I do not know much about that card probably because it is not even an option (are you writing about Capital One Savor One Cash Rewards Credit Card?) but I would start ranking them. The reason you probably started on Discover is because of the cash back match after a year and because it gives you 1% cash back on everything and 2% on dining and gas. @@AskSebby Yeah it's really good for that. My first card was the discover it secured card that get's 2% on gas and restaurants and 1% on everything else. Not necessarily, mines showed up a week later on my credit report. So it all depends when you get an update. Or you could chance it and apply the day after if you're ok with taking another inquiry
Yep! Some are "redeem against charges" but that's still effectively the same. i.e., $20 to bank vs. $20 dinner charge that I immediately redeem against.
They probably will do the product change because it's not really an upgrade. You'll be upgrading to 5% in one category but downgrading to 1% on everything else.
@@JACarlington I should do this. I'm thinking... The benefit of 2 cents per point on Flex is good enough to replace DC and with rising gas prices the CC would be more beneficial

This might be a dumb question. What's YOLO ? ?
You only live once, you must was locked up
I’m probably going to just get this card for gas only. The Sapphire preffered doesn’t consider gas as travel so would this be a good idea?
Buy a tesla never pay gas again
@@leemcmullan I’m not buying a $50k car. Definitely not realistic for most people. I have to have a truck for the work I do anyways
Also the discover rotating card is good to.
Yes but discover doesn’t allow people to compare their cards to other card issuer’s cards in videos anymore
@@patrickdunn7804 What? Why did that happen? How did that happen? I mean if I revired credit cards and could compare them I would say the Flex is great as well however the Discover one is better for at least the way I spend money most of the time anyway.
Discover is interesting in Year 1 but in the same boat as the Flex in Year 2 w/ less optionality. I like how Discover approvals are easier though!
@@AskSebby Yeah it's really good for that. My first card was the discover it secured card that get's 2% on gas and restaurants and 1% on everything else. So after I got my bank of America card and my fideildy card later on that get's 2% on everything I called Discover and turned my discover card into the 5% rotating card. So I don't get that first year bonus but I would have a use for the card this way though. It's nice that Discover is easier to get. I want to get that new 5% citi card next I do spend a lot on gas sense I drive for Jimmy John's.
Citi cash back is better then chase
No Chapters today :(
Just fixed it! I had a description, but must be a YT glitch that deletes it.
So what if your credit not so great?

Question: I’m in Year 2 of CSP, if I were to downgrade to Freedom Flex, can I then upgrade back to CSP at year 3 or 4?
Yes but no bonus for upgrading (unless Chase decides to change their strategy in 2-3 years).
Sebby i get out of 5/24 on 07/17/21 when would you recommend me to apply for a Chase card 07/18/21 or later?
I usually wait till it shows up on the credit report that the first card's inquiry has dropped and it puts you in 4/24 then apply for the next chase card
@@cardojp in other words you wait 25 months
Not necessarily, mines showed up a week later on my credit report. So it all depends when you get an update. Or you could chance it and apply the day after if you're ok with taking another inquiry
I would wait 1-3 business days. July 17 (Sat) so maybe July 20 (Tues)?
The 3% dining is ridiculous. Skip one meal and you "earned" so much cash back lol
My top category is dining & gas
The savor one also gives 3% on groceries, so they've got you covered either way
Big brain.
I can’t get citi card to save my life
Is he wearing a backpack ??
Yes :)
Bonus of Apple Cash: you can transfer it to your bank accounts as actual cash. Hit or miss everywhere else
Yep! Some are "redeem against charges" but that's still effectively the same. i.e., $20 to bank vs. $20 dinner charge that I immediately redeem against.
Question, I have the Citi Bank Double Cash, and I wanted to upgrade to Citi Custom Cash, is that possible?
They probably will do the product change because it's not really an upgrade. You'll be upgrading to 5% in one category but downgrading to 1% on everything else.
@@JACarlington I should do this. I'm thinking... The benefit of 2 cents per point on Flex is good enough to replace DC and with rising gas prices the CC would be more beneficial
Waiting for data points on this. Let us know how it goes!
@@PeteK-01 Lol I just have both of them
@@xKaddyx_ I've got 8 new cards in the last year. They won't give me another one from Citi

I don't think financial education is necessary. That's because I think we all benefit from financial non-education. After all, someone has to pay for all of this..... not me 😄
The people doing the homework are getting rewarded :)
Is this a joke
Your "beginner" card videos never take into account that a "beginner" isn't going to have the credit score to get approved for cards like this.
The video would be 1 minute long. The channel is about maximizing rewards and the only beginner card I can think of that has rewards is the Discover It Secured.
@@JACarlington Yeah, but it's not a beginner card then is it? You have to have a 700+ credit score for most of these cards, which a beginner isn't going to have. You can call them "basic" cards but not beginner.
I think he means beginning in the sense that a person is new to credit card optimization or rewards
I can do a 2021 update on secured and student cards if helpful :) ruclips.net/video/5WWp-r4eEEo/видео.html
@@AskSebby Lol personally I'm good on that; I'm just saying hypothetically if someone was a beginner and stumbled on this video these cards wouldn't be available to them.
any recommendations here please i want to upgrade to custom citi bank
