That “Unkenny” riff is absolutely amazing!
ty for turning me on to the zoom hack - i own a g1on and an old g3 and i love both of them . i added 35 effects to my g1 and wrote some new patches using them so it was super cool . thanks
Great video! My favorites were "Multiverse", "Goodzilla" and "Unkenny". Great to see you posting so much interesting stuff!
I'm still in love with my MS50G pedal
Very creative and inspiring! I want to explore this wonderful pedal more. The potential is crazy! ❤😊❤😊❤
Szukałem kompaktowych i nie drogich efektów do moich syntezatorów. Twoje demo sprawiło, że kupię wszystkie trzy. Bardzo fajne demo, dzięki 👍
Multiverse sounds amazing with a great muff
Dudeee the godzilla sounds awesome.
I bought the ms70 last week gonna try on!
I've been using the MS70 (hacked) for the entirety of my other band's (Color Crush) EP we just finished putting out. Such a killer pedal. My only complaint is it can sound a tad bit metallic sometimes.
I think so too. It's a little metallic sometimes. But still a great little helper.
It helps to use a colored pedal like an EP booster or Mooer Yellow comp after at a subtle setting.
I've just listened to you guys and i must tell you guys that your vocals and tunes go pretty off tone
now i can say that yeah even distorted vocals go dreamy lyrics which goes completely opaque but somehow those still sooth you and rain all the terrains
but i think you guys should take a look back at your melodies
@@anubisreincarnated5046 are you talking about our other band, Color Crush? Who are you referencing?
@@timoratus_music yeah color crush
Man, that MS-70CDR sounds awesome, you motivated me to get one!
Wow! Just thank you for this.
You're very welcome!
Thank you !
Omg..."Multiverse" is PERFECT!!!!
Thanks for the awesome video on the Zoom Multistomps! Can the MS-60B be used with a guitar and still sound the same as an MS-50G with the same effects/presets on each of those units?
Great demo 😊
What are the differences b/w zoom ms-70cdr vs ms-50g? Which one should we buy if our budget is enough for only one zoom pedal? Thanks!
Oh man, i will love if you make a video about the zoom g1on, is pretty much close to the multistomp, but don't have some effects, i say what you do if you have a very small amp, or just a video about how you use a little amp, how to make this sound good with fuzz, thank you
How do you like the reverse and gated reverbs of the Zoom multistomps compared to the Hardwire RV-7? Love that you’re posting often!! my favorite youtube channel has always great stuff to show off. Great job Kenneth Shields (;
Thank you so much! I'm not a Shields and will never be one. :) Inspiring guy though. The reverse and gated reverb are a little thinner and sound a bit more "metallic" compared to my RV7 but I think in front of distortion they work really good! And they are still the best sounding / affordable alternative in my ears.
I definitely agree! What you get for the money with these zoom pedals is amazing, the sound is great. Love your videos (;
Hi! Great video!
One thing, I tried Yoshimitsu with the same settings but my sound is completely different, do you know why? Because I don't know anything about pedals and so on hahaha
Thanks❤️
the stargazer one sounds incredible
Hello I'm your new subscriber from the Philippines and I do make my own music. I've really learned a lot from your vlog .. Now I need to decide what effects I should buy the MS50g or the M70cdr.. Yes I'm into shoegaze as well ..
Start with the MS 50 and you have everything you need to experiment with sounds. :) Thank you for the nice comment.
excelente, saludos desde Bolivia
You gained a subscriber. :)
Thinking about buying one of these bad boys, for modulation effects for synths/guitar as well as pres and amp sims for bass. Which of these is most hack friendly for this purpose?
Thank you for joinig! 🙏 So happy you like my content. I'd always recommend the 70CDR as is has a stereo input and worked great and easily with the hack.
@@berlinshoegazer thank you :)
Any thought on the Valeton gp-100?
thank *YOU*
You're welcome!
What application are you using to change the pedal settings on your computer? That would make everything so much easier when first setting up. Thanks!
I'm trying to figure it out aswell, what's the software used to edit the patches?
@@linoeventual i believe tonelib

Hi!!! one question. For your taste, how it sound for you putting a distortion, overdrive, fuzz, any kind pedal that u like before ms-70cdr??? sounds good or...
I don't know, a distortion pedal then the ms-70cdr with a BIG reverb for a shoegaze tone, sounds good?
I ask you this cause u know, the zoom pedal is a digital one so...
Hi there. Digital does not mean that the sound of the fuzz (or any other pedal) will sound bad after you send it through the pedal or anything. Digital sound is often more accurate and clean than analog and offers more sound possibilities on tinier devices. But the clean thing is what some people do not like so much compared the the character of analog gear. I personall love analog distortion combined with digital modulation and reverbs the most. So if you run distortion through that pedal and put on delay or any long reverb, it sounds really good imo.
Hey man! i was wondering if the number of effects slots increased on the ms60b after the mod? i cant find the ms50g on my country, on the contrary it seems there are a lot of ms60bs here haha, so i think ill just get one of those.
As far as I understand the ms60b has a less powerful processor, so the limit would remain. I may be wrong though.
Hey.. awesome video... Subscribed. Can I use the ms 50g for bass guitar?
Thank you. I used it for bass. But if you need bass specialised effects you might need the unofficial 1.1.1 effects manager.
@@berlinshoegazer thank you brother ❤️🙏🏼
is there a way to use it with headphones? like, i thought i would be able to just plug my headphones to the output when i first got it. now im thinking on getting one of those mooer micro amps, or that mooer audiofile preamp that has a headphone out. at least while i save up enough to get the amplifier i want.
Yes... I use mine with a dual stereo cable output into a headphone amplifier which has a 3.5mm output for my headphones... Her is a similar link,
ruclips.net/video/ZicAuJYlEhU/видео.html
Enjoy
will it work on a zoom g1on?
how to record stereo using the 70 cdr?
Niiice! What program do you use to edit the pedal patches on the PC?
It's called ToneLib and it's free.
@@berlinshoegazer Im new to guitar so please correct me if I am wrong about anything but do you think its possible to play the GOODZILLA setting on an electric guitar?? I don't have a bass but love some of those sounds and I was wondering if i could still use that pedal for my guitar? Thanks! great video!!
Can you test something please? I'm can't play my MS50g now but I'm trying to find something like the Boss HM2 on the MS50g and I saw this:
[ --- BOSS HM-2 (chainsaw) --- ]*
OverDrive: Gain: 100; Tone: 80; Lvl: 100
ParaEQ: Freq 1: 80hz; Q1: 0.5; Gain1: 10; Freq 2: 250hz; Q2: 4; Gain2: 0; lvl: 150
ParaEQ: Freq 1: 1Khz; Q1: 2; Gain1: 9; Freq 2: 250hz; Q2: .5; Gain2: -12; Lvl: 150
St Gt GEQ: 2, -8, 3, -4, 0, 0, 100
... Can you test and show it it for us please? I see that the Hm2 works better before a slight or crunch sounds, so maybe the level on the "Overdrive" can be 0 ... also you can test with the DIST 1 that is based on the DS1 and the DS1 cranked before a crunch sound can sound like a Swedish Death Metal or the Squeak one and the 7 band EQ that we can use with the hack.
Thanks! Hope this can be sufficient interesting for you.
Whats the best for modulation
Have you tried using the MS-60B on guitar?
is there a way to do the hack in a Mac OS environment (MacBook Pro or Air)?
no i believe its only on windows
Does tonelib also work with the hacked version of the MS70?
It does not recognize the extra fx that were added with the hack. But on reddit you can find some shoegaze presets made by other musicians and they all use an online editor that should work with the hack.
That MAJ7DREAM at 4:51 😍🥰🎶
Is there editing software available for these Zoom pedals?
I use ToneLib.
These pedals have a hack to chague effects between them, And the same with the zoom g1on Ana g1xon
Hey i was thinking about buying the ms70cdr or ms50g, does the ms50g have reverse and gated reverb as well? Or would i be better off to just use the bitcrush or my Big muff for distortion/fuzz and use the ms70cdr for my reverb and delay pedal. Because i want to have a kevin shields / unkenny sound. Thanks
Both, the ms70cdr and the ms50g have the same reverse reverb and gated reverb that are quite usable. At the moment the zoom pedals are the only affordable pedals that have both reverb effects - next to the very good sounding Digitech/Hardwire RV7 (but this one is very expansive now)
@@berlinshoegazer Thank you for the reply! Im gonna buy the ms50g because i dont really need the stereo in and out that the ms70cdr has and i would rather have more distortions as well. Great video as well i love these presets and i will definitely use them :)
8:50 sounds just like the effects used on The Prime Time of Your Life by Daft Punk
Where can I find these presets?
Hi Kenneth. Is possible do this on a zoom g1 four? thanx a lot for all your tips!!
Unfortunitily not, I fear. Since I made this video it has gotten harder to make the hack working on an of these pedals unless you have a very old version of the Zoom MS pedals. :/
@@berlinshoegazer Thanx very much Kenneth for answer me. By the way, your channel is always a inspiring. I big hug!
@@radheserey5502 Thank you so much. Makes me super happy if it inspires other musicians to create exciting sounds.
How about the quality of the tuner on the ms-70. ??
Solid
when interconnecting them (ms50g>ms70cdr) what output selection should be selected (line, staco, combo)?? to avoid digital distorsion
I think you need to lower the output volume of the previous one, because they're calibrated for instrument input (not line levels)
@@dwsel thanks a lot man! regards
Whilst the default setups are different, the latest firmware makes most of the effects interchangeable between these three, but the 70 CDR has more memory for patches and concurrent effects.
do you mean zoom firmware or the hack?
Should I get the ms50g or the 70-cdr? Id rather get the new one but Its disappointing that It doesn’t come with overdrive, distortion or fuzz sounds
Then I'd recommend the MS 50 G. It has lots of distortions, reverbs and delays.
@@berlinshoegazer Well then it’s settled, thanks man
Hi, what is the program for adjusting the sound to Zoom?
Do you mean Tonelib?
Could you safely use the blue one with bass?
Yes, I do it all the time at it works great. If you want to set up eqs you just have to remember that it's set up for the guitar frequency spectrum. But you can twist these eqs for bass as well.
Can one join Patreon for just one month or is there a longer commitment?
Hey Frank, you can join for how long you like. One month is still a support. :) Thanks for considering.
do they have cabinet simulators?
Yes. I guess between 4 or 6.
you have to do a video on sounding like Sonic Youth
I rarely listen to them. :) But I like the mood of their music. I guess it's better to make videos about bands and artists that I actually listen to. But maybe - someday - it gets me - and I do it. :)
i love the unkenny effect but for some reason when i tried it the bitcrush made everything silent 😦
means there wasn't enough signal going into it. try boosting your signal into the ms-70 when using it
@@joeliszr ah thank you
