I work at Home Depot and was surprised to see your name on one of the Add posters. Love your channel. I have been watching you for a few years now. Really advanced since the beginning.
You should be very proud of the progress that you have made! I have followed you for a short time and I am so impressed with how your skills have grown. Keep up the great work and I look forward to the completed project.
A project like this April is indeed an awesome achievement.
At 53yrs of age you are inspiring me April😊
37yrs of working life and still reaching for my Goal of my own Work Shop. Might kill me being disabled phisicaly but the hunger is still alive and strong thank you April.
Sincerly Steve.
Happy and tired. That is the best state of being. You have a humble and appreciative attitude during the day and sleep well at night. Totally jealous, loving the shop and how its coming together!
Tracking the progress from Ireland. Amazing build. Be proud.
It is not hard to see that your joy for your new shop is genuine. You don't go through that much hard work with that kind of a smile if you don't truly love what you're doing.
I'm so envious of your work ethic. Smiling through the tiredness and keeping your enthusiasm is to be admired. Great Texan accent too.
I love watching your progress, you look like a child at Christmas when you are sitting narrating what you have done and will do, it really is good to see someone enjoy what they are doing.
You just amaze me!!!! You have come such a long way in a short time. I remember the fruit and veggie bin for your counter top and now you are building huge buildings. Great job!! Keep it up and be proud of all you have accomplished!!!!
April : The shop looks awesome. I built a shop three years ago and yes the dreaded window ordering process will slow things down. Your videos on this build are a inspiration ! Regards Jim
Hey April, long time viewer and follower and I have to say I am so jealous of this behemoth of a shop. I am so terribly happy for you and the dream shop you are building and the glow in your eyes shines through regardless of the exhaustion written all over the rest of your face. You are an inspiration and I will eagerly await your next videos! Keep up the amazing work girl!
This is the coolest series I’ve ever watched. I’m so impressed and inspired at your handy work and have been binge watching lots of your other videos. My sister does small scale projects like building a crate for her new puppy or a table for the back patio and that impresses the heck outta me...so to watch you build an entire building is....WOW! I can’t wait to see the next steps and the completed project plus all the amazing work you’ll get to do once it’s all done! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾❤️
April, fantastic build. You are just bubbling over with so much joy and happiness. Shop looks really nice. Can’t wait to see the rest. You go girl
This is an exciting project! What I love about your videos, April is that you are not afraid to present the fact that you're learning. So many people present themselves as"experts". Glad I'm not the only one still learning. :) Congratulations on your massive progress.
Absolutely fantastic!!!! I absolutely remember being worn out with my old shop build, but with every nail driven, you are one small step closer to done and one more smile ahead. Try to set a day aside every now and then for a family day. You sure don't want to work yourself so hard you end up sick. None of us want that..... That said, please add another look around on the inside. I forget what it is like to have blank walls and lots of free space. ;)
Proud to follow a fellow Texan... Watching what makes America grow up again
The wainscoting will really look great with the rest of the siding. I think you'll have to do some SERIOUS tool shopping to fill your new shop! Nice job April, looking forward to the next vid!
I love that feeling of getting close to the end of a project... and then realizing you have so much more to do! Looks great!
I see you understand that you also need to enjoy the whole process itself. A lot of people want to rush threw the process and then when it's all complete find themselves saying AHHH I should have done this or I should have done that. GOOD FOR YOU, YOU REALLY DO LOOK AS IF YOUR ENJOYING YOURSELF HARD WORK AND ALL !!!!!!!!!!!
April I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago. I am very impressed with how organized you are and very talented. For someone who had no knowledge of how to use tools you have come a long way. I have watched every video and can't wait to see what's next. Yes, I subscribed right away after watching the first video.
Great job woman, having built our home ourselves I know all the hard work involved, but its so worth it. Love the Instagram stories too. Take all the help you can get......
Hi April!
I'm italian and for me it's amazing to see how different are the building techniques there in America and here in Europe (or in Italy at least). Here is everything more bricks and concrete style.
Anyway .... Great job!
Keep it up!
I dont know how I havent discovered you earlier. I've been following RR Buildings and I Like To Make Stuff for a while now. Both of them are huge influences to my creative process and carpentry. Now you are on that list!
You have come a long way since your lean to shed build for your old shop. Kudos.
That window flashing tape is great...it wasn't around back when I framed houses back in the 70's & 80's...what a great experience, you should be very proud of yourself....we used T-1-11 back in the day as it's said.
April, I found your RUclips not long ago and I really enjoy all your projects. Your shop is going to be AWESOME!!!
Take care and thank you for sharing.
Greatest DIY project, a giant workshop of your own. can't imagine how enjoyable to build it. Congratulations April.
Dreams comes true! Congrats April! More power to you..
April, Love your video. It shows us just how busy you,ve been. Shop (shed) looks great! You guys look like sooo happy. Watching from WA state...perfesser Gary.
Excellent video April. I love your talk over explaining everything you are doing. You are going to have a wonderful shop when you are finished. I looked at a few of your early videos when you had 9very few tools and a small workshop... My My My, Time flies when you are having fun. Get some rest and finish strong!
Shop is getting ship shape. Between that and all the traveling for shows and expos, you’re wearing yourself out.
Judging by the weary smile, I’m guessing you’re right where you want to be. Congratulations and continued success and prosperity!
Great build, for a deserving craftsman.
I'm glad you and your friends and family are building this with you. I believe you will truly appreciate your space more. Especially when you have worked a long day. And your sitting on that full length covered porch watching the sun set. Alot of hard work but alot of fine memories. Great job April.
greg
Nice comment Greg🙂
Deserving craftsman?
April that smile you project in you videos showed how much you enjoy what you do keep it up
April, It's no secret you got some serious skill. Here I am debating how to plan my shed build (16x20) to be used as my motorcycle work shop, which is a only a fraction of your shop. As many others have mentioned, Your smile says it all... Cheers, Bert from Maine. BTW we are getting 14 - 20 inches of snow today!
April, my wife and I used the concrete board as siding on our house (which we installed ourselves...YAY). I empathize with your cutting experience. Buying a special blade for $49 was annoying, as was the dust, but like you said, it should last decades. Great job on the shop!
Love the design with the wainscot look to the siding. I can't wait to see the finished product, the shop is looking fab. Go, April!
Shop looks amazing April. Congrats & keep up the great work. Can't wait to see you building some shop projects & get all settled in.
This build is going to be amazing when finished....
Fantastic progress. You look tuckered and happy! Windows and doors make it a building, and not a shell. So happy for you!
Incredible how far you've come in skills and confidence in such a short amount of time. Great teaching tool all around.
Hello, I congratulate you for your excellent work !!!!!
It is a beautiful barn, it is everyone's dream to have a place like this
and with that landscape in the surroundings.
I send you a big hug from Argentina. Thanks for sharing your videos and work !!!!!
April, you are very inspiring. I believe I’ve watch almost all of your videos, as I am just getting into wood working. I’m trying to learn as much as possible, and I must say I’ve learned a lot from your channel. Keep up the good work! Your doing great! Oh and I know it goes without saying, your new shop is absolutely awesome!!
George seems like the coolest guy ever. What an asset to have in such a huge project too.
Coming along nicely. Windows or wall? Always a hard choice. Although I occasionally wish for more wall space, I never wish for less light or a reduced view.
I absolute love this shop, it's beautiful seeing all the skilled work you are putting into it. You are inspiring me to make videos when i start my build on a small shop built into a shipping container. I have some amazing, cost saving ideas, using materials i already have, and can recycle.
On the one hand, I can't wait to see the finished workshop, on the other hand, I don't want the videos to end. You seem so happy to be doing this, keep up the awesome work and thanks for posting these videos.
You go girl! I am so jealous of the space you have. And above all, you look like you are having fun... very important as you will find when you reach my age that life is way too short and saving every thing for “later” just doesn’t work. Again, congratulations on your progress.
You are DOING AWESOME👍👋- getting closer and closer to having your finish workshop!🌟
What an exhilarating feeling for you - even when you feel exhausted😰.
Love your videos! Would love to see a video collaboration between you and Ana white. 😀 can't wait to see the finish project.
Greetings from Chemainus, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada! Fantastic project April! We are building a (waaay smaller 30'x30') shop currently and you are giving me some great advice! Such an inspiration you are! L
For someone who is tuckered out you look really happy. I'm jealous my workshop when I eventually build it looks like being a big drop-down one hidden in a wall-cabinet. Still have to get into our new/old house and rebuild the kitchen to keep the boss happy.
April, you rock!
It is a blast to see you building your workshop. I can't wait to see the inside.
Regards, Etna.
Love seeing a quality person get ahead in life. Look how far you have come. Congrats to you and the Husband !
you seem tired but happy, you do show the pride and the acomplishment from all your hard work, it has been great to see the progress and i can only say my deppest respects for tackleing this size project, i do love all your videos but this by far has been the most inspiring so far, keep up the exellent work and congratulations on a job far more than well done.... you are an inspiration to all of us. thank you.
WOWEEE! My shop-envy is only surpassed by how impressed I am by your tenacity. You are one tough chick!
Congratulations April I still remembered when you start !!!!
That's quite a huge shop I know you will enjoy. I just built a 24' X 24' garage in my back yard and I thought that was big. Really enjoy your videos, keep'em coming.
The shop is looking sooooo good, April!! You're on the down hill side of construction. Keep it going!
You do look "tuckered" :) Been a while since I heard that! Great job and wishing I could find a shop like that.
This is a shop that dreams are made of... You have so much space , which is a premium... I can't wait to see the finished product... And believe me I'm taking all your advice and using some of you tricks... Thank you...
Great going April...I feel your shoulder pain!! LOL I spent 3 days cutting stone with a consaw...And I drive a desk for a living...BroooooKEN!
So glad you are learning all the ins and outs, do's and don'ts. That will come in so handy when you come build my shop.
You're doing brilliantly. So glad to see you finally getting a workshop at your new home. Cannot wait to see the end result, and I'm even more excited to see what you end up doing inside. Keep the videos coming!
watched 1 to now. noticed alot of kyle's type of work, then you mentioned him and had a smile on my face.that guy sure knows what he's doing
Great videos so far! We have the plans back for our shop we are getting ready to kick off. We are going to do corrugated metal for the wainscoting at the bottom, and then the board and bat siding on top. I love the two tone look as well.
Looks great! Bottom wainscoting will look amazing. Kyle's buildings are things of beauty.
I wished, I would also have so much place for a workshop. Thus only the joy remains to me to be allowed to participate in your project. Many thanks April!
Clearly your smile does say it all. Looking good, the shop to! This should be a magnificent shop. I only wish you would have put in a small lavatory/ first aid room, but I m sure you considered the walk back to the house.
Man that Wainscoting is handsome! I guess folks wondering about more windows forget about those bay doors and awesome porch. Looks like it will be an awesome view.
I’m excited for you and enjoying watching the progress. I’m struggling with my Mojo after a cold winter and i get inspired seeing your dream driven energy every week! I admire you April! You Rock! 😎👍
April, I have been watching your videos for some time now and enjoy and look forward to every one you post. It's awesome to see you be able to do something you love to do. I myself, love wood working and still learning new things about the craft every day. Your videos have always been very helpful and super informative. Keep up the awesome work and I look forward to future videos! :)
April, great work. Since you installed that treated wood that is on the softer side for its application use some porch, floor and deck enamel thinned for the first coat to help prevent wear.
Thanks for taking me along with you on your Journey.
seriously?!?! randomly stumbled upon your project and i watched every episode all the way til here. what are the chances i stumble upon a serious that is currently running? i was excited to see the finish shop. now i have to subscribe and wait. I'm exhausted just watching you. There are so many steps! great job, looks great so far. And! you did most of the work yourself. amazing!
Shop is looking great, and you look so happy. Once you get this all finished, load up your tools and crew and help me in build one in Virginia!
Can’t wait to see the completed workshop! Thanks for keeping us updated! Just went back 3 years to your console table video as the wife would like one of these. Thanks for making all the videos ☺️ just twigged that George is from WWGA!!! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Really enjoy your videos. You're knowledgeable and well-spoken. Your editing flows so well with the overall project explanation. Looking forward to watching upcoming projects in your new building.
It’s awesome seeing you progress. Your talent as a builder and content creator is breathtaking. I look forward to your weekly videos so much so that I’ve now recently joined Instagram to keep up to date with yourself and other content creators all of which like yourself will be at the makers show here in the UK. I admire you so much. Your hard work is truly paying off and your enthusiasm is inspiring. Go April👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
Boy you have come a long way since I first subscribed to your Channel a few years ago. You was in that small garage shop you had back then.
I am so happy for you now that you building a beautiful Workshop. Hard work pays off, doesn't it?
looking good !!! a couple things to note.(from my experiences)1) vinyl windows will sweat especially in colder northern climates. you'll probably ok there though. 2) it looks like those doors have aluminum thresholds. the board underneath will rot from moisture from condensation. you cant replace that with treated because it will react with the aluminum. best thing is that new pvc then spray foam the rest of the cavity. looks like a lot of painting to do. better get those arms ready
Fantastic work, April. It's inspiring to watch this great project. Thank you for taking the time to film and share your work. Keep it up!
Good for you April!
Your shop is bigger than my home lot. Awesome 👍
April you are a very inspiring young woman.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks for sharing
Awesome! I can hardly wait to see the light at the end of the tunnel... and the projects you are about to make there.
You are always so thoughtful with everything you do. It’s such a beautiful building.
Good Job April, That treated 2 x 6 in your doorways will make it easier to mount threshold and seal the weather out. I personally would have left a lip outside but I know it's all about preference.
Each morning when you are heading down to the workshop take a moment to look at it and think , I built that. Great job
Really proud of your flashing details! Especially for a first timer youre doing better than most other builders in South Texas! LOL
Nice little trick to make sure he door jam is flush.
Glad to see the windows finally arrived.
Can't wait for next week.
**virtual happy dance**
Looks great. I’m building myself a shop this size, just as soon as I hit the lottery. You’re lucky to be able to have all this space. Best wishes on all the projects to come out of it.
Great stuff April. I'm so jealous. My garage shop is so tiny and your shop is going to be amazing when built and filled. Can't wait!
Outstanding, April. I'm enjoying following your remarkable progress. More power to you!
You really inspire me April and got me into doing things around my place....thank you and all the very best from Australia 😃👍🇦🇺
That's looking so great! It took us 6 weeks to get our windows the first time, then 8 weeks the 2nd time. Plan ahead for sure!
Really starting to take shape now. Looks great .
Upstanding hard-working
This is my dream since I was 10 years old
and just looking at your videos I get more existing
Keep up the good work..
You really looks tired but so happy
Good luck...✌️
this is a huge building. Hopefully, it will provide many jobs and produce lots of products that society needs.
Looks Great April !!!! You deserve a dirt bike ride and go on a long one.
love the build and the look you're creating, and I am SUPER envious of all the space you'll have.....my wife says there's no enough room in the back yard for any thing that size.
I can imagine the happy dances all youns will be doing once this is finished! This is such an educational series. Thanks for documenting!
I know just what you mean about windows taking up wall space. I just last weekend strung up 2x2s across one of my windows in my shop and mounted wall control pegboard panels over what was about 5 feet of wasted space.
This turned out to be a great solution because I can use the wall space to hang tools, but still get a little extra natural light.
