We Finally Found the Previous Hydro Archon (Ep.265)
#GenshinImpact #Genshin #MurderofBirds Игры
I already thought "This quest gave so much lore and archons it cant get any better" until the Dainsleif reveal at the end. I took so much notes.
They painted the most badass picture of the cataclysm, and I'm so confident that we'll see it in all of its righteous, chaotic, and emotional glory in the future. Either in the game via Istaroth time travel, Loop of Fate trickery, tapping into the leylines, or seeing it in the anime. I. CAN. NOT. WAIT.
@@MurderofBirdsImpactim just genuinely curious and want to know, do you have any interest in playing WuWa
I literally cried for some minutes when maiden of sanctity came in.
I love that track so much. It may very well be my favorite OST in the game. I've had it as my teapot music since I finished this quest last year too lol.
I think a lot of fans love these World Quest, because asking for WQs to be voiced has been one of the most prominent requests from the community for the game since, like, Inazuma. And I believe many of those requests came from admiration for their quality, and not just "I can't read, please voice them."
Yeah, the world quests are so pretty and sad. If they were voiced it would bring another level of emotion to them for sure.
It's so sad that by the time this area came out, people were super tired of the desert, so they did not do this quest at all. I'm so glad I never got tired of the desert. Doing this at the start was amazing! Even if I got lost in all the new terms (I understand them all now that Fontaine is out)
Hearing about the one armed sage makes me want a badass 1 armed playable character Hoyo could make it so cool.
I actually did create one of my own!
Yes!!! Give us something different but cool in its execution! Give us a one armed badass!
Yooo hroptatir?
Ok that edit at 1:12:12 was so unnecessary yet it's goated. As if the lore content wasn't already enough, you just had to throw that tease in the end
Khvarena of Good and Evil and Aranyaka will always be my most favorite genshin WQ of all time. Sumeru really hits so different when it comes to lore related quests.
6:58 oh i just know the editor patted themselves in the back for this hilarious edit right here 10/10
def one of my fav quests and places in the game. the music, the cutscenes and lore were fantastic. i love reliving this.
I really enjoy Arnold's reaction to everything that pretty much blows his mind in this game. 😊
I'm sure we're going back into this place again cuz Zurvan mentioned a place where he first awaken and met Dain
Someone need to make art of Pari, Dainsleif, Khaenriah Army with their robots, and One-Armed Sage fighting the abyss. It would be very epic. I wiould maybe put commision if theres no one already did it. I need to see it so badly 😲
when the song at purified tunigi hollow kicked in, it immediately painted the image of star wars in my head, which make the few star wars references make sense, like one of sorush's achievements and the pari jarjar. i guess that explains some of the disney-esque songs in that area too
33:25 the place of kinda looks the “Nice to Meet You” in Fontaine but pink hahaha
I just wish Aether and paimon outright said it was Dainsleif\
Also that ring he was wearing might be ring of nibelung
Your videos are the first time I hear the music for most of the game. 95% of the time I have to play with sound off, and save voice acted content for the rare times I can have sound on.
54:11 - WHAT IF when the sustainer got her trapped in the cube she was then transported into khaenri'ah. That's why she became a descender, where in the previous dialogue mentioned that she was summoned by the heavens. WHAT IF when she was summoned and while she was at khaenri'ah the traveler was still sleeping and when she finished her journery that is the time the traveler woke up. Really love watching these videos, since we can cook up any theories,. LOL
I think some people underestimate just how much immersion comes from voice acting to most people (me, a person who prefers archon quests, included).
IMHO voiced quests are 10x more immersive thanks to how good the VA work is, making it a lot easier to properly digest a characters personality.
Also, voiced quests feature the playable cast which already give me more incentive to be invested in their story.
I do think world quests have stories RIVALING the voiced quests (some are better some aren't) but my main talking point is mostly to discuss how voiced quests get an inherent "Immersion Bonus" / "Memorability Bonus".
I really really want a past event to see Egeria atleast once would be dope. Mr Strimmer/Ghostwriter make it happen plz :) Cheers Arnold
23:40 i love it when games do this. changing scenery is cool, but when you add new music on top of that, it really emphasizes the fact that you actually did something. the music really drives home the point that instead of just "you did the quest and the area looks different", it's "you cleansed the world of filth and now the world has healed!" the music makes you feel the effects of your actions. there have been times where i feel empty towards a game because the gameplay just feels like "you did the quest" and then that's it, or there's barely any music which makes the world feel kinda dead and empty which in turn makes me feel empty towards the game and then I just end up quitting said game.
I honestly ADORED Sumeru and its desert so much! People said they hated it but man what an adventure. I had everything finished (I thought) and my friend reminded me of this mini side quest I thought I had finished but didn’t, the one with the lost traveler? I forgot his name but you find him towards the coast and he has a dog. He comes to see the Oasis, and takes in the beauty of the landscape and I took soooo many screenshots. It was so wholesome.
man I forgot about the dimensional transport during the lotus fight. This and now Remuria world quest as the final world expansion quest of their region, really blew it out of the park.
by the way... the sea of flowers the pari love to talk about, it's not the same as *spoilers for bedtime story just in case*
the sibling's sea of flowers at the end right?
Thank you sooo much Arnold for these vids! I was specifically waiting for this WQ to be posted on your YT cuz during the time it came out, I really didn't have the time for genshin cuz I was really busy with my internship but at the same time I didn't want to miss the rewards for the event of this WQ so for the first time ever, I skipped dialogues. I never understood the story but I kept telling myself, "its okay, Arnold's gonna play it so I will understand it by then"😂😂
My pleasure! Glad I could help make the content more enjoyable and clear for you! :)
Man, I appreciate this quest more after watching this and with the info we have now with the Narzissenkreuz quest and Loom of Fate quest with Caribert. I missed a lot of things when I first did it. Thanks, Arnold, for allowing us to re-experience this beautiful quest again. And I'm also glad to hear Sumeru's music again. It's one of the most beautiful tracks in the game.
Goated quest goated streamer goated editing. Makes us even more hyped to relive all of Fontaine
I never was a particular fan of "maiden of sanctity", but watching/listening this after what happened to me yesterday, a celestial nail got shot through my heart and I became the third coming of the hydro archon
27:00 I wonder if that's Pierro. In the Arlecchino trailer, he has only 1 hand out too.
Aside from that, great reactions arnold, it's always nice to see the sort of reactions I had towards some of the world quests!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING
Khvarena of Good and Evil is now completed!
Best 👏sumeru 👏quest👏. Also if you pay attention ypu can hear three goddess singing...
"Can't wait for Fontaine"
*war flashbacks*
I always thought of the timeline as Lumine was helping the Aranara the same time Dain was staying with the Pari, that's why they weren't seen together in either points. Could be wrong tho.
this quest was so damn peak and just overall area. probably my favourite WQ
I can't believe one of the best quests in the game started because one old man would rather study light novels than deal with wannabe bad guys, what a Chad.
The war of kondri'ah seems to be an epic tale. Hopefully we were able to see those events
still waiting for your 1st time set foot on Fontaine
There's still content scheduled to be released before we get to Fontaine. I appreciate your interest, but with was video only posted 3 minutes ago, so commenting like this can come off as dismissive despite the effort it's taking for these videos to come out as they've been. We'll get to ALL content in due time and with a little patience.
hi hi!! you can check out his twitch vods ^-^
@@MurderofBirdsImpact i'm sorry if my comment come off in wrong way ....im your fan's..trully
once again ..i'm so sorry 🙏🙏
@@crzgrce thank you so much for the info 🤗
Lol Arnold's face at 25:45. 😂
When Maiden of Sanctity comes in🥺 That is Egeria's voice idc
46:51 "I feel like the world quest in Fontaine is going to be even better than this one somehow"
Fast forward a few months to 4.3: "He never did change his name back to Rene, did he? ... What a great character... What a great character he was..."
"Ahh...elynas"
"cant wait for fontaine"" OH BOY
"Aether is braindead. " I laughed. True bcs, when they seem to know something, Aether didn't ask anything!😅
1:03:46 the finger at nasejuna took me out 🤣
I like how you enjoy everything and eveybit of game I don't have time doing dailies and quest so doing you do it kinda fun too
Had the same reaction when hearing the music
I felt like I transcended dimensions😊
ahhh another video with so much lore nom nom. btw, when will you post another hsr content in yt? can't wait for another time capsule 😊
I got chills again when the Tunigi Hollow got clean and green xD
Elder Zurvan, Sorush, Mihir and Rashnu ✍🏼
I can't believe we're actually going into Fontaine content now. Not for me rn cuz Veluriyam Mirage first and I'M EXCITED FOR THAT TOO OFC- We got Kaveh and Layla crumbs 😢
I thought the music around here just reminded me of Eternal Oasis OST but I guess it was mixed 🤔 This quest did give everything it needed and it wasn't as painfully long as the Aranyaka quest xD Now I wonder what's your current favorite world quest. I can't rank them at all 🥲
Crazy that we'll start getting Fontaine content relatively soon here! Gonna be so good. One question though: even though it's spread out over 3 different versions, will the Narzissenkreuz quests be uploaded together, or just chronologically through 4.0-4.2?
Because NZKZ is a multi-chained questline, spanning multiple patches, it will be uploaded chronologically during the Versions that they were released. So for clarity, Aqueous Tidemarks (Virgil NPC), Ancient Colors (Mamere & Elynas NPCs), The Narzissenkreuz Adventure, and the Book of Esoteric Revelations world quests will be posted during Version 4.0 content. During Version 4.1 content, Unfinished Comedy will be posted. And during Version 4.2, the conclusive content such as Search in the Algae Sea and Pursuit/Happy Birthday will be posted.
@@MurderofBirdsImpact ok, thanks for the info! Yea, my main gripe with NZKZ was the fact it was so spread out, so I could only remember the main details. So I am really looking forward to it!
This is still my favorite area in the game. And maybe always will be ;)
I'm mostly excited about nathlan, not about sneshnaya, kaenri'ah, I'm looking forward for 5.0 !!! And this 3.6 desert is located in the borders of Fontaine, sumeru, nathlan and maybe even part of sneshnaya, wich makes this area even better. And this tree you can see from every mountain, it's not just huge, it's the hugest object in teywat, wich is not a mountain, and the mountain behind the tree is also extremely huge!
Also, I wonder when we'll finally get mondstadt port and mt. Esus (the biggest one in Fontaine) 😅
Nice ending!)
One word: GOATED.
23:22 damn rare L editor moment right there, i really wanted a before and after comparison too.
0:15 2 years 71 days to go from now
25 days we are so close to Natlan
And now we tcg boyz
I want Dain and Zurvan backstory since YESTERDAY! HOYO please please please PLEASE make it happen 🙏
World quests does change the appearance of the map, Archon quest don't.
I still wonder whose ring does Dain hold onto? His supposed wife or something? Because in the Teyvat chapter trailer, he said something about "She too loves these flowers" so I assumed it was someone precious to Dain like a lover. I really hope the Dain x Lumine ship isn't because it's a bit weird since the two flowers on Lumine head are those flower in the beginning of the trailer.
46:05 Finally, someone I found to have the same enjoyment from the world quests as I do. I think the reason why I don't like the Archon Quests as much is because I don't really feel attach those characters and most of them are 5 stars as well that appeared on the Archon Quest and it's a good tactic for some people to pull after they finished the main stories. While a lot of the 4 stars got left out on the archon quest and you can only get to know them well unless you do limited event story or you could go read their character stories/listening to their voice lines/do their hangout(not all of them have one though). I sometimes felt that some 4 stars that hoyo released in past were just for the filler patch or they need to "at least have a new character in the new patch" and that's why I felt like those 4 stars playables didn't even got treated well as some of the npc in the world quests.
As for the reason why I love the world quests better is because I spent the entire quest staying by a few npc side from start to finish and get to know them very well and that's how I got attached to them (like going on an adventure with friends rather than solving someone's or a nation problems) and I learned a lot about Teyvat as a whole and the world quests explained a lot of thing in one quest rather than let you wait for another arc or in the future patch. While the archon quest made you wait for the answers later and when the newer patch arrive, I think I already forgotten like 40% of the info I learned in the past, especially if the continuation of the story in part 2 took like 1 year for hoyo to finally give us the answer. Also I forgot to mention that Archon Quests tend to drop important info without telling or explaining things prior. Take part 2 of fontaine archon quest for example, Neuvillette brought up the existence of Dragon Sovereigns and Phanes out of nowhere and I don't think the previous Archon Quests mention any of that before. Without your video that you read Before Son and Moon, Other lore channeling explaining, doing Enkanomiya World Quest or reading the book myself, I don't think I even know what Dragon Severiegns are or who Phanes is. For the casual players or majority of the players who didn't care too much about the World Quests and mostly only focus on the Archon Quests, they might felt overwhelm with this too much info out of nowhere without prior explanation or mention in past quests.
47:56 Sea of Flowers mentioned, let's go
"She too loves those flowers" 100% refers to Lumine, because there are scenes of the sea of Inteyvats (the flowers Lumine wears in her hair) in the trailer. In a sense, Lumine is precious to Dainsleif. They witnessed the destruction of Khaenri'ah and then were travelling together for some time until Lumine strayed, in a sense, towards the Abyss (the same thing that destroyed Khaenri'ah, so I totally understand Dainsleif parting ways with her because of that). Not necessarily precious like a lover, but as a companion and also probably a friend for sure.
The ring could possibly be the Ring of Nibelung. Other than that, we don't really have any leads to what it could be.

Is the one armed sage jester ?
58:43 That didn't age well...
20 sec ago , 79 views no comment and 11 like wheres the 68 ppl?? Imagine u watch Arnold doing the hardworking here and not dropping a like cant be me.
Why there are glitch in the end 😂 man... huge F for Furina, for everything that happens.
31:06 No you're Kazuha
Does pierro have 2 arms?
this was a cool quest until fontaine released then my mind chaneged again.
12:42 is it just me or are those not enka script letters... i thought the abyss order used enka script...
Did Arnold react to "Light in the abyss" yet?
btw now that we've had more mentions of "the sage" I saw somewhere that in winter night's lazzo there's a slight mistranslation when Pierro says "the sages think themselves to be all knowing" in the original the meaning is closer to "the sage" , singular. So its a high chance he was referring to that sinner sage, which might as well be the one armed sage talked about here
But this one-armed sage fought against the Cataclysm, whereas Dain said none of the Five Sinners fought against the Cataclysm
@@Alex_Deam yeaa you're right, then this one armed sage maybe someone else, but I'm pretty sure Pierro was referring to the sinner sage in the lazzo trailer
I still believe Sumeru is the best overall nation, in terms of how they used it in the plot and beyond.
They used the ENTIRETY of the nation.
I feel like some nations kinda fall off after their “main story”.
They either have post main story quests that are solid or they leave me wanting more beyond that.
For me, Mondstat is probs the “weakest” for me- but it’s also because they locked the lore away.
Otherwise, it’d probs be Inazuma as the weakest to me (most intriguing part for me in Inazuma was Enkanomiya).
41:04 Like I said in the Twitch chat, Maidens of Sanctity is the greatest bgm ever created. Like it's the perfect song to end our Sumeru journey. 🥹🥹
crying again🥹 everything in this region is amazing. Thank you for the amazing video Arnold
Glad you enjoyed it!
