You use open diffs for maneuverability. Are you going to use an open center diff as well? I think you have a great channel and I always look forward to the next episode. Keep up the good work!
Yes, I do subscribe to Casey LaDell and I'm quite impressed with that Zack lift and reason he that he got it and the truck he did. . This is going to be the coolest (showing age) build so far. I think you should call your lift the WAF LIFT cuz you can. Maybe have your lady friend do a Waffel aproved paint job. Brushless motor IMO would be better than brushed with the weight it will be moving. How about a lowboy trailer with rear steer. OK, so maybe over the top but, like you say "why not". Keep up the good work and RC on!!!
Ya I really hope it will look good at the end. I'm going to take my time on this to make sure that it is. As long as it looks right when hauling the 1/10 scales, I'll be really happy
8/32 tap and die with 1/8” rode make a bevel before cutting threads with the 8/32 die. Buy bags of traxxas rod ends use flat pliers to hold before pressing the link ball in run it with a 8/32 bottom tap in your drill. And you’ll have any kind of link Length etc. the ends will be easily serviceable when needed. This is cool I don’t build much at all just enjoy driving with my boys but really enjoy watching what you and your lady are doing here. Congrats on your award winning Yota!!!
On the xmaxx steering get the heavy duty spring & get a longer screw & a Lockhead nut & tighten it down so it doesn't loosen on you. Can't wait to see the finished result of the semi!
I’m in the middle of a custom project rc4wd k10 snowplow/work truck cut the frame behind the cab and extended it 6inches then installed a flatbed from my cen f450 definitely gonna be a fun project
I also build my own chassis, but it's quite complicated to weld the parts and get everything aligned. I use parts from HSP 94111 to make my differentials for the chassis. I'm building a chassis to put in a new bright 1/6
I used a 4 output divorced transfer box like a Russian truck does on my 6x6 build and an Axial 3 gear gearbox just using one output to the transfer box .one output to front diff. second output to the front rear axle and the third output and a carrier bearing to the rear axle diff like the real Ural trucks .the first output is the input from the gearbox..
Love the drawing they look like my blueprints😂 i have been wanting to build a rotator at some point when i get my shop built back from the storm. So im looking foward to more videos.
As always, very good work and I love the project. I made a truck in 1/14 more or less based on the Kenworth, Freightliner, Mack and some mythical and old model, I wanted something that was customized to my taste and as always in metal, I do not have the level that you have and I weld with electrode but we both do rc in metal although I only upload photos of the process, I would like to know your opinion of the truck I made and the tractor scale 1/10 more or less that I am finishing now since you understand well all the work that is behind a construction in welded metal, I would appreciate it very much, I am not saying that you subscribe or give me a like that I would love but what I would appreciate most is to know your opinion, a hug friend and keep it up, I love watching your videos 👍😊💪😜👋
Love all your builds man great work! Can I make a suggestion for your next build?? You should build a mega mud truck I bet it would be awesome. Basically the same as the crawler just more lift, more speed and some big fling king tires! Not to mention it would look awesome on your hauler. I got inspiration from watching your builds and I built a 1/16 scale mega truck from a bunch of spare parts I had except the 1.9 fling king tires I bought. Water proofed everything so I can submerge it. It's definitely fun to mess around with wish I could share a pic
Yes! A worthy opponent for the Twinsteer! Just kidding, they're very different types of big rigs. Any inspiration from Sac Valley RC Fest to start this build by any chance I wonder? Having made a very heavy 1/10 scale semi truck using Ryft axles and transfer cases I can already think of some things you might run into with it, very interested to see how you navigate the challenges a build this scale and weight will bring.
For simplicity, I am just going to run super singles. Later, I might step it up to duals but it all depends on looks. I don't want the back to stick out super far
Ha ha your cad made me laugh
Good luck on this build sir. And I am looking forward to seeing the out come.
Glad I’m not the only one who wants a 1/10 scale semi. Currently building one to.
My neighbor built one of the tamiyas, says he's about $2000 into it. I'm willing to bet both you and Waffles spend less on your larger customs.
@@BadgerBishop Having built a custom 1/10 scale big rig I cant say I'd be too sure about staying under that $2k...
Love that you're starting to build another project really excited that it's a semi cuz I would like to build one too but I want to make a car hauler

This is gonna be another coool build
This is excellent, man. Super excited to see everything about it. If you're taking suggestions for the paint, I have a thought :)
I have not thought of paint just yet. I do know I want to do it nice this time and not patina like the hauler. Definitely open to ideas!
@@WafflesRC-pb4nt I'm envisinoing a black body with a TransAM-style bird over the hood :D
I too want a semi but like yourself am disappointed in 1/14 scale, can't wait for more vids. Thanks for sharing

Oh Boy were are in for a lot of fun, I am in on this build, my Friend all the way.
Those are some sweet renders
Looking forward to this my friend and because of you I’ve just started my own build! Watching from the UK 🇬🇧
Such a cool build. Looking forward to more build videos.
Thank you very much!! In the next one I'll get more work in and less talking haha
❤
awesome cad work man. keep it up bud! love the videos.
Dam this is going to be awesome 👌 build 👏 I really look forward to these videos thanks for sharing 👍 😀

This gonna be an epic build, cant wait to see it fully done.
I like your crazy idea 😂😂
Sweet gonna be cool when it's done looks good 👍 👌 so far....
To save money on the drive shaft from transfer case to rear idler bearing, i just use 2 universal joints i had on solid rod! Worked great!
Probably a rock in the steering area
Dude, that is so sick, I am super pumped up to see this get built ❤🎉
I'm so glad ya truck building is so much better than ya drawings 😅😂
Hahahaha me too!!!!
This is gonna be a sick build. Can’t wait to see it completed

Had the same thing going on with my x-maxx I upgraded the servo saver with a metal hot racing one springs a little tighter
Love the drawing they look like my blueprints😂 i have been wanting to build a rotator at some point when i get my shop built back from the storm. So im looking foward to more videos.
My only input for now is the new hobbywing axe motor bigger for that rig and should have enough power and save space

Look at a cross RC jt6 transfer case. They run independent driveshafts to each axle
Semi’s have air bags!😂 Are ya gonna make it crawl with those links? 🤣🤘🏼
Some run leafs and some don't have springs at all, just a beam and rubber bushings.
@@BlueDually4x4 I’m talking about the real thang! I would like you to build one with air systems! 😜

How about putting the transfer case between the two rear axles and rotate one around to face each other. Just flip diff to get right rotation?

Airbag suspension
Nice :) I am building 10th scale 8x8 MB Arocs (mainly because here in europe we can get the cab from some big toys by LENA and they're +/- 10th scale)
sounds like your xmaxx needs the upgraded servo saver (stiffer spring)
I just put the stiffer on in and it still does it. I'm going to dig deeper into it and see what I did wrong.
what size tires are you going to run on it
You didn't want to go with leaf springs
The C500 is a good choice. Are you going to run duals or just monster super singles like some of the logging or oil field trucks run?
For simplicity, I am just going to run super singles. Later, I might step it up to duals but it all depends on looks. I don't want the back to stick out super far
How do i join for the membership
