In this video you'll learn 3 tips for choosing a sleeping bag liner. Here are the key tips:
    Tip #1: Mummy Vs Rectangular
Mummy style are typically used in a sleeping bag. Rectangular can be used in a sleeping bag or on its own.
    Tip #2: Fabric Choice
Typically the options will be silk, cotton, fleece, synthetic or insulated.
Tip #3: Decide On The Purpose
Your choice may depend on the type of activity you need the liner for. For example if you are hiking in summer, a liner alone, without a sleeping bag, might be sufficient.

No mention of silk in the video for preventing bed bugs at hiker hostels, auberges, alberges, gites, shelters etc. Silk is the best material for repelling/ preventing bed bugs.

Great vid. Looking to backpack. 3 season. No winter. Have a 20 degree Z packs mummy bag. Thinking a bag liner that would help add warmth in cooler months. And offset the heat in the summer. Would you go with Silk, or a silk cotton blend. Was thinking sea to summit, but open to options. thanks.

If you have the budget, I would recommend Silk. It's more breathable in summer and helps insulating in winter. It's also lighter.
However, if you are on a tight budget, the silk-cotton blend is a great option too.
