Rewatching this just reminds you how PEAK Sumeru was, and I think because some people might prefer Sumeru over Fontaine, just shows how good this AQ really was (For me Fontaine AQ is the favorite). I still can't believe they managed to top this in Fontaine, and I guarantee, just how we were like "How the hell are they gonna top this in Fontaine?" and they did, the exact same thing is gonna happen in Natlan, where we will be like "HOW??", which I can't wait for, I am prepared to have my mind blown this fall, not to mention this upcoming Dain quest(I HOPE IT'S 3 HOURS LONG PLEASE HOYOVERSE)
A lot of people hated the Sumeru story, but honestly it was one of the best moments in the game

I personally didn’t see much dislike until we got to Fontaine but ugh Idk I just don’t agree with the sentiment of : since the new shiny thing is good actually the past was so bad. Like if at any point one got so excited with Liyues climax of the AQ it doesn’t suddenly becomes the worst thing ever just bc of another quest, just because things are getting better. And yeah idk, Fontaine was fantastic ofc but I still personally place Sumeru’s AQ at a higher spot. Also not to be that guy but 2 CCs that I know didn’t like Sumeru are big lore and dialogue skippers, I won’t draw any conclusion tho

BRUH I just realized- when I was watching your Aranara Quest let's play I was super confused because I didn't remember any mention of this 'Queen Aranyani', but brushed it off since I thought it was my bad memory. Turns out no, and I also ignored the fact that I never saw 'Lord of Verdure' or the alternative titles in your playthrough either, which is what changed before and after the final act of the AQ. The attention to detail is crazy. Also, in retrospect that hurts all the more, because "The forest will always remember" said after the forest forgot... Crying_hand_over_mouth_meme.png
After that Goddess of flower talk with deshret, makes more sense. Like she warned deshret not to seek the master of the four shades if he does it Nail of retribution will fall, doesn't that mean Phanes is the Heavenly principles and second who came is someone unknown? As third one is already dead.
If we assume the master of the four shades/phanes to be the enemy of celestia/the heavenly principles, then we can interpret the heavenly principles nuking deshret with a nail as them wanting to maintain their big coverup of phanes' existence, like how it's forbidden to read before sun and moon and how orobashi got killed for reading it
Aside from the absolute lore bomb that was dropped during this, the best part of this section is the AlHaitham/Kaveh interaction!

Another thing is that I heard that in honkai star rail had a glider from Genshin impact. I'd like to believe that honkai and genshin are kind of connected, I don't play honkai star rail since I barely have storage sadly but hopefully one day I'd be able to give it a try. I've been exploring the desert and almost 100% it, and to think the abyssal sibling belonged to the world of Teyvat, they were the anomaly. Before I used to question as to who in the world we were traveling with if our twin belonged to the world.

What is cool about the whole helping the desert plot is that in the second part of Jeht's quest both Cyno and Nahida are mentionned in notes around the tribe of the tanit, which actually connect the WQ to the AQ
After now having bedtime stories Dain quest I'm thinking our twin (or the leylines) had their memories altered by the Loom. Would explain why they and Dain constantly contradict eachother, why they're in Irminsul, why their Irminsul memories suddenly get fuzzy and why they had such a drastic switchup. Also now that the loom is complete, any memory alters can't be undone which seems pretty unimportant to the plot to add unless it's actually incredibly significant to the story. The Aranara also knew of the Loom and really pushed the idea of memories so it feels like Irminsul now being the only way to erase memories and people is going to come back into play especially since we haven't see Dottore burn the tree and we haven't had they travail teaser Sumeru title as a quest but every other nation thus far has had it. It also lines up with his following the Gnostic Chorus (battlepass story)

1:14:14 Do you think that maybe, because someone is manipulating and editing things about Lumine, similarly to a computer, the “computer” now recognizes Lumine as part of Tyvate? Like someone is constantly messing with and changing Lumines fate that the tree now recognizes it and just saved it as if Lumine is part of Tyvate. I don't know how to explain it but this is just purely my own theory.
gotta love how nahida gives you a mindbreak moment, honestly i think theres somekind of false memories aether has, this might make a huge turn in the end, like how the twins are together in the teyvat chapter trailer, but its only aether in the end.
also i think genshins story will combine with honkais story eventually, it is hoyoeverse after all.

If the abyss sibling is actually from beyond Teyvat, the traveller is correct, there should NOT be any info on them in Irminsul. There isn’t any info on the traveller as well, that’s why they are totally exempt from alterations within irminsul. However, this line from Nahida indicates there’s something strange going on with the sibling, because there actually is info on them in Irminsul

Damn big respect to you for wanting to see how the games connect with each other. I’ve been living my Genshin life wanting to see how this connects to the greater Honkaiverse, Sea of Stars, Sea of Quanta, the Abyss, Honkai corruption, and the fact that Otto once peered into Teyvat. The devs even said that Teyvat is a bubble world in a past interview. I can’t wait to see more connections too!

the heavenly principles is one person i’m pretty sure- and that’s phanes, the first who came or the primordial one. i think celestia is a group of gods, while the heavenly principles is like their leader. but he has been silent for many years as nahida said. also, could celestia really be the second who came? didn’t phanes create celestia? wouldn’t that mean celestia is from teyvat? the second who came was apparently punished by the first who came for waging war against phanes and his shining shades, the third is unknown but they’re apparently dead and their remnants are now what we know as the gnoses thanks to skirk. still don’t know why lumine is not classified as a descender, can’t wait for natlan to hopefully find out more intel about the descenders and the truth of this world. also could it be possible the tsaritsa is collecting all the gnoses to revive the third descender and wage war??
I mean if you've gotten to the narzzikeunz notes and the perihalyl (however it's spelt) book then you probably have a good idea why lumine isn't a descendar
Phanes, Primordial one, Heavenly Principles, Celestia(more like place/title) is the same entity. Back in the days it was popular to think that Celestia is a second who came and an impostor who overthrew Primordial one. But since then we had multiple cases of characters(Neuvilette, Apep come to mind) who call the one who stole power from dragons(Primordial one) Heavenly Principles. And imo second who came is Nibelung and I am dying on that hill :D.

Perinhlra + a line from wanderer's quest tells us the answer to why lumine is from this world, isn't a descendar, and her info got covered. I mean.... I'm guessing... It's still theories.
Lumine isn't from this world but even outside creatures are recorded in irmansul such as narwhal
Their are many outsiders in tyvat but non of them are considered as descender hack kondri'ah basically have army of outsiders

I mean I guess quick answer, she can't fight the world so isn't a descender. She started out belonging to the world because (based in the end of sumeru and wanderer's quest) she was summoned to khaen'riah.
And adding info from perihenri.
She got brought to khaen'riah because of the thing the crimson moon dynasty of khaen'riah were doing, basically farming for shiny outlanders (descenders, Pokémon reference btw)
Of course this part has no concrete proof, but one can assume that if you get the will to rival a world, you can be a descender, which I think was what narzzikeunz tried to do.
So abyss twin, I'm assuming, after getting the Sinners and abyss help, became a descender or maybe sharing a descender title idk so she gets blocked in irminsul (note this theory is based on the possibility that the term descender being literally just a title, you have to be recorded by people to know if you're descender, you don't just instantly get a title.)

Hm, I think the theory that Lumine could’ve created a clone of us that didn’t really “fit” in to Teyvat is really interesting, because that would’ve happened around the same time Ei did it with Scaramouche, using the technology from Khaenriah.
Both powerful women creating male clones, abandoning them and then letting them travel off by themselves, and both of these clones being “exceptions” to Irminsul. Not gonna lie, it does feel like there is some kind of reflection between Aether and Scaramouche, and this kinda pushes that connection if it’s true

Primordial One has Four Shade while Heavenly Principle has Seven Archon. That's a bit contradicting.
if we follow Arnold's theory,
1) Primordial One
2) Second who came
3) Heavenly Principle(???)
But we know in Fontaine quest that the gnosis is created from remains of the 3rd descender made by Primordial One and Second Who Came. Gnosis are used by Archons to connect with celestia
Heavenly Principle = Second Who Came is my current theory. Zero idea on who the 3rd one is

oh yeah, I was gonna answer you that we kinda know why the abyss twin isn't a descendar. Narzikkuez or however it's spelt world quest has notes that tells us not everyone from beyond can be a descendor, they must have the will to actual go against the world to be a descendar.
as for if you want my guess on the descendars. 1st phanes who is the heavenly principles and the sustainer is a shade.
2nd is 2nd who came obviously but no name. 3rd is nibelung, the dragon king who became a descendar and came back to fight, lost again and got recycled into the gnosis. yes very crackpot.... and...idk stripping nibelung made him into the Sinner lol.
Hey Arnold I dunno if you already got them but apparently 4.5 added 2 new books in the fontaine book store. Apparently it has huge lore in them ppl are saying it's sun & moon level.

My own cracked theory. Lumine is an alchemical accident born on teyvat and blew it up when the Khaenri’ans attempted to make a copy of her which resulted in us and sent us flying like a shooting star. 🤣🤣🤣🤡
I wonder if Aether and Lumine are alternate universe versions of each other and not actually twins, so that would explain why one twin is part of this Teyvat, and the other is considered a descender 🤔
1:08:00 I think when the Sustainer of the Heavenly Principle took our sibling (Aether or Lumine) she might sent our sibling to the Teyvat 500yrs ago and then she sent us to the current Teyvat. That might be the reason why our sibling already knew about world of Teyvat and has recorded from the Irminsul.

Aloy is 1000% the 5th Descender, who came after the Traveller.
She’s an outlander for sure, but the NZKZ Ordo questline clarified that someone can only be classified as a Descender” if their will is strong enough to create a world, destroy a world, sustain a world or protect a world. During Sumeru we were under the assumption that Descenders are people outside this world, but ANYBODY can be a descender if their will meets those criteria. So in Ally’s case, she’s an outlander but not a descender.

I don't know much about the lore, but I wanted to ask
If one of the sibling is the descender, do you think there is time loop in this game? Since we chose one of the sibling (assuming Aether) in the beginning, what about the players who chose Lumine? You think somewhere in the future we would come to a moment where we return on time (back on the beginning, but as Lumine) but the difference would be we already know what would happen.
I don't know if this comment makes sense, but I really love the concept of time travelling
Its canon guys, the hoyo devs didnt do dehya dirty by making her kit bad. It was her own wish, she wanted to put herself to the test, being OP as fuck would have made everything way too easy for her, so she chose to do everything the hard way.
I do want to say that irmunsul only makes up the history of teyvat therefore Lumine shouldnt be in irmunsul its like how even when fate is changed in irmunsul it doesnt effect us because we are not of this world therefore if she was not of this world nothing would be recorded of her in irmunsul and tampering with it would not effect her memories this voiceline is proof that somehow lumine has become intigrated with the world despite not being apart of it i have my own personal theory that our abyss twin isnt even real the leylines of the world are meant to grant wishes in caribert we learn the gods responded to the summoning of lumine i assume that we came to teyvat to look for our sister and the heavenly principles granted our wish of wanting to find our sister and therefore responded by summoning a creation like our sister for us to go on this journey and find it would explain why this is only the teyvat chapter because in the end we will learn she isnt real and continue on to the next world to find her
