviewers so it might be a weak point. All other breakages seem reasonable, though it would of course have been better if they didn't happen. 400 is way to expensive 200 seems more reasonable. How did the electronics respond? No delay's or any weird stuff? Servo fast and powerful enough? Not considering price would you prefer the 10208 V2 over the Rival MT10 V2?
Thanks! Ya when I reviewed the footage the bumper got hit really hard in a way that would have pushed it down in the way it bent. That track was brutal! That rain I got in the video lasted maybe an hour and was mostly light. Besides that we haven’t had a drop of rain in like a month. That dirt was hard, and rocky. So while I feel it wouldn’t have happened to some other cars, I still don’t know it was super unreasonable. This between an MT10 is kind of a tough choice, but being the $199 already ended (😢), I’d have to say MT10. With that said though, I do feel like this has much more power (4s vs 3s though lol) but still a bigger and beefier motor and higher amp ESC that so far no one seems to have had issues with. No there was no delay at all. I actually forgot that I dislike that transmitter because it was flawless. Servo felt good. Servo saver feels a bit weak at times like on many cars, but I found a way to tighten it up in my upgraded v1 video that helped pretty minorly but still helped.
That is a sweet truck for what you're getting for the price It's well rounded. I think it would be nice for you to review the Omni Terminator carbon version against this truck The MJX hyper go 10th scale that you're reviewing. I have the Omni Terminator I just want to see if it's worth getting the MJX. Just curious to see what your opinion is on these two trucks. I'd like to know which one you like the most. Lately I've been buying trucks watching your reviews and trusting your judgment. So far so good. Lol lol😮😮😂😂😂 Love watching your videos Just can't get enough. As soon as one comes out It's being watched. Keep up the good reviews and I'll keep buying😂😂😂😂😂..
I like my Rlaarlo, but MJX has my attention having solved many issues and not having some the Omni Terminator has, not to mention the OT is really a 1/12 truck as the chassis is designed as a 1/10 car, i.e. the new Rally car to be released. Those far beefier dog bones/cvd's are what Rlaarlo needs to do, get rid of those weak points and work on durability. Great truck and a really good option. Awesome review as always.
@@DerbyCityRC So Mr Derby City, as it isn't yet released does this mean you have been sent an XTS for review in order to know they've fixed those issues? I can not wait to see that in your hands mate. And have they made improvements or is that just due to the shorter arms and dog bones/CVD's? I hope they are maker stronger and beefier parts too. They have potential, but many companies do, and they simply need to realise that and seek to improve, as fast as possible. We're a demanding community but for good reason, the competition being part of it. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Yup! I opened it up yesterday! The fact that it has shorter arms and a more leveled suspension will help in itself, but the differential cups themselves are actually different. A different material along with also having thicker walls. Woohoo! Can’t wait for you to see the video in like 25 days or so 😂
@@DerbyCityRC Thank you my man, it's good to hear of these improvements and I hope they come through to the OT and ROG1 for that matter. I also can't wait to see your video, I enjoy your channel and what you do. I like to see good family men working hard and hope the success you deserve comes your way. Keep it up brother. The fact you get sent cars shows you're doing well and getting some of that recognition. Thanks again.
I suspect with a higher kv motor swap and larger pinion, you might be to get this to perform as good on 3s if not better than some of the other 3s cars.
The one thing that is putting me off a bit is that you need a 4s to get it up the same speeds as the competitors. I wonder if you can just gear it up to match them.
I know I agree I think I even mention that twice lol. I think to gear it up much you need a mower powerful motor maybe. I also have a a feeling a higher amp esc alone may help.
Yes Yes Yesss you did it (how about a aluminium arms for this truck they gonna prevent that twist sh*t?) , well done buddy , and Now its Time for you to review the Maverick Quantum 2 Flux (Amainhobbies have it) Man it's so hard to decide between Hyper go V2 10208 / Maverick / MT10 , my brain saying take all of them , but i wanna pick a winner first. BTW you really did a great job
I think metal arms would be too stiff. Unless you’re just racing it and going for the best handling above all else, I’d stick to the plastic. Could maybe find a way to mount a second set of shocks on the rear of the arm. Thanks!!😊
Newbie sidequestion to anyone who knows.. Does this body slide clip thingy mean its more complicated (or impossible) to install other bodies that need body posts? And of course super top clip Evan!
Are you asking if you could take the latch off and install it on other bodies? That clipless design works hand in hand to lock in with the shock towers on the chassis, so it would not easily work on another vehicle unfortunately. Thanks friend!!!
That was one of the most thorough comparisons I've seen. I don't recall seeing you jump other trucks off the very high jump. They made some very good improvements. From a durability perspective is better, worse or about the same as some other 1/10 monster trucks?
Thanks! I jumped one other car off there before. The Hosim X27. There will be more. Durability I’d say is pretty similar. I know for a fact the granite or Vorteks would have broken worse than a measly diff cup from that fall on the corner. The Arrmas definitely have tougher bumpers but the granite tires can also blow pretty easy in my experience. I’d say it’s pretty darn close.
@@DerbyCityRC Thanks, I don't have a brushless Granite and I have a brushless Vorteks, but I have never bashed it. I have an MT10, but I have never jumped it from a jump of that height. There are so many good 1/10 bashers it's a very competitive market. You see Horizon occasionally offering big sales to compete. I would like to see MJX get its products into hobby shops.
Thanks so much for the in depth review mate. It seems good. I'm trying to decide between this and the omni terminator. Is it a tough choice or do you have a preference. Thanks
It is a tough choice! Overall I think the Omni is a better car, however this one (on 4s) give you more power and speed, and of course its bigger. Omni is more “tunable.”
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for the reply. I'm going with the 10208. I won't be doing really big jumps with mine so certain things might hold up better for me haha. Would you recommend thinner oil in the shocks. Thanks again mate
@craigknox8516 the price is no longer $199 😢. Went to $299 😡. But give it some time maybe they will go back down. Or of course grab the other choice 😂. Dang that blows…
What a great video brother❤️❤️weird thing is happening with my version 1 hyper go the motor fans are not spinning at all and truck is brand new. Do they start spinning when the motor gets hot or wth is going on?? Any suggestions?
Thanks! No they should be on all the time. Hmmmm. Maybe check to make sure they’re plugged in properly. I can’t imagine two defective fans on a brand new truck. I can’t remember what type of plug they use but maybe they’re plugged in backwards.
Would you mind reviewing the upgrade parts as well? I already bought the v1, is it better if i use another mix batch parts to upgrade my v1 or just straight use the upgrade parts form MJX.
I have criticized MJX in the past for poor customer service, but I am still happy to have more competition in the 10th scale arena. Competition breeds innovation and reduces stagnation, unless your name is Traxxas, in which case you pretend that there is only one good RC company, and you enjoy living under your expensive proprietary rock. The rest of the hobby benefits from competition, so I say: "Go little MJX, go! Ride that unicorn to the top of the mountain and eat the bag of golden Skittles you find in a leprechaun's hat atop Mount Doom, and say hi to Dr. Doom while you're there"
Do they have bad CS? Unfortunately thats just something I don’t know about. Yes I agree! We’re definitely seeing innovation unfold from many brands right now.
Makerfire has it in warehouses direct to US. Link is in the video description if you need it. and looks like Amazon has it but waaaaaay more expensive.
Hmm. Not with the links I shared. The faster shipping from Makerfire is $239. The Amazon version (with battery) when it comes out will supposedly be $400, but maybe there will be a coupon? To me the $40 savings is worth the wait on the slow boat lol
@@DerbyCityRC I could’ve swore it said 299 lol I looked again and yes it’s 239.. Yeah I’d definitely still wait on the slow boat.. 😂 Can’t believe they are trying to charge 400 for just adding a battery.. 200 dollar battery 🤔 No way in hell 😂
Not sure if i sent my last comment but I got a bison sport 1/10 scale from temu 120 looks good not sure but everything says brushless and then the description says. Rushed but it is brushless just wondering if u have seen this or tried it it does seem to have oil filled shocks too
😂😂😂 seems good to me. The JJRC one I think is $61, but this definitely has the nicer body. Also, I just checked and you can bind the standard mjx controller to it! 😱
My boys and I really wnjoy your videos, but could you clarify what part of them is the paid promotion? Are you being paid to review the car itself or the parts?
I haven’t yet tried, however, I’ve broken the granite enough times to know it would have likely caused more issues than this with a similar crash. Bent pins, possible broken chassis where the pins mount, bent motor mount, broken control arms. However I obviously don’t know for sure.
I think I fell asleep in the middle of typing that last reply 😂. Most likely the outcast would have sustained some damage. This mix definitely did pretty well
I might be wrong but jumps looked sketchy, like it wasn't stable enough, often turned to left or right. Compared to Omni or 2997a it looked a lot less... "manageable" in jumps.
That’s true it did do that a few times. Not really sure what would cause that. Weight of the battery on one side possibly. That big 4s has some meat to it.
"What is another word helicopters are often referred to by?" I trust that Google provided the correct answer. After I win the raffall (free? cooool, dude!) I'll ask you for a batterie. No batteries on safety issues, is it ?
😂😂 Google Arnold Schwarzenegger’s most famous lines and it will be in there somewhere 😂. Actually those HyperGo batteries seem really good. I’ve used them before. They’re nice and heavy and put out o it good power. I’d probably point you to those cnhl’s though. Good luck!!
Who can help me with the the gearing / number of teeth of this truck? It's a 12T pinion, but I don't know any of the rest (center / spur gear, input gear, differential gear). Thanks so much!
The rear turnbuckle is either a problem child or you and do rc shared a truck because you both had the exact same thing happen with it sliding into the end link. Wierd.
Weren’t the previous MJX’s ridiculously durable? Metal sucks for bashers. I’ll say it over and over. Stop asking for metal people! In a higher end precision performance vehicle, metal provides benefits. But in a basher, it’s the part that always breaks. Balance in the air and air control didn’t look great either. It is NO GRANITE (which has the best air control of ANY RC)
In my basher which is 50% metal, the part that breaks is the plastic camber links. And funny you should talk about the previous MJX being ridiculously durable: they had a metal chassis, which you hate.
I personally was NOT impressed with the blx granite. The only things impressive was the power. I absolutely cannot keep it in 1 piece. It ALWAYS breaks within 5-10 minutes since the day i got it.
The V1 can be picked up for £174 on Ebay in the UK right now..

So far it seems the rally is worth waiting for. No drive yet, but it’s nice!
Another great video of you trying to kill an RC ! Lol
Did you get a chance to look at the after photos of the hell cat yet, my friend ?
Thanks! Ugh! Sorry emails get lost in the shuffle so quickly some days! I’ll go look now.
@@DerbyCityRC 👍
And just like that we have a 4th 1:10MT worth the money right up in the hall of fame with thr MT10, Granite and Valkyrie
Can you change the category to "Afforderb-ility" next time?
Dude 100% absolutely!! 😂
The faster shipping one is 100 bucks more 😳 WoW I think I’d rather wait lol Definitely a cool truck for 199…
@EJ-74 haha! 3’s and 9’s are so similar anyway 😂 Ya not sure what the Amazon deal is. Hopefully it’s a $150 coupon 😂
Not sure if i sent my last comment but I got a bison sport 1/10 scale from temu 120 looks good not sure but everything says brushless and then the description says. Rushed but it is brushless just wondering if u have seen this or tried it it does seem to have oil filled shocks too
You should try one after a day of bashing. i love it lands smoth every time very flexible plastic
What do you think man is that a pretty good deal for the 20208 at $64 or should I cancel? I think it might have been an impulse buy 😂
😂😂😂 seems good to me. The JJRC one I think is $61, but this definitely has the nicer body. Also, I just checked and you can bind the standard mjx controller to it! 😱
@@DerbyCityRC thanks buddy. Always there for me. Keep up the great work, man. You've got the best channel on YT.
You’re welcome and thanks so much!!! 😊
I think the $199 truck doesn't come with a radio. The ad says "truck only", I think.
It definitely includes the radio. Just no battery or charger. Sale is over now though for now 😢
I bought the $239 version w/o battery thinking the $199 version didn't come with a radio. What do you think the difference is? Thanks a million man.
My boys and I really wnjoy your videos, but could you clarify what part of them is the paid promotion? Are you being paid to review the car itself or the parts?
Thanks! Im not actually paid by mjx. They supply a sample of the car only.
The same exact problem happened to razor R.C. That same link pushed in exactly the same way on the same side.Weird ....
Ya it’s an odd one lol. The holes are drilled slightly too big in the end links
I feel like you need a chicken/pov camera.
Haha! That would be amazing 😂
Bro! Idea! Thanks!
how is the granite with the cliff jump?
I haven’t yet tried, however, I’ve broken the granite enough times to know it would have likely caused more issues than this with a similar crash. Bent pins, possible broken chassis where the pins mount, bent motor mount, broken control arms.
However I obviously don’t know for sure.
@@DerbyCityRC what about the outcast
that is also 4s
Haven’t driven enough to know for sure, but I don’t see it coming out of that without o
@@DerbyCityRC they did up the chassis and motormount
I think I fell asleep in the middle of typing that last reply 😂. Most likely the outcast would have sustained some damage. This mix definitely did pretty well
I might be wrong but jumps looked sketchy, like it wasn't stable enough, often turned to left or right. Compared to Omni or 2997a it looked a lot less... "manageable" in jumps.
That’s true it did do that a few times. Not really sure what would cause that. Weight of the battery on one side possibly. That big 4s has some meat to it.
Digg how you can bash , report, and add Humor!
I have got , information, to order really Good trucks!
Don't change !!
Thanks a ton man!!
So... This or the Omni Carbon? 😂 I already have the omni but this one looks great.
Granite or outcast
@@Hungrybird474 not around here
That’s a tough one. The Omni is built so well and has more tuneability, but this is more powerful, faster, and bigger.
Outcast 😃
Omni for sure
Still waiting for your review for hobao 1/8
Me too!! 😅
What school is that, where?
Send me a message 😅
"What is another word helicopters are often referred to by?"
I trust that Google provided the correct answer.
Good luck!!
@@DerbyCityRC "hasta la vista...baby", as A.S. would say
Who can help me with the the gearing / number of teeth of this truck? It's a 12T pinion, but I don't know any of the rest (center / spur gear, input gear, differential gear). Thanks so much!
Dang I wish I knew. It’s all back together already. It’s 0.8 MOD gear pitch, but that’s the only other thing I know.
Yah I’ll stick with my granite.
"Super affordable" 😂
lol ok? When it was temporarily on sale for $199, yes definitely.
Thanks for the free raffle ticket. Very generous and Genesis of you.
Blast processing Sonic the Hedgehog of you.
"Burnt alien smells awful" 😂😂😊
You’re welcome!! Haha! It does indeed!
The rear turnbuckle is either a problem child or you and do rc shared a truck because you both had the exact same thing happen with it sliding into the end link. Wierd.
Very weird. Especially for it to happen on flat ground and then not happen again with all those big drops and crashes.
@DerbyCityRC i know it ,right. It's almost like there wasn't threads in there. And for it to happen to both of you is just mind bogglogoling.lol
Junk😂
Weren’t the previous MJX’s ridiculously durable? Metal sucks for bashers. I’ll say it over and over. Stop asking for metal people! In a higher end precision performance vehicle, metal provides benefits. But in a basher, it’s the part that always breaks. Balance in the air and air control didn’t look great either. It is NO GRANITE (which has the best air control of ANY RC)
In my basher which is 50% metal, the part that breaks is the plastic camber links.
And funny you should talk about the previous MJX being ridiculously durable: they had a metal chassis, which you hate.
😂😂 this is currently $450+ on MJX Amazon store.... 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
lol ya that’s crazy. Much cheaper elsewhere.
I personally was NOT impressed with the blx granite. The only things impressive was the power. I absolutely cannot keep it in 1 piece. It ALWAYS breaks within 5-10 minutes since the day i got it.
