glad i saved more people. the mother and daughter is the best one. i think most players are missing out where the mother and daugjter was saved by Hydro Fatui. she said something about fatui saved them and sacrificed himself to protect them. they even said like their image about fatui was wrong and started to think that fatui are good people. they prayed on his dead body. RIP HERO
@@benjiemaquilanperoy7348yeah that part got me emotionally, literally used his own body to keep them safe even after he died. Just heavy hitting non-verbal writing. Love it
I know. It was the first time I truly felt so hopeless to save people. I know games have an element of immersion in it. But it was the first time I realized I was immersed in the realities of war…and it made me the most emotional I have ever been in any Genshin Impact quest, period. I wanted to cry multiple times. My heart broke multiple times over the course of the war
Yeah, i remember clearly when the first Natlan teaser came out and the hardliner fans complained about cheery map & lacking wars. Hoyo dev be like : shut up and eat this
@@mark-ut3pm Not gonna lie, I love being proven wrong. From "New balloon mechanics? Imma screenshots the scenery" to "What the hell". I didn't expect the sudden turns of events, and the depth it went. Needless to say, I played the whole quest overnight, totally absorbed in and out. They outdid themselves, again. Absolute peak.
I motivated the chubby lady who carried the potions to send her supplies with the help of fatuis. Then when I saw her corpse at the abyss tumor afterwards, Im like “NOOOOOOOOO!” If I didnt ask her to go, she would have survived & appeared in the stadium. 😢
I was trying to look into the consequences of accomplishing that optional mission with Awhina in the area where you help the Fatui defend the caravan, and you're telling me it ends badly for her? That's messed up... If you chose (I did) to backup the Children of the Echoes instead of the Fatui (and you might have to complete the optional mission of finding the additional abyssal pylon), then when you visit the Children of the Echoes again after the big abyss ball appears in the sky, there will be more warriors alive and fighting. Did you notice any changes/benefits in cutscenes from assisting the Fatui defend the caravan? I was hoping it meant more Fatui would appear in later fights.
ah this quest was so sad. in my playthrough i managed to save the mother with her daughter, as well as the last soldier protecting the civilians. but i was too late to save any of the sauriers so only the baby was still alive...
Wait how do I save the mother and child properly bc I'm confused of the north and south explanation like if I pick an direction will I be restricted to only that direction?
@@pokeygem6783 no i think you just have to be fast but still do the optional objectives? i tried to go to locations near me or prioritise civilians. i went to the fatui location when i saw it (choose between fatui and saurian) and once there you have to go near the body of the cryo one to trigger a cutscene
@@_nehalenniayes. Those "optional" objectives mattered because we need to talk to everyone on the camp we were on. Phew. Glad i was patient with the rescue mission. I wss actually surprised and inpressed by the new mechanic, albeit the atory was a depressing one.
There's part when we ride the air balloon passed by canopy tribe, showing most of people there died and a lot of saurians died on the land too. its such a grim& chaos sight ngl..it feels like forever riding that air balloon! my heart.. i just want ot to end it already 😭
I can't do anything, I want to jump from the hot air balloon but I can't. In map, the chiefs are still at war, but there is no choice to go there until the map is covered in fog
I watched some streamers and I noticed they have fewer people in the stadium -the mother and child -the baby yumkasaur / it and the 3 people it was with -iirc the dude who was asking if being afraid is normal -doctor lady -messenger scion guy with the saurians -the scion guy with the civilians on the stronghold / only the glasses guy and the old guy on the scion stronghold I prioritized the stronghold of the scions, the civilians evac on the north since I thought the saurians could handle it(finding them wiped out with two of them still holding hands and the baby alone on the watchtower made me pause for a while), and the fort of the children of echoes which I managed to save some more people and the tepetlisaur(iirc I went there twice) I had -doctor lady -scion warrior and the other civilians on the stronghold -mother and child -shaky knees dude -baby yumkasaur It feels bad but I don't regret it... I'm only wondering if I there was a route where I could've saved more especially after realizing there were missing NPCs in the overworld, some of which were involved in world quests and daily commissions
some missing NPCs are missing because they've moved - if an an NPC who normally talks with them is still there, they can tell you where they've gone. some NPCs are displaced because they've volunteered to help out in other areas (I've yet to find them "in the wild" but perhaps they'll show up in future areas?).
@@lagrangewei there are a few more deceased whose names get mentioned by the two NPCs talking in front of the Speaker's Chamber. other NPCs confirm who is/n't dead.
I call it the “no return point” in Genshin. The moment when all innocence was lost, as well as all the rose-tintedness the game had. *_Things are only going to get darker and deeper from here on out. Brace yourselves for impact._*
@@HirokaAkita😂They always do that. HI3 is one of the prime example. After chapter 5, shxt start to get real! Im used to that, but not immue to the effect
@@Joemama1488ez given how Fatui has exploited orphaned children (like Lyudochka from the Inazuma - Shuumatsuban hidden quest as well as House of the Hearth), yeah all sense of rose-tintedness was already lost since the beginning, as well as Khaenri'ah's demise across every ruin we visit.
The real point of no return will be at Sneznaya, as the entire Teyvat storyline is just the first act of Genshin's story. The moment we "complete our journey"; realizing the state of the world and the status quo of Teyvat, it will face the 2nd Cataclysm the moment the the Heavenly Principles awaken and the Abyss Order fulfill their mission.
saving the baby yumkasaur was the best, and I loved how at the end of the war the baby yumkasaur had made it back to the stadium. They're friends. I hate that we have to kill them in Natlan for supplies.
This is war, and psychologically this can happen. Not everyone can be salvaged. People die, and friendship is absolutely nonexistent. You rescue who's in front of you, unfortunately. That's how warfare works.
The worst part is that the game shows you who is participating. *_But the game gives you no idea who you are saving other than the warriors. You can't even apply the self-driving car dilemma here. The actual decision is made blindly, and that hurts even more._*
This quest got me traumatised. I wasn't prepared mentally AT ALL, cause genshin never showed us actual... Dead bodies. The only time I saw one is in Tighnari's story quest and I was kinda shocked. But now... When I saw them laying there, I was like... They're just knocked out, right?.. They'll be fine? I never was pressing buttons that aggressively. I got my best units, equipped them with the best I got. I was fighting like never before, even spiral abyss didn't see me raging like this. And Paimon's anxious voice...
The first dead character we saw was in the We Will be Reunited quest. The Treasure Hoarder who's body was set up in a prayer pose by the Abyss Order in front of Venti's upside down Statue.
I was hoping someone would provide a comparison of the outcomes of our choices and here's one that spells them out so clearly, thank you and Naa both, R0ver!!
After the abyss cutscene, I saved the Mother/child combo, sadly I wasn't able to save the Saurian trainers, I also haven't found the mother and his son, but I was able to reinforce both the Scions outpost and the Children of the Echoes' holdout. The chubby potion lady died in my playthrough, too. Thankfully I had only 1.9k deaths in the end. Still, that's a thousand souls extinguished. EDIT: No matter what route you will take, you CANNOT save everyone.
Yeah, same decision. I opt to save mother and daughter because I figure the trainer shall be able to hold on their own. Welp, I was wrong. Others are purely out of rationalize on resource, possible for evac. The child of echo camp, if I have option, I wont even try to provide reinforcement. By the time Scion of Canopy is lost, it wont make strategic sense to provide any reinforcement to child of echo. Since restreating form their camp to capital is not possible in practical sense
i was prioritizing to get rid of the pylons first. I mean, we are traveler, the strongest warrior at the Natlan rn. The only makes sense to us is to go on the frontline attacking the core of the problem while the those below us and civilians were on their own survival mode and i got 1.9k death toll.
Whenever I did this quest, I tried to consider the consequences of each action. Usually, I’d try to save the people, so I did that first. Ended up saving someone who was looking for the doctor lady (I think she was his mom but I don’t remember). The next place caused me to run into the doctor. Those events caused the two to reunite in the end (they are both talking next to Mavuika after the quest) I also prioritized the Children of Echoes which led a large number of survivors since I went back twice to fight. I got the cutscene with the one Scion member and the civilians coming out to fight. I lost the mother and child though. The three people and baby Yumkasaur were also spared. It is sad that you can’t save everyone. There are also people missing in the overworld after the quest likely meaning many perished in the battle. I was also wondering if the npcs fighting had their own health bar. I thought I saw it deplete a couple times. The only “funny” part of the quest was Ajaw complaining that Kinich didn’t die. I was like “Dude, he died twice. What do you mean?” Only time I laughed because I messed up twice in a short amount of time since I ascended my world level right before this. That was a mistake
@@silverhawkscape2677 I know the mother and child as well as the scion messenger you can save died. I’m sure there were more though. I think my counter said a high of 10k deaths if I remember correctly
When the game mentioned dynamic progression, I thought it's just that I could miss some events. But actual different outcomes as well? Goddamn they cooked.
I just finished the quest a few hours earlier, I wasn't able to save the mother and the daughter sadly as i went to the guy fighting alone first but i'm glad i was able to save those 4 people and a few saurians. Damn this quest hit hard
@@kurokensteinI guess you fail to save 3 people with baby yumkasaur, because i do the same route. I think we can only save people in 2 place out of 3.
I wish someone has made a video that had all the consequences. 😭 I wanna see all the different things I could've gotten, and also be reminded of my routes and who I saved because I don't remember. I chose randomly...
Yes. Because THIS is what we expected from the get go. Too bad a good part of the Archon quest is bogged down by a slow moving balloon you can't jump off of, a "friendship is power" story. Also, Mavuika is a moron and natlan being saved LITERALLY BY PLOT ARMOR! "We need to wait for the heroes to awaken" and did you have a plan for HOW to get them to awaken? NO! So the story had fking PLOT ARMOR on top of that to "work." 1 good thing in Natlan's story has tons of negatives which isn't good
@nobody-xh6ii the slow first few acts is meant to set up the climax of act 4. You see what the people love and treasure. You see it get taken awawya and the tolls it leaves. So many people romanticize war and combat and wanted natlan t9 be an edgy bloodbath of barbaric warriors ignoring that they are still meant to be people who live in the world
@@nobody-xh6iiYup, genshin story is always about friendship and hugs. At this point I don't even care anymore. If I wanted a game with a good story about horrors of war I would replay spec ops or medal of honour. This is just a fairy tale for kids, deserved 12+
@@rushalias8511 Not to mention having a chaotic start at the get-go wouldn't have been good story telling. Every good story has a similar set up- Introduction (where you meet the main chars and supporting cast, set the scene, and MAYBE introduce the conflict), the Build-up (conflict and tensions rise), climax (when a major plot point happens and things come to a head), the fall out (the effects of the climax), and the conclusion (when all loose ties are settled). Plus you have to have a nice pace. I think so far Natlan has had the best pacing out of all major Archon quests so far. Let's hope it nails the conclusion.
also there a small option talks to saved npc's. like that one guy ask if we must die fight be hero, then i chose option "just fight to protect". then on stadion that guy thanks us for that talk.
I think i choose the option of your life is important (this one guy yes? Kinda forgot) next I saw him was in the arena where he said thank you and what I said had save him and his friends (something close to these lines) so same result
@@lFurinl i think it was him(yeah, i forgot the lines too) the blue hat guy (not wanderer LOL). it was nice little touch on story. even there tons of victims we can't save at time, but at least there is hope and spirit to move forward.
@@ShanMichaelEscasio Yes. But this quest will teach you that you can't save everyone. You fight in the north, there will be heavier casualties in the south. You fight in the south, there will be heavier casualties in the north. You cannot save everyone. Just like in a real war.
Of course you skipped some of them. The game makes you choose between 2 groups to save in a couple of ocasions and makes sure to let you know that the one that you're not choosing will probably die because you went to the other one
You can't save them all The game showed 3 random locations that you can go to, once you pick a location, the other 2 location will disappear, once you finished that location, new 2 locations will appear So in other word, the 2 old locations you didnt go, people died
I happen to saw a video about the only survior the saurian. So when I do the quest, I come to where most of the people and got the first one: the survivors all came out of the house and fight together. I then quickly came to the saurians and able to save them. However... the fatui, mother and daughter, I couldn't. I see the mother lied down, then I see your video. I now know about the chance I could have saved them. It's heart broken... 1890 people died on my account.
there are 3 occasions where players must choose: 1. Go to achiyaku base or help saurian (share the task with nusta) 2. Go to chimalli base or help fatui 3. Go north or south what i know: occasion 1: if you pick achiyaku base, the 2nd time you go there he and all survivors are still alive.. but if not (meaning the 1st time coming to achiyaku base) he and some survivors are dead occasion 2: if you pick chimalli base, the 2nd time you go there'll be no casualties.. but if not (meaning the 1st time coming to chimalli base) some of them die occasion 3: pick north->save mother, daughter, and yumkasaur whelp in south / pick south->save 3 survivors and yumkasaur whelp (yep, the yumkasaur whelp will always survive no matter what you choose).. choose 1 and the rest die besides these 3 occasions im more curious about all the optional quest, such as saving tepoz mother mayahuel or cheering up uturunku
When the mission started, I was in the ballonn like "OHO A BALLOON", fighting the first fight like "Here we go!" But when I started seen dead bodies when I was flying on the ballon I got scaried thinking "If I jump here, the mission will fail?" But seen that made me go for jump, but then the balloon stoped me. From helping the people down there fighting and dying. And I realized that there was more people that needed my help, that I was not able and have no time to help everyone. That gave me chills like almost anytjing did before. (Sorry bad english)
You're missing the point. During the balloon ride, you were forced to pass by many people in trouble. This is because you had to prioritize the mission you were given. Everyone cannot be saved. It is the duty of a soldier to do the best he can, not panic and try to do everything at once.
The problem is that even if you don't use the balloon, they don't allow you to go on foot. It would have been good if it was YOUR CHOICE if you want to go on foot or prioritize the mission. I would have used a super fast and destructive team, probably saving the greatest number of people. not 100% but 80%, however by not allowing walking they restrict the objective of the mission which is to fight as much as you can 😷
@@jerson.romantico.1521 then people will complain how tedious it will be. Imagine if they locked the portals and the mission is in the children of echoes and you're in the children of the springs? I can already see people whining about it. Also this AQ is structured like the Three Realms Gateway event, so I think they had to compromise on something
The 1 comparison I found out after watching someone else complete their quest was the purple hair chubby girl from People of the Springs, in my playthrough I encountered her delivering potions to her tribe, but succumbed later on (you can save her by telling her to not go deliver the potions instead) and Tepoz's mom, which I saved during my playthrough and she'll be reunited with her son, but if you ignore the Scions of the Canopy areas, she'll die and Tepoz will be sitting alone on the floor at the stadium bar.
NO BCS SAME i look every single dead body in that place but I've never got the cut scene like that, mb if only im going a little bit closer i could save them😭😭😭
Cmiiw, I try to summarize the choices after watching various playthroughs and read some comments. Warning: it's hard to avoid SPOILER, read at your own risk Things to note: it's impossible to save all no matter what you choose; and apparently there's a hidden timer, the longer you took to fight=more casualities (apparently it's possible for the casualty to reach 5 digits), opening map doesn't pause it I suggest try to talk to every npc you meet and help them. You can check the buff and adjust your team. The pins on the map change for every stops, giving you the newest intel from various places About the stops... 1. The first one is the same for everyone 2. Scions of the canopy and saurians If you go to canopy, you'll find a lot of people and you'll save a doctor. When you come back later, some warriors died but a lot of survivors overall. If you don't, a lot of monsters will be around and there'll be less survivors. If you go to saurians, you'll save a messenger. This messenger is the one you'll talk to in the stadium if you save him, if not it'll be another messenger you'll talk to. 3. Children of echoes and caravan+fatui From the desc, children of echoes' case sounds more urgent. If you don't come here you'll see less people here later. There's additional task to clear out monsters and if you talk to npcs, some will give you items. If you go to fatui, you'll join them to save the caravan. But if you encourage them to deliver the supplies, you'll find their bodies later in the people of the springs 4. Key site defense Near stadium, same for everyone 5. Survivor search and rescue, north and south If you go to north first, you'll save mother and daughter. You find nobody if you don't come here first. If you go to south first, you'll save 3 npcs and a baby saurian. Only the baby saurian survives if you don't come here first. 5.5. Stadium Heal and adjust party here. The messenger you'll meet here will be different, depends on your 2nd route 6. Scions of the canopy The result if you went here or not for 2nd choice. You'll meet more survivors if you came here for 2nd choice and vice versa 7. Survivor search and rescue, north and south The result for your 5th choice 8. Children of echoes If you came here for your 3rd choice, you'll meet more survivors 9. The people of the springs Same for everyone. No survivor. Depends on your 3rd route and choice, you'll see familiar faces 10. Air balloon to near children of echoes After taking balloon to near children of echoes, you'll fight some monsters. Here you can meet Toto (Kachina's big friend). Toto's survival depends on how fast you clear out monsters here. After fight, if you see an npc near Toto, you can talk to npc and Toto's alive. If there's no npc near Toto, you know... 11. Xilonen+Kachina, Chasca, stadium Same for everyone, story. In stadium you'll meet various npcs, depends on your route 12. Last, CHEAT MODE No more casualty. Just do your best :D Don't forget to check map for voicelines
Also, TRY to do the optionals, if you can. And talk to NPCs. Also, if you can, bring a strong team so you can minimize the time it takes to finish each rescue segment.
I'm not really good with combat in the game and my damage sucks-just like my English. So, thank you so much for sharing your findings, kind person. I hope I can try to minimize the number of deaths in my account with this knowledge
I decided to not watch any 5.1 archon quest related videos 'cause I don't want spoilers. But now I kinda regret it. I would've save more if I had watched other's playthrough 😢 if only I knew...
I'm the opposite. I'm glad I was shocked by the sudden turns. Heck, I didn't even there are multiple outcomes, until I saw streamers after. It's not that I managed to save more (you can't save everyone, after all), but it's that my decision actually matters and saved those I could.
Exactly my situation…. I honestly could care less with all the npc deaths + I only had 1974 deaths in the end…. But I lost Toto 🤧 I don’t know how to look at Kachina anymore 😖
2:24 mine was different, I started on the north, I was able to save the mother and daughter then when i went to the south one of them was still fighting.
You was fast enough that why,the thing is those npc lose hp so while you are saving the mother and daughter, those npc are still fighting. Unlike world quest npc, their hp is low
@@AdQa10 it all depends on choices and how long your stay on location. The shorter you take, the better chances of survival there are for the other groups.
Finding the one fighting isnt determined for going first to south. It is determined for going one time there before portals start spawning, just so you have the option to return and find the guy. Going north first and saving the mother and daughter means that you only will find yumkasaur whelp alone when go to south
This is honestly well-done on the developer's part, for Genshin at least (or gacha games in general IIRC)... If they can actually do this, imagine if they actually make the story beyond this point choice based: heck imagine even the ending of this game's story in Khaenri'ah chapter being determined by your choice, or maybe Snezhnaya capitalizing on this game design. Or better yet, rewrite Inazuma Act 3 with this in use.
If you go rescue fatui soldier. And then talk to Awhina as the optional choice. She want to go deliver medicine to the hot spring. If you choose "fatui can escort you there" - you will found her body, lifeless next time you get near the hot spring for the final battle record. If you choose "wouldn't risk it". She will head to the stadium and survive through the war..... And the casualties will decrease a bit as those Med was used for all injured warrior at the stadium. Rather than wasted at it way to the hot spring
This is really interesting!! I believe I ended up saving the two girls first and then went to the canopy area where someone was still fighting however when I arrived in the saurian area all of them were dead but one. When I arrived at the saurian area and I saw the "Find survivor(s)" I knew I f-ed up
See this is confusing, because I got all of them alive! When I helped the Canopy guys, I got the 1 survivor later joined by 2 civilians who ask for weapons to fight... And then I went north, the fatui were all dead but the mother & child survived under the stairs. Then I did the saurian fight, and found the baby saurian alive on the tower. tbf I had no idea what I was doing, chose locations at random, but I made sure to complete all the mini missions...
if i’m not wrong, you can only choose 2 out of 3 at max. if you found the baby saurian at the tower, that means you failed to save the people in that location. for me, i got the survivor with the two civilians, the people with the dead saurians, but lost the mother and the child.
@@GeminiX31I just took a fast look and didn't memorize it but I guess it's very close to this. There are people with more than 6k casualties. Crazy...
The hospital checkpoint where the survivors are is based on if you went there at the 1st branching path selection, not if you pick south 1st. I picked the hospital, then the Fatui transporters. The 2nd paths i picked the north, then the south. Although i would have saved more total people if I went south 1st, saving the mother and daughter somehow felt like the more moral choice. You also get some phenomenal voice work from Paimon in English.
Oooff, even though I don't understand a word Naa's saying . . . I can still feel her emotions, which I think is universal. We don't have to speak the same language to understand feelings. Yeah this part of the game almost made me cry. As horrible as this war was, I think it was needed in this point in the WHOLE story. We got to see tragedy on a massive scale this time. Plus the feelings I felt made me cheer when things finally turn around and I loved that feeling! I do wonder in Act 5 if our actions there will put a SERIOUS dent in the Abyss's plans when it comes to the overall story. Like the Loom of Fate was brought up in this Act and the idea of it being used to help Natlan in the long run might be a good thing IF something happens to the Lord of the Night. All speculation of course and I could be wrong.
I somehow saved both the mother-daughter due and the guy fighting in scions of the canopy but when I arrived in the watch tower the little sauriyan was the only one alive….I didn’t realise there were four people there I could’ve saved.
This is the first time Genshin ever made me cry. First thing in the past few years to hit me hard enough to cry. Hoyo hit hard here. Specifically when you find the 6th warrior and the scene that came after. I was muttering "I will not cry for Fatui Foot soldiers" and then kept getting hit in the feels. That scene just threw me over the edge. Also I went north first and saved the mother and daughter, then to the saurian camp to save the baby saurian, then the other southern camp where there was one guard left with the survivors. I was desperately wondering the what ifs, but now I can quiet them. Thank you for putting this video together!
While I was slaughtering the monsters, on my heart I really hope I would be faster, but at the alway too late to saves others, when the hot air balloon is passing by the scions of canopy seeing all those people on the ground I literally yelled “LET ME GET DOWN THERE!!!” And I really want jump down the balloon to check even if there is a small chance that there still someone survived. When it pass by the canopy I feel super hopeless didn’t save them when I have around 30 characters on lvl 80+😭😭😭
It's nice being able to save certain characters so those who died didn't die for nothing, but unfortunately you can't save them all. I was able to save the mother and daughter, but all that was left was a lone baby Yumkasaur when I went to the next location.
I didn't know there was also a mother and daughter...I was only able to save the first one and four survivors..But tbh,i didn't even know you had options! And i thought the numbers of deaths were auto, but no it depends wheter you save them or not..
These cases, acting truelly on intuition is the reliable source since, what matters the most is what you can instinctually grasp what's going on without second thought and make the best of it. No one wins a war. But stopping it once and for all is a victory.
I was only able to save the Survivors with the Saurians and the Last Warrior Standing with those Civilians, though it brought tears to my eyes when I found out that there was a Mother and Daughter I failed to save 😢
The North and south part i manage to save both of them not sure how but i got the kid and the mother out and saved the last scion of canopy warrior maybe it depends how fast you clear the mobs? in 2:55 when i got there i didn't find any survivors fighting all i found was a baby saurian hiding in the tower but yea this story has a ton of emotional damage
😭 I haven’t done the quest and now I’m watching videos to save as many ppl as possible but it seems impossible. I don’t think you can save the mother and child without being too late for the saurians
i was able to save the Mother and the Daughter even after saving the Last guy fighting I thought there is no survivor cause there was no marker or anything but if you try to hover around where the Cryo(Hydro) Fatui you'll see them there hiding. Though iirc I failed to save the Saurians and a couple of people with them I believe you can save 2 out of 3
@@noeyutama Mrpokke also has a similar scenario. But iirc impacting the morale of some people before the dark cloud also plays a role in it. MrPokke kinda picked some wrong dialogues and even chose to help an outpost that is pretty defended which is why the other weaker outpost or far away areas easily got taken over. The lone soldier also is affected whether or not you help them initially before the storm clouds so every action before the sky darkens also affects whether you can save 2 or just 1
Man, when I did this Archon quest, I really took the time to think of my decisions, because every decision I make would decide what happens. I guess in the end, it didn't really do much considering so many other people died... 😥
Man, in the first mission I took my time to think too, but when I saw the other dead bodies I was choosing the first path that I saw cuz I though that if I could be faster and kill the enemies faster the people will survive. But no, it really is just the choice you make 😢 (sorry bad english)
bro im so glad i saved the mother and daughter.. i actually cries multiple times during this quest. 2000+ deaths were caused by this war. (i miss chuychu. she was amazing o7)
My thought process was, which is more in dire need...most distance from any ally in the battle report. Glad i chose the Fatui ones and saved the mother and daughter.
I think the 2 location choices are the mom+kid vs baby yumkasaurus, because the other place with green cowboy hat n civilians coming out of house all still survive even though I went to the mom+kid place first.
i have choices i regret making going into this blind but im rlly glad i made the right decision for #5 and was fast enough for toto despite the,,, uh,,, 7k casualties
At 1:23 The person on the top left is the mother as I looked through over gameplays on whom they prioritized saving the north mission the person isnt there, aswell as when you choose to save/assist the Fatui near the Saurian imprisoned camp you get to save the potion lady on which she dies regardless as one of the bodies in the first time you discovered the advanced abyssal pylon thing(near Mualani’s tribe) shes there with a broken carriage
you can tell the potion lady to abandon her stupid idea of going to the spring and go to the stadium instead. and if you save the doctor, it was solve the problem that the doctor could not find medical supplies... does the better medical care actually do anything? i don't know, it could just be favor dialogue but it does seem that is what seem to be the option the game expect, together with saving the mother who will help the doctor too...
i choose same location as Naa but i completely miss the mom and daughter defended by the kindhearted fatui there... did i fail them.... damn it why didn't i pay attention to quest log that time
in my playthrough Active mons = 2572 Dropped to = 2442 when after Mavuika use the divine throne powers Total Deaths = 2115 Incident resolve= 17 save & assisted npc -mother & child -scion of canopy messenger along with the saurians -the baby yumkasaur -the guy talking about being afraid -two scion of canopy people ( man w/ glass & old man) - warriors along children of echoes stronghold - warriors of children of echoes alongside with Toto (kachina giraffe saurian friend, thank goodness he is alive in that fight) - two people from children of the spring along with the fatui this one has a consequence in my play, the woman wants to deliver medicine for the people of the spring I think I agree with her because the fatui will also be with her... but when the abyss has started firing those unbreakable gates , after some quest I have the chance to go to the border of children of spring there I found the woman along with the medicine crate & some warriors of the spring lying near those gates. I focused on those with (!) sign I want to help mavuika along with the children of echoes cave & the captain when he's still around Natlan border, not sure if you can help those parts. I also forgot to change team & use char. with nightsoul skill on it w/c probably hinders me the most because most of my enemy is in near the change team post w/c prompts me to battle the moment I entered.
I don't understand it, I got to everything on time, I killed all the enemies in less than 5 seconds because I was already prepared, my main objective was to save a green doctor and that mother with her daughter, I investigated each corpse and they didn't come out , the game didn't let me choose which area to go to, it directly gave me a mandatory direction, I looked on the map and it only let me see the description of each area, it didn't let me transport myself, they didn't appear as invaded, they just didn't need help, they just He let me go up to the right in the Xilonen area, I saved the saurians, I cleared the area where the hostages were hidden, I saw how other saurians that I had supposedly already saved died. But at no time did I see the mother and her daughter no matter how much I searched even with basic vision, I didn't come across the doctor either and all because the game didn't let me choose!?
Ohhhhh, see I picked the options that you did too, and I was so confused about people talking about a mother and daughter because I didn't find them in time... I chose my options after reading all the map updates (and I read ALL of them, everytime I completed something I went back and clicked everything, even the things I knew wouldn't change) and also I didn't know until I think my 3rd or so mission that I couldn't go back and help all the areas, I wish I visited children of echoes but because kachina was there I put it off and the mission went away.
I am feeling more terrible for the mother and the little girl. 😢😢😢 She could have been able to turn into wife material after growing up but I guess she's dead 😢
glad i saved more people. the mother and daughter is the best one. i think most players are missing out where the mother and daugjter was saved by Hydro Fatui. she said something about fatui saved them and sacrificed himself to protect them. they even said like their image about fatui was wrong and started to think that fatui are good people. they prayed on his dead body.

They showed us dead hilichurls before, and some dead bodies/deaths in Fontaine.
The first dead character we saw was in the We Will be Reunited quest. The Treasure Hoarder who's body was set up in a prayer pose by the Abyss Order in front of Venti's upside down Statue.

omg....
The grim reality of war, you can't save everyone......
Yeah...
I had more 2.1k deaths😭
i was prioritizing to get rid of the pylons first. I mean, we are traveler, the strongest warrior at the Natlan rn. The only makes sense to us is to go on the frontline attacking the core of the problem while the those below us and civilians were on their own survival mode and i got 1.9k death toll.
no way i got over 7k 😭
Dude i lost 4.5k i'm cooked
Whenever I did this quest, I tried to consider the consequences of each action. Usually, I’d try to save the people, so I did that first. Ended up saving someone who was looking for the doctor lady (I think she was his mom but I don’t remember). The next place caused me to run into the doctor. Those events caused the two to reunite in the end (they are both talking next to Mavuika after the quest)
I also prioritized the Children of Echoes which led a large number of survivors since I went back twice to fight.
Curious. How many people died on your end?
@@silverhawkscape2677 I know the mother and child as well as the scion messenger you can save died. I’m sure there were more though. I think my counter said a high of 10k deaths if I remember correctly

When i did the quest I didn't really think much if it but when i watched streamers and how most of them had different outcomes shocked me
When the game mentioned dynamic progression, I thought it's just that I could miss some events.

You know what is funny, when people saw the first Natlan trailers and they complained about it?
They asked literally: wHErE iS tHE WAr???
NO! So the story had fking PLOT ARMOR on top of that to "work."

If we weren’t forced to the slow ahh balloon ride we’d be faster
You ppl want good storytelling then complain it’s slow smh
The problem is that even if you don't use the balloon, they don't allow you to go on foot. It would have been good if it was YOUR CHOICE if you want to go on foot or prioritize the mission. I would have used a super fast and destructive team, probably saving the greatest number of people. not 100% but 80%, however by not allowing walking they restrict the objective of the mission which is to fight as much as you can 😷
@@jerson.romantico.1521 then people will complain how tedious it will be. Imagine if they locked the portals and the mission is in the children of echoes and you're in the children of the springs? The 1 comparison I found out after watching someone else complete their quest was the purple hair chubby girl from People of the Springs, in my playthrough I encountered her delivering potions to her tribe, but succumbed later on (you can save her by telling her to not go deliver the potions instead) and Tepoz's mom, which I saved during my playthrough and she'll be reunited with her son, but if you ignore the Scions of the Canopy areas, she'll die and Tepoz will be sitting alone on the floor at the stadium bar.

Sh*t. Now I feel guilty for not being there in time...
Cmiiw, I try to summarize the choices after watching various playthroughs and read some comments.
Warning: it's hard to avoid SPOILER, read at your own risk
Things to note: it's impossible to save all no matter what you choose; and apparently there's a hidden timer, the longer you took to fight=more casualities (apparently it's possible for the casualty to reach 5 digits), opening map doesn't pause it
I suggest try to talk to every npc you meet and help them. You can check the buff and adjust your team.
The pins on the map change for every stops, giving you the newest intel from various places
About the stops...
1. The first one is the same for everyone
2. Scions of the canopy and saurians
If you go to canopy, you'll find a lot of people and you'll save a doctor.
3. Children of echoes and caravan+fatui
From the desc, children of echoes' case sounds more urgent. If you don't come here you'll see less people here later. There's additional task to clear out monsters and if you talk to npcs, some will give you items. If you go to fatui, you'll join them to save the caravan. But if you encourage them to deliver the supplies, you'll find their bodies later in the people of the springs
4. Key site defense
Near stadium, same for everyone
5. Survivor search and rescue, north and south
If you go to north first, you'll save mother and daughter. You find nobody if you don't come here first.
If you go to south first, you'll save 3 npcs and a baby saurian. Only the baby saurian survives if you don't come here first.
5.5. Stadium
Heal and adjust party here. The messenger you'll meet here will be different, depends on your 2nd route
6. Scions of the canopy
The result if you went here or not for 2nd choice. You'll meet more survivors if you came here for 2nd choice and vice versa
7. Survivor search and rescue, north and south
The result for your 5th choice
8. Children of echoes
If you came here for your 3rd choice, you'll meet more survivors
9. The people of the springs
Same for everyone. No survivor. Depends on your 3rd route and choice, you'll see familiar faces
10. Air balloon to near children of echoes
After taking balloon to near children of echoes, you'll fight some monsters. Here you can meet Toto (Kachina's big friend). Toto's survival depends on how fast you clear out monsters here. After fight, if you see an npc near Toto, you can talk to npc and Toto's alive. If there's no npc near Toto, you know...
11. Xilonen+Kachina, Chasca, stadium
Same for everyone, story. In stadium you'll meet various npcs, depends on your route
12. Last, CHEAT MODE
No more casualty. Just do your best :D
Don't forget to check map for voicelines
This must be spread futher.
I could relive my choices thanks to you. Sadly we can't save everyone
Also, TRY to do the optionals, if you can. And talk to NPCs. Also, if you can, bring a strong team so you can minimize the time it takes to finish each rescue segment.

Nahh inazuma is a lost cause but they can still makes an interlude for inazuma or in the endgame focus more on inazuma story
They can, if you can afford the game needing the memory requirement of a terabyte to shove in all of those possible plotlines 💀
Omg, I'm so so relieved that I chose the option that she doesn't die, I didnt knew that she could die with that sentence
The hardest choice require the strongest will
Now I'm more concerned about what is going to happen in future as story progress 😢
Im a dumbass who didnt think there would be a difference 😢 so many are dead 😭😭😭😭
@@fukyu268 Ah I see! I thought you would lose the baby Saurian which is terrible lol thanks for clearing that up!
I ended the quest with 4000 deaths, ish. Truly sad.
Mine was something around 1900
@@army3.049it's 1965 wasnt it cuz if it is then same with mine
@@GeminiX31I just took a fast look and didn't memorize it but I guess it's very close to this. There are people with more than 6k casualties. Crazy...
@@GeminiX31 the numbers vary heavily, mine was 2009
The hospital checkpoint where the survivors are is based on if you went there at the 1st branching path selection, not if you pick south 1st.
I'M GOING TO BACKHAND THE ABYSS SO FRICKIN' HARD IN THE NEXT PART OF THE ARCHON QUEST
🤦♂I didn't realize the decisions mattered this time.
Hoyo ain't letting this slide, deaths are everywhere no matter the choice 😢
I needed this video. I wanted to know what would happen making other choices. It still hurts, but I get to see the different routes.
It's was heartbreaking knowing we couldn't save everyone also there's a lot npcs missing once you finish the quest 💔
I was so focused to finish the archon quest and see the cutscenes. I didn’t even noticed that we can safe so many people 😢
I couldn't save a child. Now I'm sad
Esta misión nos cayó a todos los que nos tomamos a broma lo de "nacion de la guerra"
De verdad pego fuerte ver todo eso
*"It will end... Soon, but before that, a lot of people's gotta die"* - Don "Wardaddy" Collier
5.0 where's the war? Is this nation of war?
5.1 🥵
5.0- "NATION OF DANCE WOHOOO"
5.1- *Paimon mentally breaking down*
Did I...made the right choice to prioritize emergency situations on the battlefield?
This kinda reminds me of dbh where choices actually affect the story
If some people think war is a heroic things. I see war as event that waste many blood and tears
I don’t think you can save the mother and child without being too late for the saurians
i was able to save the Mother and the Daughter even after saving the Last guy fighting
I thought there is no survivor cause there was no marker or anything but if you try to hover around where the Cryo(Hydro) Fatui you'll see them there hiding.
Though iirc I failed to save the Saurians and a couple of people with them
I believe you can save 2 out of 3
That Vtuber only manage to save mother and daughter and fail the other. Is she too slow?
@@noeyutama Mrpokke also has a similar scenario.
But iirc impacting the morale of some people before the dark cloud also plays a role in it.
MrPokke kinda picked some wrong dialogues and even chose to help an outpost that is pretty defended
which is why the other weaker outpost or far away areas easily got taken over.
The lone soldier also is affected whether or not you help them initially before the storm clouds
so every action before the sky darkens also affects whether you can save 2 or just 1
Man, when I did this Archon quest, I really took the time to think of my decisions, because every decision I make would decide what happens.
I don't remember which order I chose but I could save everyone.
What an amazing and brutal quest it was.
bro im so glad i saved the mother and daughter.. i actually cries multiple times during this quest. 2000+ deaths were caused by this war. (i miss chuychu. she was amazing o7)
This is why Natlan is called Nation of war
My thought process was, which is more in dire need...most distance from any ally in the battle report. Glad i chose the Fatui ones and saved the mother and daughter.
1:57 I let a mother and her child die? DAMN IT!
The one chasca’s sister man that hurt
I think the 2 location choices are the mom+kid vs baby yumkasaurus, because the other place with green cowboy hat n civilians coming out of house all still survive even though I went to the mom+kid place first.
I failed to Save a Mother and her Daughter 😭
I couldnt save the mother and daughter 😢
i forgot about that one guys mother whos a doctor 😭
i have choices i regret making going into this blind but im rlly glad i made the right decision for #5 and was fast enough for toto despite the,,, uh,,, 7k casualties
I went north first and weirdly enough, besides saving the mother and daughter, when I got to the south camp Achiyaku was still fighting.
At 1:23 The person on the top left is the mother as I looked through over gameplays on whom they prioritized saving the north mission the person isnt there, aswell as when you choose to save/assist the Fatui near the Saurian imprisoned camp you get to save the potion lady on which she dies regardless as one of the bodies in the first time you discovered the advanced abyssal pylon thing(near Mualani’s tribe) shes there with a broken carriage
you can tell the potion lady to abandon her stupid idea of going to the spring and go to the stadium instead. and if you save the doctor, it was solve the problem that the doctor could not find medical supplies... does the better medical care actually do anything? i don't know, it could just be favor dialogue but it does seem that is what seem to be the option the game expect, together with saving the mother who will help the doctor too...
i choose same location as Naa but i completely miss the mom and daughter defended by the kindhearted fatui there... did i fail them.... damn it why didn't i pay attention to quest log that time
in my playthrough
Active mons = 2572 Dropped to = 2442 when after Mavuika use the divine throne powers
Total Deaths = 2115
Incident resolve= 17
save & assisted npc
-mother & child
-scion of canopy messenger along with the saurians
-the baby yumkasaur
-the guy talking about being afraid
-two scion of canopy people ( man w/ glass & old man)
- warriors along children of echoes stronghold
- warriors of children of echoes alongside with Toto (kachina giraffe saurian friend, thank goodness he is alive in that fight)
- two people from children of the spring along with the fatui this one has a consequence in my play, the woman wants to deliver medicine for the people of the spring I think I agree with her because the fatui will also be with her... but when the abyss has started firing those unbreakable gates , after some quest I have the chance to go to the border of children of spring there I found the woman along with the medicine crate & some warriors of the spring lying near those gates.
Fuck i didn't save the baby yumkasaur I'M A MONSTER😭😭😭😭
Si pusieron atencion al contador, murieron alrededor de 5000 npc... o al menos hasta donde se quedo la linea de comunicación
"You wish to save everyone? That's naivety. it's war, people die"
- Monkey D. Luffy
Im glad i saved more than the ones who died, i did as how you did it and saved lots of them
I SHOULD'V SAVED THE SAURIANS NOO I CRYIED
I am feeling more terrible for the mother and the little girl. 😢😢😢 She could have been able to turn into wife material after growing up but I guess she's dead 😢

After watching this video, I regret not searching all area I fight for survivors
For the first 2 locations, i have managed to trigger both and met the suvivors
