Review of The K-Express Essentials - A New Entry Level Keurig Sold At Walmart

- The new K-Express Essentials is a Keurig only found for sale at Walmart. It's similar in size to the K-Supreme and the water reservoir is almost exactly the same size as the K-Compact and the K-Slim.
The thing is that I like it best out of all the entry level Keurig machines right now because the water reservoir can accept a charcoal filter if I want to add one to it, the reservoir is easy to detach, fill, and reattach, and the machine brews a 6-ounce cup unlike models like the K-Slim.
I wish the machine brewed a little slower but for the price this is a good value.

Just went to Walmart and scooped one of these up. Can't wait to have my morning coffee tomorrow.
This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
just bought one today for 32$ at my local Walmart and i love it so far. Didn’t think it was supposed to brew so quickly but after watching your video I’m happy it works properly 😆

I am fascinated by the water to coffee contact time. I went out and bought a Keurig smart plus because of your recommendation. Although I love strong coffee, I would say almost every setting almost produces too strong of coffee for me. Nonetheless, I’d love your opinion on the strength of the coffee/contact time for the k-mini and k express. My roommate has the k-mini and I’d say it makes a decent cup. I was considering also buying the k-express but I see it had no strong button and the coffee might come out too quickly.
I actually prefer the simplicity of the entry model here in this video. I'm the type of guy that just wants to press one button and be about on my way. I don't like fiddling with all the settings and this Keurig model is perfect for that. I just press the 8 oz button (that's how strong I like it) and that's it. No fuss. Easy to just refill the water every so often but that's all you gotta do.

Just bought it today. Yes it does. It’s actually easy you just pop it off the side and you can completely take it off to refill.

Open. Take out pod. Let it dry. I use a small piece of paper towel to clean excess coffee and moisture too.
I am deciding between this which is around $60 at Walmart and Mixpresso Single Serve Which is around $60 at Amazon. Any suggestions?.
Is the water filter the same size as the K-Slim?
Make sure you know how to do the descaling process. It’s in the manual. Every 250 cups the light comes on

Yes it comes off. I'm able to fill mine from the sink since i have an expandable water faucet.

I just got this machine a few days ago the coffee is weak so far im not impressesd. I have a older Kuerig thats big and bulkier and i figureed this would would fit nicely with my Nespresso machine since im limited on counter space.
Mine brews the same amount for each setting. No clue how to reset that? Or is it malfunctioned?
Why doesn’t it have a strong button is that bad ? Mine current one does but this one doesn’t have the strong what’s the difference?

I just got this model. Noticed immediately that the flavor was way better compared to my previous keurig. Using a good quality brand coffee will help too. Looks like the multi-stream with the strong/bold button is the way to go for THE MOST robust flavor from your pods.

How do you clean your Keurig k-express essential with vinegar? And can you use any vinegar?
I just ran some through mine today. I used a 50/50 white vinegar to water mix through mine a few times. Then of course ran regular water through it a couple times after that.

Is the base removable for taller cups?

3 months in and it’s descale light won’t go off despite multiple descale cycles… vinegar seems to screw up the functioning of the other machine I owned I had to reset the functions by pushing specific buttons in a certain way

I dropped the water reservoir, it cracked and now I can't find a replacement. I'd suggest making sure on the website that you buy one that has spare parts available, as the plastic is quite brittle.

Checked the reservoir is placed properly, plugged ok but still stops after few drops and water is not even hot.

what water does it use?
They suggest filtered or bottled water so you don't have to descale as often. Tap water is fine, depending on where you live I guess.

So does he ever answer your questions here? I have no idea what to use for the descale feature when the light comes on. I've read the comments below and now I'm scared. It looks like we have to use a new pod for 2 cups of coffee because we pressed the 8 0z button. It stops brewing the first cup. Do we use the same pod for the second cup of water or do we use a new pod? I just bought mine yesterday at WM for $57.00 The instructions are kinda vague. Does the coffee pod black thing inside the machine with the needle come off so that we can clean it? Please answer!
Only use one pod per cup of coffee. If you want to reuse the same one, just lift the top and put it back down. I can't imagine the second cup will taste as good.
I assume you run the descaling solution (available on the website, or I'm guessing in store) through the water reservoir. I don't think the needle thing comes off.
@@kactus1889 you're right using the same pod for the second cup of joe was no bueno. We bought a bunch of pods and use them daily 1 pod per each cup. We are not disappointed! Thanks for your response!

There where many recalls on this product and customer service well im waiting for their supervisor to contact me back their request of me asking the peron who gifted it to me for the receipt is absurd i hope those customer service workers for keurig dont go arround asking for their gift receipts

why don't you clean your coffee maker
This is horrible. First-time I descaled it, it konked out. Followed the directions to a tee. Went online and found out so many people had the same problem. What a waste of money. I miss my old one
