With how Kairi is always teasing Sora in the first game, Sora's first introduction in this game is him teasing Kairi. Love the full circle and the bond of these characters.
How tf is this a kids game!? I was so emotionally damaged when I was a kid playing this game and watching this brought everything back omg. This game definitely has longevity ❤ and I hope my kids get to play this game soon. And I will make sure I’m there when it happens ❤
Sora literally kills himself to save kiri Fights the deadliest man in the world to keep her safe, couldn't go home and got lost in other worlds 1 year later she can't even remember his name Talk about a one sided relationship Time to let it go sora 😂😂😂😂
Well If you actually payed attention to the lore and story of the game everyone forgot him but their hearts were connected so she at least was able to remember there was another boy on the island with her besides riku
@@noxlunatic3622 there is something else I want to mention. The progress in reforming Sora’s memories was pretty slow but after Roxas made contact with Kairi the progress jumped up pretty high it was even discussed between Diz(Ansem the wise) and Ansem (Riku)
Literally growing up I always found confusion how she is so clueless on his name until the final moments of the scene, and it never made sense to me how she figured it out, let alone how she contacted Roxas with telepathy or some shit, to top it off, the way she said sora, as if she never said his name before, sounding so unnatural like a robot. Just weird scene all the way around. Kingdom hearts is one of my favorite series, but I'll have to admit a lot of the earlier games had some of the weirdest moments that could never be understood until way later or never at all.
She forgot about him, like everyone else, when Sora went through Castle Oblivion. The reason she says his name weird is because she doesn't fully remember him yet. The reason they can speak through telepathy is because it's Kingdom Hearts, and that is literally the least absurd thing about the story.
@@gsc4783 I'm aware everyone, even kairi, forgot about sora. She specifically says that at the start. My point of confusion is due to how she remembers. She has no clue what his name is, writes a message in a bottle, sets it down, and pretty much remembers it right away. They could have just finished the scene without her saying it, and let her remember off screen. Her entire conflict of trying to remember pretty much happens off screen, and this scene's entire purpose is to show that everyone has forgotten sora, but they are slowly remembering him. Her saying there was another boy, other than riku would have been enough for her to remember. So to just snap and say his name was odd, especially in the way she did. It just simply always stuck out to me. The telepathy part, just simply never made sense, even by kingdom hearts standards. If they had telepathy, we would have had no reason for gummi phones later on. It's there so I can't deny it, but simply saying it's kingdom hearts isn't enough. I know the game can be absurd, but most things end up having a reason. I also know this isn't the most absurd moment as I played every single one of the games. The video goes over kairi remembering sora, so I'm going to talk about kairi remembering sora.
@@FerociousMitI think the telepathy part was due to Roxas having contact with Naminé the day prior to this cutscene. Since Naminé is Kairi’s Nobody, and Roxas was trying to reach out to Naminé as he was glitching the simulation, it must’ve allowed some weird telepathy communication between them.
Kairi and Sora were literally bonded together for at least a month. In that same time, Kairi could reach out to Sora in a very similar fashion. Pair that with her POH powers and it works just fine for the two to share a moment similar to this (especially considering Sora's condition). Also, the entire point of the scene is that Sora's return is fast approaching, not just that people have forgotten him.
If you watch this and then watch the ending cutscene right after you’ll start crying
Done it multiple times😭😭
Imagine watching the kh3 ending after this
Bro I start crying here

holy sh!t kiri just brought sora back to life!! with his name, how did i not connect the dots!
"Right... Sore-RAHh?"
If you know about Chain of Memories its even funnier cause Sora is just remembering who Kairi is himself during this time. LOL

Have you even played Chain of Memories, Alex?
@@noxlunatic3622 its a joke you stupid fuck
Kairi looks more mature here than kh3 i dunno why
Long hair?
@@ozero00rockon may be the one cause..
Yes, I also think so
It must be the hair, the bobcut kinda makes her face look kinda childlike.
@@ozero00rockonwonder if she got her haircut from the Demon Tower Barbershop like Riku did
3:13 The song of depression
This is the proof this shows everyone forgot sora including his Mom
Oh look an actual cutscene with camera work unlike kh3.
I’m just so glad, somebody else finally pointed out how bad the majority of cutscenes in KH3 are
