Much lesser known than most of these titles, but Vagrant Story was a good one too. It was a PS1 game so unless you have a working PS1, 2 or 3 (or possibly an emulator) you won't be able to play it. If interested and have a system that can play it, it was released in 2000 so be ready for 2000 era graphics. Still, a good story line and a relatively short game game. Also, it was one of the earlier games that allowed you to repeat your play-though and keep you gear/power.
One area of gaming that has seen a significant improvement compared to older titles is animation quality. Movement, fluidity, variety of animations and their transitions between various states has become extremely impressive. It's one area where I would argue you simply don't have in older titles.
I've played Bulletstorm,Alien Isolation,Dragon Age Inquisition,Batman Arkham City,Amnesia and Skyrim. My least favourite of the ones I played was Bulletstorm, of the ones I've played I'm unsure which I enjoyed the most and I beat all the games I played.
Aside from the obvious "Mass Effect" trilogy, other games that would belong here: Vanquish Darksiders God Of War II/III Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time Just Cause 3 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Of course you mentioned Skyrim and Witcher as RPG milestones. But for the Gothic series by Piranha Bytes, started in 2001, you may be too young ... or it was not famous enough outside Germany and adjacent countries. But that shall change soon with the upcoming Remake by THQ Nordic. Best chance to get a glimpse of the original game to compare, I dare you.

There's a bunch on this list I need to get to still, but this is really solid man. Witcher 3 is incredible, the modding community has taken what was an already amazing game and has turned it into something that you can completely perfect to your own taste. It's all I play now. If you want to see what I mean, kindly check my latest :)
Alien Isolation is a game I LOVED but can't bring myself to play again (yet). It was that nerve wracking. BUT I disagree with DA Inquisition, Origins is infinitely better.
@@PlayHunters_ Better because it lets you find your own way without pointing the way. Morrowind is,in my opinion,the best most immursive game I've played. It doesnt have the newer graphics other games do but that's not the point. It has great quests,and you can keep playing forever with all the new and old mods at the Nexus. The different story lines are really indepth as well. There's a main questline and tons of side quests.
With the exception of The Witcher 3, all your other choices are so bad they are not even wrong. Dragon Age: Inquisition? But not Origins?! Fallout 4? But not 3? I hope you are younger than 15 because that would be your only excuse.
Inquisition shouldn't be here. Wooden game. Single player boring MMO. Origins was best one. Still graphics aged super badly. Mass Effect 2 though - this should be on list. AC: Black Flag... For rest I can agree. 😊 * I would also change Fallout 4 for New Vegas...

Dishonored 2 is the best stealth game ever. I'm so down for a 3rd part.

You missed Morrowind. It's actually a tougher game then Skyrim. There arent any arrows to guide you,and the combat system isnt easy to learn.
