The line "This foreign Gnosis will only lead to disaster if it stays in Sumeru" hits different in light of the things we learn in the Fontaine AQ, all of the things in fact so damn good job Hoyo. Am I so hype for the rest of the game and especially the Harbingers.
The line of discussion Nahida is having here with The Doctor isn't just info dumping she's gauging to see his willingness to delete his segments before she even brings up the threat never even noticed until now.
And I remember thinking Genshin had reached it's peak on this Sumeru AQ💚... and then Fontaine came along 🥲💙 I truly believe that Hoyoverse's writing is getting better and better; I cannot wait for Natlan ❤
Greater Lord Rukkhadevata's revelation of how Nahida and herself are an existence originated from Irminsul itself, its Avatar (parallel to Marana's Avatar), was such a satisfying explanation, what with all the teasing of them being the same. And so yes, they have the "same" beginning, but are inherently different beings because of the context they experienced during their developments. It had a cheeky foreshadow and I love it.
Yeah, in a way, Nahida is like a tree cutting that originated from Rukkhadevata. Both are technically the same, but each are different individuals because they experience something different.
The music, animation and everything just blended well on that Rukkhadevata scene, they did it beautifuly and the fact that they made the effort to erase her mentions in books, npc dialogues and other sources just erasing her recognition for her sacrifices is what got me at the time.

This archon quest was where I knew that Hoyo had kicked this game into a new gear, and that the quality improvement over Inazuma was real. Glad to say that Fontaine archon quests have also been great quality too!

I love that we could know from the get-go the plan would succeed, as in, go as planned. Whenever you're told the plan in advance, specially if it's in detail, it's only normal that something WILL go wrong, thus disrupting your expectations. However, when you know the characters have discussed the plan but are in the dark as to what exactly it is, and it is being revealed to you along the way, you can pretty much rest assured that everything will go according to keikaku, even if you don't what the extent of the plan is (TN: keikaku means plan). The two approaches deliver different a good resolution in different ways, but always making it so the developments stay a surprise. It's a bit of a meta way to look at it, but at least that was my experience when playing this part, and I was just eating my popcorn and enjoying the show, knowing their scheming would end well. It didn't detract at all, if anything made me appreciate all the effort that went into it more.
it's the song 😭 this song is just so hopeful and yet sad at the same time. the fontaine equivalent of it would be dream through the looking glass/ narcissus lullaby for me. ordo quest is peak and every time i hear that ost i die a little inside. i even tear up listening to the battle theme with this melody as letimotif in it, im a lost cause 😂

I wonder if specifically the Electro Gnosis is necessary to retrieve the final memory of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata since Dendro + Electro = Catalyze. Or any gnosis would be able to provide sufficient energy to access the final memory of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.
Legit, the thought of a lot of segments of Dottore is probably disturbing. Dottore might have been alive for maybe more than just a hundred year if he were to become the second harbinger and do many experiments while in the Fatui. In the manga I think that the Dottore in the manga was probably a segment of his.

This is where I started crying for the first time, there were so much happening but I was able to keep up in the story. The one thing that hits me more in this story is that Greater Lord Rukkhadevata sacrifice herself to save the world by letting EVERYONE forget her existence except the Traveler as a Witness/Recorders because the traveler not from Tayvat and that the Traveler is one of the Descenders
Also I don’t know if other people said this, but here 11:13, I never even realized how ironic this is to the science aspect, but from a science standpoint, in order for a plant to grow and turn into a tree the seed must die in order for the plant to grow, AKA (I’m probably going to butcher spelling the former archon’s name, so I’ll just call her Ruka) Ruka had to die by constantly shrinking her size from a tree to a small tree into a sapling into a seed and then die in order for a plant to grow, or in this case for Nahida to live… I feel so sorry now, truly an Archon worthy even of innocence and unblemished heart, she definitely is way different from many of the other archons, so interesting~

This AQ always hurts and that's probably why it is my favorite even to this day. It is always nice to watch your playthrough and how you notice things that most people don't usually pay attention to. Also, every time a Harbinger collects a Gnosis I find myself more convinced that the conversation between the Tsaritza and the Fatui went like this: -Go and collect the Gnosis but don't hurt the Archons, please! -Okay but Barbatos left me burning around Teyvat for five hundred years, can I least punch him? -Signora asked -Okay you can punch him but just once!
In that quest Traveler for the first time starts to hide information from Paimon. She is still doesn't know about Rukkhadevata. Since than i feel like it could escalate into conflict between MC and Paimon...

The moment I saw Nahida crying, my heart shattered into pieces. She and Rukkhadevata were essentially the same person in two bodies with different experiences, it was such a thin line separating Nahida from the truth. The writing of this Archon quest was truly the pinnacle of their storytelling at the time, and I’ll never forget how moved I was after that. I hope the writing of Genshin only progressively improves over time ❤️

The powers from outside the world that seeped in and corrupted Irminsul and other nations, it’s definitely something like Honkai corruption, the powers of an unknown Aeon, or the corrupting energies of the Sea of Quanta. Honkai has been called the Abyss before, so it’s all very interesting to see this from a greater Hoyoverse perspective.
And sadly for those who love to read the lore and choose to finish the archon quest first. Spoiler for those new people: After finishing the archon quest, anything related to the greater lord would be gone after that. Item lore, description. ANYTHING, it would change into lesser lord kusanali description.
Goodness me… this quest and only this quest, I probably don’t even have the words to describe how painful and sad this one was, but I have a feeling almost every comment here will share the same feeling we all had after this one, she may be gone in Teyvat’s memory, but she will forever be remembered in all our hearts and minds, truly heartbreaking and so sad, really reminds me of the Aranara Quest too… I feel like I have one question I still have for this region: Who is Marana in theory and correlation to the lore? is it a name that is useless to remember now that She made her memory and existence void to make sure the withering never happens, or is it a Being that always spawns and creates avatars of himself whenever the forbidden knowledge is leaked into the world? After all we only fought an avatar of Marana, not Marana themselves, and I feel like Marana is a similar name title given by the Aranara like the people of Enkanomiya did to Istaroth, so maybe the name Marana is actually a name for the god of Death, one of the shades of Phanes…maybe? We never knew what the other shades’s powers were, but assuming that the artifacts represent the shades, Plume of Death, Hourglass of Time, Flower of Life Etc. and knowing that only Phanes was killed by Celestia and the others probably fled and hid themselves, could it actually be that Marana is actually one of the shades of Phanes? A very weird theory I made up in my head, but I am very curious about that being in particular!

Sumeru and fontaine's archon quest is the reason why i think GI has better story telling than HSR and It's not even close. I may prefer hsr gameplay, but when it comes to story telling, i definitely prefer GI.

Most people thought the same but recently it was confirmed by the VA of Dottore that it wasn't. The last one was supposed to be a child version of him, but Hoyo couldn't find a child VA in time, so the actual VA did it in the end, trying to sound younger.

Dottore is a really well written villain! That's why I hope he is never playable, otherwise he would have to be redeemable in some way, and I prefer him irredeemable. I also don't think it will be us that takes him out in the future, there's a certain Wanderer that deserves that privilege much more than us.

Same here! I still found 4.2 to be beautiful and moving, but I didn’t cry at all
i think it was more gut-wrenching to see Furina suffer so much, but I did get emotional seeing neuv cry while using his authority.

Honestly. I loved the Fontaine archon quest but Nahida having to erase Rukkhadevatta will always hit like a truck in the feels. By far my favorite archon quest till date. 😭
Sumeru and fontaine's archon quest is the reason why i think GI has better story telling than HSR and It's not even close. I may prefer hsr gameplay, but when it comes to story telling, i definitely prefer GI.

They're different actors, Dottore is voiced by Mick Wingertz meanwhile Ratio is voiced by Jordan Paul Haro.

Most people thought the same but recently it was confirmed by the VA of Dottore that it wasn't.
The last one was supposed to be a child version of him, but Hoyo couldn't find a child VA in time, so the actual VA did it in the end, trying to sound younger.

Dottore is a really well written villain! That's why I hope he is never playable, otherwise he would have to be redeemable in some way, and I prefer him irredeemable. I also don't think it will be us that takes him out in the future, there's a certain Wanderer that deserves that privilege much more than us.
