this is what i love through genshin writing and never trust any cc's who said that it "sucks" you'll never truly appreciate genshins writing if you only look through the surface
to put it as an example it feels like genshin main storyline with the archon quest/story quest is like celestia rule of what they want you to see in the games narrative like the unique flashy characters or the one your most definitely horny characters is nothing but a HUGE distraction to whats truly happening , then the lore players were the "before sun and moon" who knows the truth.
(im an artist i wont even be suprise if hoyoverse deliberately made the artsyle to be "charming" like their literally luring you in , and personally love that trope "whats hiding beneath the cute artstyle was a very horrific story, of betrayal,gore,death and horrors beyond comprehension. (if your into that too i wouldnt recommend "made in abyss" more if you can handle it)
narzissenkreuz quest had already hinted remind you this is from 3.6 one of the only hints we have to fontaine at this point was through xander and the endora event ( rhodeia ,maybe the hydro cube drop to petrichor) at this point we just thought jakob was just a one random researcher which is lie cause he ones the most focal point of the main PLOT of fontaine (sidenote : one of rene notes again they lowkey but most definitely intentional spoiled the whole of plot of fontaine AGAIN this is back on 3.6 )
like genshin storyline is one of the most consistent and well thought out stories i wont even doubt if they actually already finished it not to mention how well connected to its wether its a side quest or the main quest i dont think players took for granted that genshin is FREE GAME like this level of story telling i would expect on a soulbourne games its not even finished yet. like genshin is one of the rare game storyline where you have to deliberately go back to when it first release trailers/post back 2020 so you can find CLUES FOR FUTURE CONTENT. thats how well planned it is
i would like to thank all lore players for actually appreciating the intriguing storyline they put out, and actually having reading comprehension which is funny cause they still complain about paimon which ironic cause unlike them paimon can read.
( lot of players complain about having harder abyss because they "hp just bigger" and not actually "fun but annoying" those whining mf is not gonna survive darksouls bro )

Yes yes yes!!! The lore being scattered all throughout teyvat in different regions is what made me super excited. Like this is actually a whole big world and we have to find it's secret. The CCs who appreciate it and actually put effort into finding those are always going to be my fave. 🙂↕️
I’d take those that complain about abyss a bit more seriously if they didn’t call absolutely every different kind of difficulty as “annoying “ . Like maybe the steps hoyo has taken has not been enough but some of these mobs or bosses are genuinely a step in the right direction but what kind of feedback is it “it’s annoying” bruh
i dont even consider the other genshin cc's as genuine genshin cc cuz most of their content is barely scratching the surface of the actual game. they only focus on the combat and the gacha system as if that's all this game is about then complain continuously for the "lack of content" and now these cc's bring even serious drama which i seriously think damages the reputation of the community as a whole. the fans of those cc's are the same ppl who call us white knight of hoyo simply because we try to explain to them that there is more to this game and how its actually amazing! im so happy to have come across Arnold as a fellow lore enthusiast! i absolutely love that the door's just there! there's no dialogue for it, no quest leads you there no nothing! it's just there all ominous and shit
i know right? i find it so fitting that the door is left for the players to find for themselves with no guidance whatsoever. it feels truly forgotten.

Just wonder what will happen once we reach the Khaenri'ah patches. Will they ask us to complete this side quest? That seems weird since I doubt they'll lock the continuation of an archon quest behind a world quest. Is this the only entrance?

Seeing the Symbol on the Khaenri'ah Door again made me only realize just now that the Symbol of Khaenri'ah is a Sun with a Crinson Moon in its center aka an Eclipse, cause that was the last dynasty of Khaenri'ah.

I know! It was so freakin cool when I got to Fontaine and started doing those world quests cuz it make me realize that HYV was setting up that plotline months in advance.

I feel like when Khaenri'ah becomes available, we will either go there using special methods like a portal or rift, or the Gate might become interactable via archon quest.
Rewatching this now, so much went over my head when I played through this myself, especially the Narzissenkreuz related stuff.
The composition of René & Jakob's bodies being different from other humans but similar to that of Egeria's "corpse" makes so much sense now...
They basically gave us the answers to Fontaine's mystery before the region even came out, fascinating
Reaching the door gave me the same chills I felt when the Venti Statue is called "Gateway to Celestia" in the achievements.

Finding this gate when I was zoned out at 2 AM was wild. I still remember the adrenaline pumping into my vines as I sat up on my bed in pure excitement upon realizing what that symbol the gate has lol

Just staring at that sealed door, it feels ominous why it was sealed tight from the surface world. It also made us curious what lies beyond the door to Kheanri'ah, not to mention there's no dialogue about the door and gives us nothing but silence. It even made us imagine how scary the Cataclysm was 500 years ago
1:09:02 SEEE!!! The curse is triggered IF you move out of khaenriah. Just like it was mentioned in perinheri. They all don't just turn into monsters, they turn into monsters only if they leave the borders of khaenriah/go onto the surface.
its also because they weren't full blooded right? from the caribert quest, clothar mentioned something about that. but its sad cuz they have no choice, even if they dont leave to remain as humans, they'll die from the monsters or starvation
@@aniyapeach that is different. Full blooded were cursed with immortality while half blooded with beastiality(hilichurls and such).
Perinheri however talks of hero named Perinheri, his best friend Heliobrandt and Angelica. Heliobrandt falls in love with Angelica, but angelica doesn't like him back. Perinheri is worried that his friend is obsessing too much over this lady, so he goes to kill Angelica. Angelica however runs out of the city/nation's borders,Perinheri goes after her and Heliobrandt too trying to stop Perinheri. However the moment heliobrandt steps out of the border, he turns into a mindless beast. Then angelica tells Perinheri that he was a descendent of those who had forsaken their God and abandoned their faith(aka people from other nations who joined with khaenriah). Perinheri came here accidentally, he had not "voluntarily" abandoned his god so he was immune. So was angelica.
What i am trying to point out is, this implies that people of khaenriah are fine as long as they remain within khaenriah, but they turn into monsters IF they leave. Now there is a big problem, we assumed that this curse was laid during the cataclysm. However the events of Perinheri happen sometime around archon war. heliobrandt still turned into the beast when he left Khaenriah. The curse has existed FAAAR before the cataclysm.
ANd this also holds true with Schwanenritters, during the cataclysm, they loaded the civilians into three giant ruin golems...hoping to take them to sumeru for safety, but the moment they came out, they started to get sick, and eventually turned into monsters.

So!! i haven't seen this commented, but if you didn't know, the achievement "Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here." is a reference to the Divine Comedy, Dante's Inferno! In Canto III its inscribed upon the gates of hell. As Dante passes through them, he and his guide hear the anguished screams of the souls who never took sides, and remained neutral in times of good and evil and only had cares for self interest (called the Uncommitted). Pretty damning reference there on HYVs part, and it makes me so curious as to if its supposed to be a foreshadowing of how Khaenri'ans actually are, or if its just what Celestia labelled then as for breaking the heavenly principles?
can i just the OST that plays at the door's location is so eerie? it genuinely makes me uncomfortable, and whenever i visit the door, i immediately want to leave again like instincts are telling me that this place is not safe.

This achievement line is taken from a 3 volume poem series called "Dante's divine comedy" ,in which in each volume, Dante explore earth,hell and purgatory and it's levels.
And this line is played when dante reached the gates of hell.
After finishing the fight there was no instructions to keep going forward just return back to the surface. When I saw this huge door I got chills. It was amazing.

Also, I'm wondering if you've done Kaeya's Hangout yet, I wanna see your reaction on that one, that Hangout is very story quest level and a cauldron of lore, implications, foreshadowing and all that good stuff.
To be the best of my knowledge he hasn't gotten around to Hangouts in a long time, however he's said that whenever he does, Kaeya's will be the first he does.
I absolutely love that there is no quest or prompting to get you to this place. You can just stumble upon it with no pomp or circumstance. So ominous.

Both suggest that they know that Irminsul is screwing with their memories and a darker truth in Theyvat when you die for real nobody remembers your name anymore because Irminsul has written you out of the script as such you basically don't exist anymore.

As of this point in time for Star Rail lore, we do have side quests that, depending on your decisions made in Penacony, have permanent aftereffects within the game. Whether or not they’re good or bad effects depends on the choices you make.
Which means, it may be possible that a permanent decision could actually be made. It’s not entirely off the table.
I love how in this video we saw Rene's name for the first time, who would have thought that he was actually such an important character and not just a random npc's name, same with the door of khaenri'ah! Sometimes knowing or remembering things about different mythologies and stories damages the experience because I don't have the same sense of surprise that other people might feel when events play out in one way or another (as soon as I saw Klingsor I already knew how things were going to go), but at the same time it does make me curious to see how the game plays around these references and how they work with them in the lore. I normally play your videos while doing other stuff around the house or sometimes while seated with a cup of tea, and hearing your theories based on past events that I barely remember playing is both exciting and impressive lol especially when those predictions do end up coming true down the line. Thank you for posting these, as always!
This might be an unpopular opinion but I think the desert is in the top 3 environments in genshin. I just love the landmarks like the oasis, King Deshret's mausoleum, Harvisptokhm and of course the gate to khaenri'ah. Reaching those places and the quests tied to them will always be memorable parts of my playthrough.
With hindsight, we can see how well planned Genshin's story is and the amount of detail/care they put into their quest. We get mentions of characters that will appear in Fontaine. This is why I can confidently look forward to Genshin's future.
I feel like we will be returning to Sumeru and the desert eventually. We have the notes about Jeht and Zandik.

Hoyoverse lowkey cooked with this because this might’ve implied the entire Fontaine Archon Quest with how Focalors literally defied fate and changed the future inscribed by Celestia and the prophecy of Fontaine (Which tells the future)…oh my god I love this game’s roundabout storytelling

It's crazy how 3.6 laid out like half of Narzissenkids story (Khvarena quest, Artist Adrift, Nymph's Dream).
Gotta be honest eventhough I’ve always been into the lore since the start of the game, for some reason Kaenriah didn’t really had me as excited as it had some people. However discovering the furnace and then the door omggg idk like it just came alive for me and now I’m just as excited as anyone. Also Arle lore and bedtime story quest absolutely increased it even moree
The hype for Khaenri'ah is definitely going to be a slow-burn build-up that will crescendo and pay off when we actually go there after Snezhnaya!
The moment I reached that ruins, it really doesn't felt like Genshin anymore. It suddenly so modernized and sci-fi ish

I really appreciate you uploading this. As a college student there's no way I can spent hours exploring even when it's really intriguing. Genshin's gem is all about lore so these are really precious
Ohh nice, glad you put this up much earlier, since I remember you did this in 3.7, after the TCG event.
I personally felt dishing out two limited events, back to back, would've lessened overall engagement with this quest by the time we got there, so I decided to rearrange the content since the Khvarena quest was released during Version 3.6, and it would be before the TCG event and Bottleland.
Finding the door for first time when I was just trying to complete the quest was mind-blowing, like no text, nothing. If you follow the lore you will know what that door is! It was so freaking cool. Also the curse thingy about getting turned into monsters. I still think there is more elemental reaction explanation to it. Just blaming everything on curse seems like a way of leaving answers to god because people of teyvat have not figured it out yet. There's no way hoyo is not cooking something like that.

I recall that question well. My answer remains pretty much unchanged especially after recent 4.7 Dainslief quest. Abyss has been root of all the suffering and is, like a poison apple the serpent tempted Eve with. I will NOT side with the Abyss Twin(Aether in my case), I would side with Tsarista or Dainslief if given the choice.

And to answer your question sir, if lumine did proven do bad thing cus sinner influence i might just battle it cus someone had to do it, it might even turn to be the repeat cycle of events again in the future but someone just had to do it.
I never knew anything about this game's plot or the story but after coming to know this channel i am so thankful.

When I saw that door at the distance, I was like: the fuck?! Did the abyss came out of there- or, someone seal the monsters there? The door was so ominous and scary, it's just there!? Plus not to mention it is a travel hazard unless you know what you're doing, unless you have an anemo character to just cross over there.
The door was my favorite place due to how terrifying it is by the implications of it.

For that question about possibly being given a choice that would drastically change the game for you depending on your choice: I would not want that. I’m good with a difficult option from the dialogue stuff we get all of the time. But i ultimately want a “choice” that aligns with the story that Hoyoverse is telling in Genshin. We’ve had choices back in the first Dainslef quest that changed his dialogue reaction depending on your choices. But that is the extent of what I would want.
While I doubt that Hoyoverse will give us the "final choice" that would actually change the ending, I think they could pull it off in lore as both options being different samsaras that each player (not MC) is experiencing

I would be fine with a game-changing choice if I was allowed to go back and choose the other option without having to replay the entire game. I play Genshin for the story more than anything else, so I would want to see what both options lead to without having to go watch someone else’s RUclips video

hey guys i just found about his channel, and Arnold seems to know current fontaine arcs but he uploads old version gameplays and reactions, am i missing out on something? not hating just curious about his progression on story, im a little confused about the videos

My playthrough is a time capsule in chronological release order. We're wrapping up the last few events of the 3.x series and will start Fontaine content in a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, we're up-to-date on Genshin Version 4.7 on Twitch. As the channel owner, I can gladly explain the situation! I've been playing Genshin Impact since Day 1 (September 28th 2020), and all of my content took place on my Twitch channel, Twitch.tv/murderofbirds. During that time, I managed my main RUclips channel, MurderofBirds, which is prioritized for weekly reaction, discussion, and review content, which took much editing time to produce. And while that channel wasn't gaming-focused, I'd upload gaming playthroughs from time to time, which were met with low but consistent engagement.
For the first year of Genshin's release, I would record my footage of every piece of content that the game delivered, to inevitably release it onto my main channel at some point, but between streaming long hours and having my main channel that's content was what my audience really wanted, I spent the last year hoarding my Genshin footage, in fear that it wouldn't be a wise choice to upload it to a channel where gaming content wasn't sought after.
So, one year later, in October 2021, while visiting my girlfriend for the first time in Canada, I decided to create a THIS channel to dedicate to uploading my Genshin Impact playthrough series in a chronological fashion, which ultimately worked out for several reasons: 1) It quickly became a source of discoverability for my Twitch channel. 2) The content was technically new to everyone discovering me for the first time due to the prior limited Twitch discoverability. 3) While retroactive, my content provided genuine first-time reactions to limited content that is no longer available, creating a truly unique demand, as it's imbued with nostalgia for content that most players have as memories now.
With all of this in mind, I started uploading what we like to call my Genshin Impact "Time Capsule" Playthrough series in October 2021. Since then, I've been uploading content of my playthrough, where I focus deeply on the story, lore, worldbuilding, and character quests of the game. Now, because I started my upload schedule a year after the game's release, I've been playing catch up with editing and uploading content here, to slowly match what's going on over on Twitch for present-day content. that's currently how far back in the schedule it is compared to the up-to-date content I'm streaming on Twitch. All up-to-date Genshin content is still streamed on my Twitch channel, so any live content can be watched for free for a pre-determined amount of time before it becomes archived. ALL of my unedited Genshin Impact streams, across EVERY event that's ever come out, are archived on my Twitch channel for Twitch subscribers as an incentive for their support, but the free alternative is to either watch the content when I stream it LIVE or watch videos on this channel when they're posted. I edit down all of the content myself into engaging, digestible videos with none of the livestream distractions that you'd expect from a simple re-upload (no donation alert, talking to Twitch chat, bathroom breaks, dead noise, etc). This ensures that the RUclips audience has the BEST experience possible when watching my Time Capsule series, and nothing of consequence is skipped. Not only is this a playthrough for the audience, but it's also a nice trip down memory lane for me, as I have been able to document my entire experience so far. So, Twitch represents the present (w/ the entire archive for subs), RUclips represents the past (with w/present-day reactions to trailers and special programs), and the audience can decide which they'd prefer to engage with.
Sorry for the long-winded explanation, but I feel like I needed to be as thorough as possible for the situation to be clearly understood. I'm very excited to be streaming Version 4.7 content on Twitch while also editing the version 4.2 content, and posting Version 3.6 content for this RUclips channel, so in a sense, there's a little something for everyone.

18:02 i heartily disagree with the person who said that in chat. the khaenriahn ppl didn’t do anything BUT the five sinners who proceeded to inspire clothar to create the abyss order (the sinner) and created the abyssal monsters (Gold) def deserve some kinda punishment for what they’ve done to ppl. the entire nation was lit chilling without a god and just bc of some crazy scientists it went downhill. celestia deciding to punish all of them for a mistake that was only committed by a handful reminds me of my dads military stories 😭🤣
