When I was a little kid, my family never checked our dryer hyenas. My parents taught me how to “deal with them” when I was little, but not very well. Though the common dryer hyena is relatively calm, a child may easily spook them, as the hyena will mistake the child for unwashed clothes. As you can assume, the ensuing fist fight between me and the hyena went poorly, with the hyena running off to, presumably, a different dryer. Moral is: Always make sure to have your dryer repaired and checked for hyenas every few years.

@Mitchell Bruce Sioni they can be friendly to both, but in the wild they aren’t as likely to chase down and attack a person as a lion is. And hyenas aren’t really friendly to their own clan. But lions steal from hyenas, kill humans more often than hyenas, and are more likely to chase you down.
