  • www.mensstoryproject.org Hamid Bashir was born and raised in Pakistan, the youngest of four siblings, and came to the U.S. post 9/11 to pursue training in medicine and rheumatology. His
story, entitled "What Are They Going to Say About You?", is about making difficult choices and finding his own path while diverging from a traditional Pakistani way of life-yet finding common ground between Eastern and Western cultures.

I personally commend this guy to be standing up on stage and saying those words. It all sounds so familiar and courageous. Its not a choice, its not an option, its not unnatural, its not a disease. Its only the people who have made up those words, for what? in order to keep the culture and what the culture is going to say about it. Live and let live.

@@zedzed2625 Show me where? Quote me exactly the aayat that says that. Dont say it references, or indicates, or means, or talking about. Tell me where it 'says' like you are claiming. @@SalmanShaf so,] whenever they commit a shameful deed, they are wont to say, "We found our forefathers doing it," and, "God has enjoined it upon us." Say: "Behold, never does God enjoin deeds of abomination. Would you attribute unto God something of which you have no knowledge?
The people of Lut here are saying God made them born gay.
Behold never does God enjoin deeds of abomination - Allah does make people be born gay. Thus its a choice. Also Allah has reffered to it as abomination. AKA. Unnatural.
This one Verse has said. It's unnatural. AKA not born with it. Thus a choice. And Allah himself called it abomination. AKA fucking sick
Now show me In quran where being g gay is ok. Explain to me using FACTS how gay is a natural and not a choice.
Becuase if you are fucked by man. And say its not a choice. Then you are raped. Answer only my questions. Don't change the topic or try run and hidebb

Gay men have faced problems regardless of religious association or geography .. focus on yourself and try to be happy. Next time, dont bring my country or religion into your stories. Thank you

minhaj nasir Kindly educate yourself on how doctors and other highly educated individuals gain permanent residency in other countries. There is always some merit in seeking truth and drive oneself out of the darkness of ignorance. And I always encourage others to go out there, learn, travel and explore if possible. A stagnant mind only collects dust and rust. Peace out my friend.

How could he not bring his country and religion into it, when that is a major part of the problem - and still continues to be. It is a criminal offence in Pakistan, which is basically like saying it's a crime to be human. It always makes me laugh when people say it is a choice. Do you honestly think if presented with the choice, someone would choose the harder road? And I put this to you - if it is a choice, then you could also "choose" to be that way. Give it a try for a week, see how you go....
