Can I just say. I've noticed Hoyo now makes event's with Ideas that get fleshed out in a major story. They talked about Fungi in this event and possessing elemental energy then we get Nahida Act 2. And it's such a cool way to ease ideas into the lore without jamming it down our throats like a "Somehow Palpatine Returned", situation.
This one is a great refresher for Haniyyah's personality. In the Lil' Fungi's Fun-tastic Fiesta event, Paimon was called racist because she said Haniyyah was suddenly well-spoken now meanwhile, I just remember Haniyyah being real blunt hence why Paimon even said it during that event lol maybe aside from the skin color not being from Fontaine comment hah
Ppl like to always point out racism for any negative comment. I remember ppl got so pissed at her hating Charcoal Cakes of Sumeru but the u have Neuv hate it but no one's says shit
"This is literally a Geodude" caught me off guard-- And Geo is also my fav' for that crash attack. Come on, it's just so satisfying to see the targets, especially the Mita' (sorry for the Hili' in general but still), get sent flying.
Bittersweet memories of this event, while i loved it, this was around the first time me trying to get a 4 star on a banner went so horribly wrong… it took me 115 pulls to just get Layla once. Just one. C0 Layla… I still use her today on a team and I love her design but I will always remember how bad her pulls went lmao
I failed to get Layla here as well, and think it didn't happen until the event that outright gave her. Was actually building her a bit yesterday since Natlan is coming, I'm kind of weak with Cryo and Geo in general, and after Dehya (I'm pretty sure she was designed in anticipation of problems the developers have been trying to put in the game for two years now, and sooner or later they'll succeed, and I'm trying to find some Pyro character Lavawalker gear works with) Cryo is my next priority simply because of how generally annoying doing the stuff built for it is using Hydro instead.
Starting to sound like my experience in Navia's rerun banner (yes I'm binge watching Arnold's older videos). I wanted Kaveh so bad since he's one of the only three 4* stars I don't have, but after a whole pity cycle, not once did I get him. I got C5 Kirara, literally C14 Ningguang (who was already C6), and a fucking Navia. It was a 50/50, and somehow, I always win 50/50s of characters I don't even want. On the bright side, Navia ended up being one of my strongest units among the sea of characters I have with mismatched artifacts (and I'm not even done building her)! TL;DR: Kaveh ran away from me by turning into the Pyro Archon. He replaced himself with Navia thinking Dendro (nature) and Geo (earth) are similar enough.
Hoping once the developers finish the main storyline NG+ and replay modes become their next priority. It's a massive job, and raises a lot of questions about how to re-implement things the playerbase really didn't like (and/or preserve the original for whoever did), but it seems more possible here than for most online games.
I realize that based on what followed they must have gotten horrible feedback about the game mechanics aspect of Fungi battling (and it's very possible that playing with mouse and keyboard means I have a different perspective on UI than a lot of players), but I loved this event. Also, if you play Lumine it does a lot to help set up what follows in Inazuma: Yae Miko brought her pet writer to channel her feelings of eroticized humiliation at being dominated by a foreign blonde woman into a light novel series about sports, the doujin market (which apparently exists in Inazuma) went exactly where you'd expect with it... and Ayaka is now interested in "hidden weapons". (I did this event equipping that yokai umbrella for spite points, which kind of adds a third brand of weirdness to that scene which also fits right in.)
Am I the only one who was surprised to see this in version 4.2? I rembember this as being a patch or two later. I think it's because the archon quest was so big it feels like that was the whole patch.
