    This was super useful, I was always afraid of trying out supplements because of the whole “fear of bulking up” which now I realise it’s super silly, I’ve started taking protein shakes and bcaas pills (will change for powder on my next batch) and it has been so helpful to my workouts, I now can do a full 110 minutes of work without feeling exhausted plus I enjoy it instead of feeling like I’m being forced to do it

    I like to take digestive enzyme supplement capsule when I eat certain foods like beans, cabbage, or broccoli. I also like to add a potassium containing electrolyte powder to water I drink when I work out or just throughout the day.

      Except you are experiencing excessive sweating or diarrhea, be careful with Potassium supplements. Excessive intake can cause irregular heart rate aka heart palpitation.

    You don't need 3-5 g of creatine,
    .03 g/kg/day is enough and bcaa's don't do anything at all if you consume enough protein

    Hi joanna... Can u plz make a video on bodyweight cardio exercises and how to combine them with regular gym cardio coz my body works best walking, cycling. And whn i do only bodyweight cardio at home i feel pain in my knees.. And when i perform walking on tredmill or outside in d park, i feel no pain.

    Hello Joanna.. I’ve been watching your videos the past few weeks and have been most impressed with the content.. thank you! I just recently started resistance training a month ago (my schedule has been 2 split sessions a week, for 45 mins) and have every intention to progress into weight lifting. I have engaged a personal trainer at the gym to get me started with, and your videos have been most helpful. However I’m having doubts about how many calories I’m consuming. I weighed myself (on one of those special machines) on the first day of training and again a month later, and I had actually lost 1 kg of muscle mass. I have yet to chat with my personal trainer about it, but wanted to do a bit of research before doing so. I have some questions I’m hoping you can help me with :
    - is it possible that the loss of muscle mass is very likely to do with not consuming enough calories?
    - I currently take whey isolate protein drink (the brand I’m taking has 23 g protein per scoop of 25 g) only on days I’m training, and only post-workout. Should i increase that? I’m currently taking 1 scoop.
    - Is it advisable to also consume protein drink on your recovery days when the after-burn is taking place?
    - is it also a good idea to get started with creatine supplement at this initial stage? I am concerned about bloating as I do easily get bloated!
    - My personal trainer has been pushing me at every session to work harder by consistently increasing the load on the machines, to the point where I reach muscle fatigue and could no longer continue the set. So I would perform 1 set of 8-10 reps, then he would increase the load and I’ll do another set (barely completing 8 reps) before getting tired. Is that the right way to train? My goal is to increase lean muscle mass and get the toned look, and of course to get fitter and stronger.

    I prefer dymatize iso100 gourmet chocolate protein powder. I have tried so many other brands and they all taste chalky and hard to blend. This one is expensive but the best👍

    I’m a female, trying to gain weight (I’m underweight), I do lifting exercises as you suggest and I eat surplus of calories daily to gain weight. Sometimes it gets tiring to eat 5-6 meals a day, so I’m looking into protein shakes but I’m not sure if its recommended for my intake. Any advices on this? ☹️

    They say bcaa is a waste of money.. Ive tried that vegan protein. Was too sweet for me and has a little bitter taste. Whey isolate is really more effective than when i take vegan protein. I wanted vegan protein though im not vegan but couldnt feel the strength i needed compared to when i take whey isolate. I get my omega 3s in chia seeds mixed with protein shakes.

      BCAA is a must for me. Other proteinshakes like Whey makes me fat because it requires that I have to exercise more and I am not a professional, just want to maintain a good normal body. Fuel is what I needed for my normal exercise.

      Remember, the best nutrition is to consume WHOLE FOODS, nothing beats that. As a teenager, you are still growing, and your body needs the best and enough nutrition. Eat well, stay active and allow your body to naturally develop. =)
