Any thoughts on the hard case? Amazon offers bungles which brought it to mind versus the cloth bag it’s packaged with.

Just bought one for 3 of my vehicles. It’s a good investment for $80-$100
I don't have fancy one like that but those portable jump starters are so awesome. Sooo many times I have used it on by buddies vehicles in wintertime. So much easier than pulling my car and use jumper cables.
I’d been thinking on one since I came back from a two week vacation to a car with a dead battery in an airport lot and their security pulled out one of those and had me going in minutes. Hugely better than cables!
Bought the gb40 a few months back as a precaution and low and behold our 4R battery crapped out while out and about. No slow crank or anything, just dead. GB40 started it 4x throughout the day till I could get closer to home and get a new battery. Awesome product!

Love that thing. Bought one last year for myself and the wife. Used only one time on my wife's car. Everyone should own one. She left keys turned on, trying to get kids back at park. Etc. Don't leave home without it.

My mechanic recommended Gooloo & Noco. Yes, it’s truly needed. I got a Cat battery pack at Costco, but it wouldn’t jump the 4Runner. Gooloo doesn’t even blink, at all! (not even the slight hesitation with Noco). Good vid.

JUST BUY IT!!! Bought a NOCO GB40 a couple years ago. Best tool I've bought in years. Saved a stranger, started my lawn tractor, motorcycle. and charged my phone a few times.
I keep in in my vehicle and put a reminder on my phone to check the battery every 3 months.
These things are life savers. Have one in each vehicle ,different brand but same concept
Much better than the huge jump box I have and can't find the charging cable for anymore.
I have one, and although I’ve never needed it to save myself, it’s helped strangers and friends many times. I also charge my cell phone on camping trips, this is an invaluable tool to care with you, buy one immediately.
I bought the GBX45 on sale on Black Friday last year. Ironically, my battery died last weekend. After I got over being nervous, I pulled it out and plugged it in. My car started right up. This is woman approved! Buy one today!

These things are good, I just used one during a -32C cold snap without charging it for months and it did the trick to start a Forester.
Yep. Halfway through a day poking about single track roads all over SW PA around that Frank Loyd Wright house Fallingwater I luckily was parked at a park waterfalls overview when I came back from probably my tenth photo op of the day to a dead battery. No cables, no people. AAA drove 45 miles one way to jump me. I flashed on all the back of beyond places I’d just been: went out Monday after getting a replacement battery (“failed the load test”, it was 4 years old...) and picked up one of those. A bit bigger for greater cold weather cranking power: the GB70 (a 2000). But for exactly the same reasons, I chose a 4 Runner for where it can take me: and those places I don’t want to be stranded!
And Li-ion like those hold charge for a year versus the huge and heavy lead acid ones that say they require monthly charging.
Well worth the money ! It started my GMC Sierra with a completely dead battery !

Noco battery booster plus GB 40 is simply the best one to buy. I had to use it today for the first since buying it. I boosted my Jeep Compass 4X4 this afternoon. Put the positive on first. After using it on your vehicle starts take negative off first, then the positive. Then turn the GB40 off. Leave your vehicle on so your battery can continue to charge itself. This Noco GB 40 can boost a vehicle over 20 times, but give this booster charger a rest in between. With owning this battery booster you will never need to call a Auto Club again!! I bought a GB40 a few months ago to start 2.4L Camry with weak (not dead) battery. Worked great but I bought a new battery also

My moms 07 4runner battery lasted 7 or 8 years till it went bad, it was a panasonic battery, it was a some white white clear battery so u could see the liquids moving lol

The NOCO 40 works on a completely dead battery ! Others don't ! It pays for itself the first time you use it !
I need one of these. I probably jump off an average of 4-5 people a year.
My tundra battery is dead right now, been jumping it off for 3 days. Using my noco, don’t even have to wait 10 seconds and it jumps right up. Jumped it off over 6 times on one charge, at 75%. Noco has great customer service and a good warranty. We have 4 or 5 of these. Awesome, my charger for phone when hunting.

@@TRDJon we had one go dead for some reason, was over a month out of warranty and they still sent us a new one! Didn’t even ask for the old one back.
I use the GB70 all the time at work. Jump starts a dead LX570 like nothing!

That’s the size I went for. I figured really cold starts might be helped by the extra power. Once stranded (two weeks ago) even if it was only for two hours, I figured to add in some extra performance margin.
How long did the charge last??
Wow that’s awesome, can you store these in the vehicle for long periods of time? Live in Dallas so don’t want this exploding on me if it gets too hot in the summer lol
I'd definitely make sure you charge it up every now and then and make sure it doesn't go completely dead.

Worked like a champ
These little boxes are great. I got one for each of our cars. Super easy to just hand it off to someone who is asking for a jump instead of moving cars (like you mention) to jump them.
One recommendation I have is that Amazon has some cases for these that are much nicer than the bag they come with. It fits under the seat or in my recovery box much nicer.

Smells like a commercial. U should try Neutral and a little push. Obviously impossible to move the stuff out of the bay next to the runner.

All my vehicles are under 6.0L of a gas engine so this one would work perfectly for all my vehicles.

Time to upgrade to a quality AGM battery. The factory batteries are pretty much junk. I keep cables and a battery booster in pretty much everything that has wheels or goes on water.

I'm a subscriber and yes I like TRD Jon. I have learned many things. Uhhhh. I'm channeling some of my electrician friends right now....a good 3 year old battery....uhhhh....should not be an issue. Even if it wasn't started for 3 MONTHS. Sorry.
Not sure then. But the FL heat does take it's toll o it I guess.
@@TRDJon had the same thing happen on my Tacoma after two years of owning it. Put it on the trickle charger and it showed not fully charged so Toyota swapped it out for a brand new one. Great idea I might have to look at one of those jump starters too thx :D

The hesitation on starting is because of the ECU has lost its settings after a battery drain. Nothing to do with the NOCO.

I got one of these and have had nothing but problems with it. It wont hold a charge and no response from Noco when contacted. It was less than 2 months old when i contacted Noco to let them know there was an issue. Never comment on things on RUclips, but have made the exception for such a poorly made product / terrible customer service. Avoid!!

I have one in every car, you should never use jumper cables on a modern car with all the computer chips and electronics.
