I just wanted to point out that according to the info I found on Google, Harvey's suits were in season 1 made by Tom Ford. However, later on all of his suits are bespoke made by a Canadian tailor.
I will say Don. Although both men look sharp as a blade when coming to their respective businesses, when on their free time, I tend to notice that although Harvey is not badly dressed, he’s not anything special either. Just some casual clothes that sometimes do work, like the Henley’s, but there’s less care or he simply can’t pull them off. Don always looks good, casual or not. And I think Don goes further in the sense that he’s not from modern times, the fact that his suits and clothes still look dashing displaced 50 years is fantastic.
I like Harvey more because his suits are really good, and he doesn't fall in the American/British/Italian trio of suits. it's not a British suit like most people would think, but more of a French suit. (Which can also be noticed by the name of his tailor "Rene/é" in the series, which as a name comes mainly from France.) The French style gives more the image of a conqueror and strength than a classical English suit would, where the suits mustn't take the spotlight from the person wearing it. Btw, I thinks it's a shame that the French Style isn't mentionned more often, because it's also quite the interesting style. Would be interesting to see a video about the other suit styles beside the "American/British/Italian trio"...

@@richarddavies5711 I think whole picture, Spectre is definitely a better man that we could aspire to be, he can be cocky sometimes but still tolerable in the long run. Draper is literally something we dream to be. Smooth 10/10 all the time and knows what to say to anyone he meets. Don's the guy in the room that doesn't need to say a lot but exudes a level of charisma with his expressions. I think he says less but his words carry more weight.
This is probably me being biased with Draper but the reason he's a winner for me is that you see him along almost every season of Mad Men fall then get his stuff together again as opposed to the invincible Harvey Specter he seems to never have any problems dealing with setbacks it's just so unrealistic in my opinion.
Harvey is the guy people want to be. He’s regarded as the best lawyer in New York, everyone from assistants to CEOs of billion $ company’s know exactly who he is and just how good he is. Harvey has multiple beautiful woman who are in love with him even, has multiple flings with different beautiful woman. Harvey literally outsmarts people for a living and is usually the smartest person in any room, he’s the youngest ever senior partner, he’s loyal to everyone he cares about, he’s brave enough to break the law for Mike and even try and take Mikes place and go to prison instead of him. Harvey is a lot wealthier than Don, the man is multi millionaire who pays his own secretary’s wages without her knowing, lives in a million $ penthouse apartment in New York. Harvey is also a lot more complex of a character, he is the definition of confident, he dresses better and he’s also able to fight. Plus Don cheats on his wife with multiple woman, Harvey doesn’t even sleep with married woman due to his own moral compass
Don Draper wealth today would be about 80 to 100 million dollars. Don drove amazing cars such as Cadillac that were hand built like modern Rolls Royce cars. Even the Ford Dons family drove would be nicer than any modern car out there. You are comparing the moral character of the characters?
The only problem that I had in this battle was the watches. You chose quantity over quality. Draper wore a variety of nice watches, but Harvey wore what is considered one of the Holy Trinity of watches. Nothing Draper wore topped Harvey’s watch.

Draper's character is more a tragic figure, one that reinvented himself and runs a fine line between control and chaos. Harvey has always known who he is and what he wanted. Draper's look is the foundation upon which Specter is built. The peak lapels on Harvey's suit places him in that power position. The peak being slightly more formal and commanding over the notch lapel. For Draper to run with 2-piece single breasted suits is the 'new style' of the early 60s, the DB being very 50s and very much the American 'sack' suit style. The older gents preferring 3-pc or DB suits. I agree, I think Harvey Specter probably does inch ahead.

Don Draper just doesn't wear black and white, he wears brownish colors, and his ties have some industrious motives in them that nowadays are not seen again. And even if Don is socalled 'empty' innerly, Don has just as witty comments that are more humane and not so robot like as Harvey 's. Don is the winner here, and even when he loses he wouldn't care at all: "Accounts come in accounts go out". And Don acknowledges he doesn't know it all while that Harvey guy thinks he's the god Apollo himself. In a mad men episode some guy at the bar was reading a poems book and told Don the book was not for him, and later on Don was reading that same book, so Don is keen to keep learning all his life while that Harvey guy thinks he knows it all already. I not only hit rock bottom; I always tell people I hit ocean bottom. I have been fired 4 times the last one was devastating because, I reach my peak in my career and was promoted to a Controller, the 6,000 ft home I build from scratch, I had to sell at a loss because it took me six months to find a job so I had depleted all my savings and borrow from family members. Prior to that the business I built a grocery store and restaurant, I sold to a friend he screwed me on the deal and had to claim bankruptcy. With much happing in my life I decided to go back to school at 52 you and get my master’s degree in Accounting. It took me about 5 years to get my financial back in line, I make more money now than I did before. I am more financially stable and during all these crises continued to put money into my 401K. My 401k is pretty stable and last year was able to give my only daughter her dream wedding with over 170 people to include venue, cater, DJ and all the liquor you can drink. All the guests that attended said this was the best wedding they have ever attended. I have 10 more years before I retire, I have been there, done that and plan to play it safe my goal is to move from Colorado to Florida and enjoy the nice warm weather. I always tell people who struggle there is only one place to go and that is up. Good Luck and God Bless
Why retire at 62 why not 72. My grandfather worked on his farm until he was in his 90s. People who work longer tend to live longer. Why not work 10 to 20 hours per week and enjoy the rest of your time when you get older. When your youth is gone it does not come back. running your own businesses are probably the best thing you can do in life. Anybody who is skilled and good at working should be running their own businesses. When you work for others you make them money. I have seen people dedicate their life to businesses building them up but it was not their business and then they realized that they did not reap the rewards of effort.

That's nice.
Love these videos, great job👌
Thanks! Which style battle is your favorite?
@@RealMenRealStyle this one, don and harvey are both very stylish but in general I like all your videos that bring style and movies or TV shows together👍👍

precisely me
also me, a Harvey fan
While I don't fully like Harvey's style, I know I'd probably attempt to look like him if I worked at his lawfirm
Don Drapers style would be perfect if it was modernized. Wider tie and tapered suit trousers.
Modern styles are horrible and bland. In the modern world we do not have style movements attached to culture. What we have is thirty something men running around with beards, tattoos, shorts, sandals and giving of the air of being a bum.
bighand69 that’s because you’re being shown that by social media. I live in the Corporate part of Houston and we dress like Don Draper but the modern version. No break, more tailored fit and some with facial hair.
Now when it comes to writing, Mad men take the cake lol. Suits is a bit corny for my taste but a good show.
Harveys suits projects power. Don is more of a traditional sense of fashion. I'd take Harveys wardrobe any day.
