Kairi is terrible and any scenario with Riku and Sora actively working together would break the Kingdom Hearts narrative as both need to bring their specific type of dumb to the Table for the Villian Shenanigans to work.

@@whungus4681 I mean what I wrote. Sora and Riku both get played by the Villians constantly out of sheer stupidity. the are however stupid in different ways. Riku can be made to second guess himself super easily. Sora is trusting to the point of it being ridiculous. if they were together´Sora would stop Riku from questioning himself and Riku is a far less trusting person and wouldn't go along with pretty much anything like Sora does. The plans of Villians tend to require the protags do what they want in KH. Reminder´none of this would have happened in TAV simply hadn't gone to the Keyblade Graveyard´which is something the Villians explicitly told them they wanted to happen. In KH3 it seems that Xehanort can only win by the Guardians of Light engaging him on his terms. if they would have simply protected the princesses of Heart´Xehanort would have been screwed. The protags in KH Game constantly do what the Villians want them to for no real reason.
Back when KH2 came out, it kinda felt like the end of the franchise (except for the BBS trailer afterwards). We had defeated both the heartless and nobody threat. Roxas and Namine were recompleted and could be togetjer whenever Sora and Kairi were, satisfying their storyline (we even see a glimpse of them at the beach when Sora and Riku make it back home). The destiny island trio is finally together again (the goal since KH1). The disney characters are home in disney castle. No other lose ends aside from the letter they recieve at the end had been introduced (No wayfinder trio, no new evils, no real clocktower trio yet). So yeah, KH2 seemed like a nice wrapup, and it would have been even better with a Destiny islands trio final battle
@@KlausiboyZ Yeah but when you think about the post credit cutscene, it basically tells you that Sora's journey isn't actually over, they were basically setting up KH3 to begin with. And the games that came out after KH2 gave the ending a flaw. What about Terra, Aqua, and Ven? What about Xion? This can't be Xehanort's end since he's so intelligent right? Etc. What bugged me is that KH3 never got a proper happy ending where everyone gets a happy ending of peace at last including Sora. Also, it wouldn't make sense if Kairi was able to keep up with Sora and Riku if she didn't get locked out with Mickey. Think of the power progression Sora had to go through to get from Lv 1 to Lv 50. It would've been a better ending scenario if Kairi was with them to finish off Xemnas but having to be this powerful when she just got a Keyblade would've been an asspull.
@@dawnstar9557 actually, the keyblade's power comes from the strength of the user's heart... as a pure heart, she has the most "potential" out of everyone there, even Mickey who was already considered a Master before BBS... saying she taps into said "potential" to be nearly their equal isn't a stretch... just give her an "awkward" sword stance and attacks that are more flailing about since she doesn't have as much sword practice as the boys, and she'd work nicely enough
Now this is how things should've been, not just Sora finishing the battle and Riku helping. Instead it's more like Riku redeeming himself, Kairi showing she too can help, and Sora's there so nothing happens to them again. This time they finish the fight together.
@@sasir2013 SPOILERS FOR KH:MoM yeah like LOL the one chance she could’ve proved herself Sora just busted in Though i think they did that so she doesn’t go with riku to Quadritum (i think that’s what it’s called
Spoilers for MoM Yes, I was super pissed as well. Not only she didn't finish the fight in her own game, she doesn't go with Riku for a weak reason I'm hoping something good comes from her training with Aqua, but it's been rough
She definitely wouldn’t be doing this much but I still wanted her on the team for the finale. I think since you can have 5 party members in 3 it should have been sora, riku, kairi, goofy, and donald vs xehanort
She would be more useful I feel in kh3 rather than 2, since she has no idea how to use a keyblade or how to use magic, This does make me wish we did have this in KH3 as it would have been more appropriate in my opinion. She knows how to use it and magic and is much stronger in 3 than 2 so it would have been amazing to see her kick ass along with he rest of the crew.
Fun Fact: If you die in the first fight against armored xemnas, you can get saved by Mickey and play as him, so Kairi is literally the only person who doesn't participate in the final fights. :(
Actually. If you look at BBS. Or even at what's implied in the first. The Princesses of Heart are significantly more powerful (inherently) than even the HBRC Snow White fought off (probably with the 7D) The Darkness for ten years, (if you go OC->DJ) Since she's identified in BBS and the cutscene showing her capture are 10 years apart. I like that the first Disney Princess was just wrecking shit.... But later with no one else inside the castle.... Not a single other soul... Five princesses of heart (Belle & Beast retreated to the library to gather information) single handedly held back the final keyhole. Which based on the final world literally called.... End of the World the Darkness that released from there was powerful enough to destroy everything else. Except the world's you sealed. (Hence different color beams). It's implied Hollow Bastion still gets destroyed when you return to it, since Kairi is seen standing in the Darkness right before Sora and Mickey restore the universe. KH3 basically confirms the other six PoH kicked the bucket when the Invisibles showed up, since six new ones inherited it in the restored universe. How epic was that original ending narratively? Lol. If five held off a universe ending threat. I think one might give the dark side a run the closer they get to Kingdom hearts... CONFIRMED TO BE LIGHT!!!! Light magic was the only one used here. Which is actually canon from the first game when she uses it to restore Sora and disintegrate some Heartless in one go. Perfect finisher choice. That shit should also heal party members around her. But this was epic. Still should have been Riku and Sora at the very end. Cause she's their way back from The Realm of Darkness....
@@Homoronavirus It makes a lot of sense for this fight though. Sora and Riku up to this point have experienced KH1, CoM, and everything in 2 and even then they were barely able to beat Xemnas. I’ll be honest as cool as it would’ve been to have Kairi fight with Sora and Riku in this fight, was kinda disappointed that it wasn’t Sora, Riku, and Mickey all fighting together as the 3 keyblade wielders
Finally.... My wildest fantasies are almost real... The destiny trio ACTUALLY fighting together. If only we get this in actual games. Id love to see them interact with eachother more.
Kairi isn't a Character, she's a goal. Trying to make her more then that is the issue. Face it weird Kairi Fans (weird because there is nothing to be a Fan of with Kairi), that's not the type of Role she was created to play. Kairi exists as motivation for Sora and Riku. She's essentially Destiny Islands made manifest.
Clearly not. She was a goal in KH1, but in KH2 she became a character. Plus in re:mind she was a good fighter (especially good in magic) so no she is not just a goal anymore. In KH2 she had a hell of a character even if she doesn't fight, in kh3 re:mind she fights alongside sora. Plus the story always involve trios (bbs, 358/2 days, kh1 and 2) You can clearly see that they try to make her more present in the story but it's just bad character writing, just like sakura in Naruto. If you don't like this character good on you, but don't call people weird just because they like a character you don't. And if you think that create a character just to be a goal and literraly NOTHING else is ok then you are the one who is weird.
@@florianmorelli4873 Lol. Kairi was not more of a Character in 2. All she did was get Kidnapped and tell Sora that Riku looks like Ansem for some reason. In 3 it's almost played for laughs with her being added to the Guardians of light, having seemingly unlimited Time to magically train and still accomplishing nothing. Why? Because Kairi is a goal to obtain. She is a stand-in for Destiny Islands and the lives being left behind. And she has to fulfill that role because no other connections were established. If it weren't for a few short scenes, you could be forgiven for thinking that their entire World was just 6 Kids on a tiny Play Island. Who is Riku connected to from there beside Sora or Kairi? Oh right, nobody. Same applies to Sora even though we know that he has at least a Mom (that he never ever mentions). So, Kairi the non-character, the entity that things happen around but who never ever drives the plot in any way, is terrible and to be a fan of her is to be a fan without any logical reason, mostly because you want to see the girl, who has clearly been designated as a side character, to be cool. It's not going to happen, Kairi needs to suck for the dynamic to work. What's weird is that anyone could possibly care. Kairi is not a formerly good Character, she has never had a Character. And much the same could be said about Aqua and Xion. Female Characters just get to alternate between being shocked and concerned about the male protags, they also have no drive of their own. Aqua just wants to bring back Terra and Ven, she has no larger Goal. Kairi...fuck she would literally just be on Destiny Islands sitting around, possibly not even remembering that Sora and Riku exist if Axel hadn't taken her. And also, spare the Trio nonsense. The Trios don't mean anything xD I mean, in your Mind Sora, Kairi and Riku are a Trio....despite how they never actually accomplish anything as a Trio and how the Game actually consistently portrays Riku and Mickey as a Duo and Sora, Donald and Goofy as a Trio. The Series is very poorly written and clearly not planned ahead anywhere near they way it would have to be to make consistent and good Storytelling with so many Games. Reminder getting a Keyblade is as simple as touching another one and even when that simple thing hasn't happened, Characters like Sora and Lea get one anyway because reasons (in Leas case because he is popular and would otherwise be irrelevant to the plot going forward), despite this simplicity, it never occurs to anyone to simply induct a few of their many other allies as Keyblade Wielders, instead it must be those People that nobody can find. Kairi is Sora's designated Love interest, nothing more, nothing less and if you haven't picked up on this blatantly obvious thing, even after Kairi get's damsled and has to be rescued by Sora in her own Game, I'd say you are a hopeless case.
@@Monoochrom If that had been the case all along, then I'd agree, and she'd still be back on the islands waiting for them. But kh2 onward showed that's not what was in store for her. The heavy power of three trinity theme in this series pretty much guaranteed that she should've been there with her boys from the get go, but Nomura just isn't good at that, possibly combined with Disney maybe having a hand in that

While I would have loved to have had Kairy join Sora and Riku for the final boss, realistically I can't see Kairy being much help. By KH2 Kairy didn't have any sort of combat training and hadn't gotten the experience that Sora and Riku did during their travels to teach herself how to fight like they did. If we're being generous you could give her the benefit of the doubt and give her some basic fighting techniques that she might have picked up from watching Sora and Riku fight so often or even have it so that Kairy occasionally joined in on their fights from time to time and have it so that she gained some basic experience from that. In all honesty it wouldn't really be out of place considering the fact that every single child on that island in KH1 seemed to have at least some basic combat experience and then fighting each other wasn't an unusual thing for them to do. And while Kairy may have gotten shafted in KH3 even after her training arc, I feel like they can still do more with her now that she actually knows what she's doing. Not to mention her being a princess of light opens up a whole other world of possibilities for her which could be explored with a whole game dedicated to Kairy. And I think we can all agree that she deserves SOMETHING after being mistreated over the years, she literally went into a training arc and during her first official battle she gets captured and killed. It took creating a whole DLC just to give her a chance to show what she could do and even then I feel like she hasn't even come close to reaching her full potential. There are still sleeping worlds right? Maybe they could make a Dream Drop Distance style game in which Kairy goes on an adventure to awaken more of the sleeping worlds, it would give her something important to do and it would give them the perfect opportunity to expand her character and her relationship with the other characters such as Roxas who is someone she hasn't spoken to since KH2 or even Axel (Lea) who Kairy spent a long time training with and developed a friendship with. They could also have Kairy bond with Xion and they could even have Aqua fully accept her role a Keyblade Master and have her become Kairy's teacher and help her become a better Keyblade user. I'm just rambling at this point, my point is that Kairy still has so many possibilities that have yet to be explored.
It's funny how 6:05 to 8:02 is just unmodded vanilla Final Boss content 😂 I do wonder if it's possible to get some sound of Riku saying Kairis name and replacing "Sora!" With "Kairi!"
It's 100% possible there are definitely lines of Riku saying "Kairi" but its probably too much work for the sake of one line so they removed it instead is my guess
Every squad has a heavy-physical user, a heavy-magical user and a hybrid MELEE: Goofy Goofy Xion Tera Riku MAGIC:: Donald Donald Axel Aqua Kairi HYBRID Sora Mickey Roxas Ventus Sora Kairi should be a heavy-magic user
Honestly I feel they could've given Kairi her own moveset and obviously a much better development. Riku gave her a weapon to fight with. That's even shown in it's own scene they could've made her a party member at least for the time being of the final fight. Or make her a situational teammate like the ff7 characters. Have her mess up a swing and fall to the ground like Ping does at the very least since she's not exactly experienced in fighting. Not Mulan in general I mean specifically Ping when you first do Land of Dragons. Pay attention to him during combat you'll see it.
What makes this interesting to watch is the fact you can control Kairi and even rotate between the trio during the transitions between fights. Wish I knew why this wasn't part of the canon game, this would have made KH3 even more epic down the road, not just KH2FM.
Of course Kairi wouldn't be this skillful with the Keyblade already so soon, but this is so cool to see! Didn't expect to see you playing as her as well, what a bonus. Kairi, Sora, and ,Riku standing side by side, truly as equals, cant wait (can wait) to see this happen for real. Kairis training so for has already gave her much skill than how long it took for Sora and Riku, whom are mostly self taught. Now she's gonna have Master Aqua as her teacher! Kairi is simply gonna be so clean on the field afterwords. Believe it👊
Kairi's "I gotcha!" is so cute. Nice to see them fighting side by side! Obviously Kairi had 0 training in this game but it would be amazing if something like this happened in the future.
You mean like Aqua and Xion?? One was playable and both was actually important to the story and the game they debuted. Kairi is the only useless one. Namine was more relevant than she was. So it's just Kairi, not all women. There's also Larxine.
@@KingTai64 Yeah but what about Kairi? How many men and woman are there in the game? Aqua is the main character of the spin offs, not the main saga, which is Sora... 3 friends. 2 guys and 1 girl... I mean... C'mon...
To be honest, it shouldve been Riku and Kairi in the engine part, Sora and Kairi for the dragon part, Sora and Riku for the third part, and all 3 for the last part, with Sora and Riku in the in-battle cutscene.
I like how Kairi in this scenario fights. Like, she’s never been in a fight before, has no training and is using a Keyblade for the first time. She doesn’t know what to do. So what does she do? She just watches Sora and does what he does. She’s basically copied his style of fighting. Very realistic. (I know they just used his fighting animation, while customizing it to make it feel more unique to Kairi)
This is awesome!! Hopefully Nomura and SE will actually start to give us more playable Kairi (ideally her own game, or at least half her own game), as well as more inclusion in fighting as the full Destiny Trio (and being able to pick which of the three we get to fight as).
What I liked about this original fight is that Riku and Sora had some teamwork moments that showed off their trust in each other. If they included Kairi, she could’ve had some equally impactful moments. They could’ve had moments where her inexperience shows and Sora and Riku give her a little support and have her keep up. Throw in a little tension where she slips up and almost dies (kinda like Sora being bound by Xemnas’ ability in that one part) then we would’ve had like the trio coming perfectly together. Also, I feel that in today’s world I have to mention that yes, Kairi would in fact struggle the most in the fight and realistically would need Sora and Riku to support her a bit, not because she’s a woman but because she literally doesn’t have much experience with a keyblade lol
I like the idea but i think kairi at this point had almost no fighting expirience so she wouldnt be much of a help. But still cool video i liked it the only thing i didnt like that much was the final xemnas fight i think this fight should stay as it is with sora and riku fighting xemnas. Keep up the good work :)

Kairi is terrible and any scenario with Riku and Sora actively working together would break the Kingdom Hearts narrative as both need to bring their specific type of dumb to the Table for the Villian Shenanigans to work.

Monoochrom You’re literally commenting like this on so many comments that I’m just going to assume you’re a troll. So ok, troll 👍
@@bookfan1239 I am absolutely trolling. I am also telling the truth. The trolling in this case simply being that it's obvious that people that are fans of a non-character will sperg out if you tell them it's a non-character. it's still very much true though xD so go cry me a river
This is pretty clean! I really like Kairi's moveset. Would be wild if this were canon. A KH game that ends with the OG trio! Nicely done.

I KNOW RIGHT?!?
Mickey, too!
Fun Fact: If you die in the first fight against armored xemnas, you can get saved by Mickey and play as him, so Kairi is literally the only person who doesn't participate in the final fights. :(
Actually. If you look at BBS.
Or even at what's implied in the first.
The Princesses of Heart are significantly more powerful (inherently) than even the HBRC
Snow White fought off (probably with the 7D)
The Darkness for ten years, (if you go OC->DJ)
Since she's identified in BBS and the cutscene showing her capture are 10 years apart.
I like that the first Disney Princess was just wrecking shit.... But later with no one else inside the castle....
Not a single other soul...
Five princesses of heart (Belle & Beast retreated to the library to gather information)
single handedly held back the final keyhole.

This is the Kairi we deserve. Seriously i was so mad after Melody of memory, what they did to her character was so disgusting.
I'm almost numb by this point about all disrespect her character has received
Plus the story always involve trios (bbs, 358/2 days, kh1 and 2)
You can clearly see that they try to make her more present in the story but it's just bad character writing, just like sakura in Naruto.
If it weren't for a few short scenes, you could be forgiven
for thinking that their entire World was just 6 Kids on a tiny Play Island.

This basically makes already kh2 10 times better
11:50 never did i realize i needed to see something so badly like that happen in kingdom hearts

Kairi should’ve been playable up until after defeating xemnas than gets separated when going home.
What makes this interesting to watch is the fact you can control Kairi and even rotate between the trio during the transitions between fights. Wish I knew why this wasn't part of the canon game, this would have made KH3 even more epic down the road, not just KH2FM.
I feel cheated by Nomura this is SO GOOD

After watching this, looking back at KH2 and knowing everything we know now about the series, it’s kinda baffling this wasn’t how it originally was.

What I expected in KH3.
This is awesome!! Hopefully Nomura and SE will actually start to give us more playable Kairi (ideally her own game, or at least half her own game), as well as more inclusion in fighting as the full Destiny Trio (and being able to pick which of the three we get to fight as).
When gamers make better content than developers this 12 minutes is worth more than the whole kh3 game literally i hate floaty combat

If you want a story explanation... there is none, from what I understand canonically Mickey never fights Xemnas with Sora and Riku. If you want you can chalk it up to Mickey using the Power of Waking to save Sora when he needs it the most.
Thank you for doing the world a service
Nobody cares the Nomura ending, this is cannon now
This is what should have happened in kh3. Crazy Nomura, you still got us waiting for kairi to join Sora and riku.
So she still basically doesn’t help at all. Figures. 😂
Yo, thanks for this, it looks super good! I really hope Kingdom Hearts will do Kairi justice in the future games(and the other female characters as well)
Kairi is nowhere near the level of Sora and Riku, she would just die, It's pointless to have her in this fight.
This, she just got her keyblade, it would be like Sora fighting Xemnas (or even Ansem SoD) the night he got his keyblade, he would just lose.
But i get that people want to see their fantasies and hopes come true so it's okay even if it doesn't make sense, doesn't matter to me as long as the games proper don't go down that route too.
What if Kairi Wasn’t separated from Sora and Riku but instead Donald and Goofy got separated from the others:
*Xemnas use his powers to attack on Sora and his Friends then, King Mickey, Donald and Goofy got separated from Sora, Riku, and Kairi*
King Mickey: Whoa Oof. Oh No!
Riku: No Your majesty.
*The Door Shuts*
Donald and Goofy: Huh SORA!!!
Sora: Donald, Goofy No!!
Kairi: Guys we to keep going.
Sora: Ok Let’s do this!!
Ok but how meaningful would it be to have _her_ fight xemnas instead. I would have loved that
HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN
Everyone gangster until Kairi become's a damsel in distress.
