You knocked this one out of the park and especially for a betta. With the floating plants, the tannins in the water and the flow being slowed down by the water fall. It's a perfect betta setup.

amazing setup man. you should consider stapling or mounting down the end of the tube so it doesnt slip out over time. would such if you got a leak

Hey , beautiful set up ,loved it , but just had one question, with so little bio load in the tank ,how will the huge plant on the top get it's nutrition, will you be adding any ferts ?
Thank you! I am dosing once a week with ferts. We'll see how it goes. I am hoping that the peace lily won't have too much competition since all of the anubias are incredibly slow at sucking up nutrients from the water.

I did! Mail carriers hate me because they always have to carry boxes of rocks to my door 😂
@WorldofWhasian I imagine mine are about to get pretty angry with me too! I generally try and stay away from buying hardscape online because I've seen so many horror stories about water quality being affected, but I've been tempted by BucePlant's prices and now I have an example of a professional grade scape made with their stuff! Guess I know where my summer hobby money is being invested! Lol
Which substrate are you using ? And how likely will you recommend a walstad style tank ? Btw nice bike
Thank you! I am using UNS controsoil. Walstad seems fun! This is technically not a walstad tank since I am using a filter. I believe walstad stlye tanks rely on plants only for filtration. I definitely want to give that style of tank a go soon.
Did you use any soil/aqua soil or just sand?
I used aqua soil but I probably could’ve done with out it!

Do you have a lid for it? Is a lid always necessary with bettas?!
I have a rim that I cut from window screening that goes around the edge when I'm not around. Betta personalities can vary quite a lot but its good to be safe.

Are you using lots of botanicals?! What kind of wood are you using

And i got some medium size seiryu stone
Ghost shrimp, whisker shrimp, 1 glowlight tetra, 6 neon tetra and 6 black neon tetra
Canister filter with 70% bio media (no carbon) and sponge
Substrate base layer as 1mm lava rock and 3 inch height aqua soil
@@theredtree7493 Load it up with almond leaves and alder cones if you have not already! They provide most of the brown tannins
@@WorldofWhasian Allright, I actually have a lot of almond leaves and alder cones siting inside a water bottle. Hope they leave a lot of tan inside my tank
