Fell in love with this pedal, after seeing this video. Luckily a friend of mine had it and wasn't really using it at all; so I borrowed his. I love the ability to have "weird" pedal effects without have to commit to buying a single pedal for a effect you might use very little, like the 8 bit or mini synth. I wish I knew about this pedal much earlier. Also the new update is FANTASTIC.

I have the supernatural verb and 70CDR. I can get a great shimmer on both but the 70CDR can do so much more especially through 4 combinations . Yessirree! I needed a reverb pedal and bought a Zoom MS-50G from a starving college student (a good source of affordable used gear) about a year ago for $50.00 CAD. I still cannot believe my blind luck in stumbling onto this thing. I use it daily for both guitar and bass effects. With the last firmware update the options are pretty much limitless. It has a bit of a learning curve but it is worth it. A great piece of kit.

The MS 70 CDR is stereo out and stereo in and only has the Chorus / Modulation / Delay and Reverb stuff. That should work I guess! If you also need distortion in addition the MS 50G is the better solution. But you can just go in mono but stereo out.

    • @Tallukeah

I own the 70 CDR... It's been updated lately with new effects like Compressors. This pedal is a nice tool, but with a Boss ES-8 and a disaster area ghost converter, it is full midi controlable and it becomes absolutely unbeatable! Some sounds like shimmer or black hole are so cool, they sound exactly the same that their extensive models. You've got to give it Time to tweak it, but from a strictly sounds point of view, it is an amazing pedal which has no contenter in the market at this Time.

  • @alessandrosegurini2216
    @alessandrosegurini2216 6 лет назад +2

The 70 cdr is really great, considered the price. Tremendous value and very inspirational. I sold my H9 max which is nearly 10 times pricier; surely better quality, better a/da conversion, better bypass, BUT... in a live situation not so noticeable.....great tool!

I have the ms50g. I got it for rehearsals / jamming and have used it for gigs. It has some really good sounds. As with most effects units, many are over the top or harsh but some are great. Switching between sounds is not easy for a live gig (especially when singing so time to tweak on the fly is limited) so I have a Boss GT100. More flexible but 4 times the price and so far I don't like the sounds as much as the zoom, eg RAT drive for breaking up sounds on overdrive. I love the particle echo setting on this video, as mentioned in one of the other commentsFor some of the shows I do, string sounds and brass sounds would be really useful - you mentioned asking if we had any queries / ideas - so there you go. Thanks for the video, also for the one on upgrading the firmware :)

I bought that pedal just for Shoe Gaze. I looked at several Fender Jazzmaster guitars because of the unique tone. I did not like the quality. I built my own Jazzmaster with the best parts. I made the body on a friend's CNC machine. I did buy the neck and put my own ebony fret board on it. I wound the pickups and I did buy the hardware and locking tuners. Fender could not make a guitar of this quality. It plays like a dream and it sounds great. Now some people and friends want me to make them one I explain why it cost more than they have. You guys do great videos. Thank you

Don't forget the Zoom MS-100BT. It has a bluetooth connection and you can add additional effects via an iOS app. They used to sell them through the app, but are now available for free since May this year. It's stereo in and out.
It's probably the best buy from the Zoom MS series. I own a 70CDR and will probably get a 100BT to match, and build a hacked MIDI controller for them through the USB port - somebody did it, so it is possible. :)

I just bought the MS-100BT on ebay for 85,- EUR due to this video and your comment, Martin. It seems that the MS-100BT is discontinued which would explain why all the effects of the iOS app are free now.

Damn both over $100us used. I do want the ms-50g though, having that reverse reverb with dry signal plus a gated reverb

How are you stopping the initial attack on the chords at 12:27? I tried copying your settings but it sounds and responds way differently. Is there a volume pedal or a wet/dry setting somewhere? EDIT: Never mind, I needed to set the "MIX" setting on the Particle Reverb to 100.

Thanks for the video, and actually I'm gonna be visiting Berlin in January and looking for people to play with. I'll be bringing some pedals and my '63 Jag. Also looking for a girl singer as well :)

Thanks for the demonstration, really great what sounds this has. I'm getting my ms-50g on Sunday, for guitar and synths and my pocket operators, add some other worldliness to my songs. Thanks for reintroducing me and my girlfriend back to shoegaze, both of us are late 40s so were young when this genre was first about. I have a question about the pitch shifter or octave effect in the pedal, can you get a good bass guitar sound from a normal 6 string guitar?

Thank you so much for the lovely words I'm happy I could inspire you guys to check out a bit shoegaze related stuff again. :) I couldn't get good results for bass with the Zoom pedals. I highly recommend a Pitch Fork by EHX. It's the smallest and most stable pitch shifter I know so far.

I appreciate your advice :), I just saw your video about Zoom MultiStomp and it seemed very interesting, although I would not have liked it to be more shimmer effect, if you could help me a bit with this please, I'm addicted to the last slowdive album that came out in 2017 and researching I saw that the three guitars use the wetneunaber and that is why I hooked up to that high quality shimmer layer, now my question is: supernatural or the caverns (these two I can get them in 150dls) or zoom more -50 (I can get it in 100dls, I did not find the ms70) ??? or flat out to go for a wetneunaber of 230dls? considering that I already have the dihitechrv7. On the other hand as I buy some estiquers cat with tongue and like the one you have on your guitar cat with candy? I'm from Mexico City, thank you very much

Good video, as always! These pedals are extraordinary value for the money, so many good sounds! One sound which I haven't really found anywhere else (I guess it might be in the Old Blood Noise Endeavours Procession reverb) is the tremolo reverb, just such a gorgeous, classy effect.
Also, two questions: (1) are there any particularly good places in Berlin for shoegaze/related styles gigs and/or club nights? I'm going there in a week and would like to see if something of interest is happening.
    (2) I want one of the awesome shoegazer tshirts on your Bandcamp page, but I'm not sure about size! What size are you wearing in the example pictures? (I assume that's you)

Thank you so much. (1) If you are on Facebook, then have a look here: facebook.com/groups/berlinshoegazer/ (2) In the pictures on Bandcamp I'm wearing size S. It sits comfortable and quite tight. I personally would rather wear size M as it's looking a bit more loose and feels more cosy.

Two questions¿? #1 is there reverse delay on the CDR 70? #2 what's the track being played at the outro title screen with that distorted drum machine beat!?🎸🎹🎧💫😵👌👍 thank you!✌

Next pedal for sure, how is this so cheap. I had just one question, do you think plugging this into a modelling amp with no effects loop (not using the on-board effects of course). Would give me decent tone out of this?

Hey man new subscriber here! love your videos! I just got a Digidelay but when I use it the tone of my guitar seems kind of thinner, have you experience that with digitech stuff? and I´ve been thinking about getting a RAT clone for my ditortion do you recommend that? and when it comes to reverb I´ve seen people selling behringer digital reverb and a mooer shimverb but none seem to convince me :´v what should I do man? I´m broke and I need answers :´´´v. (you´re videos and sound are awesome btw)
