I’ve said this before. This pedal is a boutique pedal killer. It may not measure up to expensive pedals with straight forward fx but as a creative box it’s better than many of these wild and crazy boxes that are selling for 300 or more.
Thank you for sharing this. You video is well done and helps me see how serious a tool this pedal is (for keyboard for me). I like your taking the time to put a reference sound in and clearly mark it. You also play very well.
Your demos are so lovely :) me and my partner have a running gag that everyone who demos guitars or pedals is a crap player but you done proved me wrong 😂
I love mine as a fly rig or convenient practice or songwriting tool. The sounds are great! The DSP limitations on some of the ambient stuff can be annoying though!
@@Brendan-Black if you do the firmware update, you get an expanded amp and effects library. Some really nice studio and ambient verbs and delays. But you often find once you pair them up with an amp you quickly reach the units DSP limit and stops you adding any more effects to the chain. In theory it supports up to six simultaneous blocks/effects but with some combinations that is sometimes reduced to two or three.
I figured how to install. That wasn't too hard. The only criticism I'd give for the effects are that they some have a lag after strumming that makes timing kind of hard, if your trying to match up with a drum effects. But I basically just saved around $350 by not buying a new rev pedal(like a Strymon or Walrus) and just updating my zoom. Thanks Do Noise and Zoom!
I have the original version that came out years ago and I love it. But I found most of the patches are too overly saturated with effects all you got to do is tweak them down to get better note definition if that's what you're looking for. It actually would be cool to run your guitar into a splitter so you can have the bulk of the clean guitar signal that could still be modified with some effects going to its own channel and the other portion of the signal coming in behind it thru this pedal and even use a volume pedal to swell in the effect to add more versatility and control over your sound.
Just bought it to stick in the loop of a EHX superego. That shoe gaze sound is too good though for just static pads, now in a bit of a dilemma. This and a volume pedal could be very interesting. Going to have to have a rethink

I have the Zoom-70CDR. I updated to the latest firmware as well. I used your imgur.com/a/vlKFHN1 site images and programmed the CDR manually. For the Theremin/ DualDigiD the "Depth" states 100, but I can only program M-0 through M-50 and S-0 through S-50. The same is true of Fractions/ DualDigiD as well. RandDlyVrb / A-Pan DLY has a width of 50, but I only have these options: L50-1 a 0 or R1-50. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! :)
M and S refer to mono and stereo so depending on your setup, you can set it to M or S 50 for maximum depth. I’m not sure about how you should set the Pan Delay width but you can just set it to taste and it should be fine.
