    Hi Yaro, I love your videos! Very informative!
    As Covid-19 situation still going on, do you see the shortage has been massively improved? As in demand for pilot has dropped significantly from a regional perspective?
    I am considering to start my flying school in 2021. Preferably location will be Alberta and Manitoba or may be Newfoundland...hvnt decided yet (I watched your another video, planing to go for visit a few flying when the virus situation starts easing a bit)
    Do you think becoming a Flight instructor still a possible way to earn the hours? Then flying the regional, eventually getting into international airlines...Looking forward to hearing from you! Massive thanks as always!

    Hey Yaro! You are awesome as usual! Great to see new Canada-specific, up-to-date content coming out! As you know, I am a long time subscriber and follower of your channel.
    After a long wait, I just got my Transport Canada medical, Yay!!, and will now finally be able to start the conversion process of my FAA Commercial and Instrument certificates, so that I can start Flight Instructor training here in Canada. I already have close to 450 hours, so it should not be too long before I become eligible for the regionals in Canada (keeps fingers crossed 😂 ). And I will be joining your Patreon soon!!
    Just had a quick question for you. I went to the career sections of Jazz and Encore websites and their "requirements" seem quite demanding, which does not seem to jive with this pilot shortage thing! For example, Jazz says you need 100 hours of Multi-Engine time at the minimum, and strongly prefers 100 hours of Multi-Crew TURBINE experience. How can a normal person working as a flight instructor be expected to have this??
    And for Encore, I believe they said, something like 250 Multi and also some turbine experience! Is this just "nice to have", but they will still consider your application, or do they just discard your application if you don't have this experience? By sharp contrast, the regionals in the US will hire you, if you walk into their office, and have a pulse!! 😂
    Thanks for your response!!

    • @AviatorInspirations
      @AviatorInspirations  4 года назад +1

      Congratulations on your medical!
      Yes, requirements on “paper” and real life don’t always mean the same thing. All companies will “prefer” for you to have multi-engine time etc, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance without it. Alternatively, you can also get a multi-engine job, like charter or medevac, and skip the regionals. Once you have over 2000hrs go straight to WJ or AC.
      Keep hustling, and I’m sure you will be flying somewhere in no time!

    • @747-pilot
      @747-pilot 4 года назад +1

      @@AviatorInspirations Thanks Yaro! That explains it all! I think I will try my best to go the usual "regionals to mainline" route. Otherwise, as you said, there are always those alternatives! Good to know!

    • @AviatorInspirations
      @AviatorInspirations  4 года назад +1

      Seems like a relatively new school, but they don’t have clear pricing listed anywhere, so I’m sure there is a catch somewhere. All schools have almost the same expenses, so they cannot magically offer training for super cheap. Without going there and talking to someone, I cannot confidently say they are going to charge you “extra” fees, so it’s not going to be cheap.

    @SustainaBIT 3 года назад

    Hi mr. aviator :) .. I have some few but small questions maybe the general public would have as well..
    - I'm sorry if the first question look stupid but it goes like this: If I get a recreational license, would simply flying more hours get me to be a ppl licensed person?,, or shall I still register into an academy to get it?
    - 2nd question is about the regions, does getting a license allow me to use it in every country?, if not where does one find information about such?
    - and finally it comes all to using this license, I'm passionate about aviation and would like to take it as a hobby, now the things is that I won't be able to afford the ownership cost of airplane, and would be looking for affordable ways to rent an airplane, is this is a thing??
    and Finally, thank you a loooot for your informative content and the effort you put into this channel :)

    • @AviatorInspirations

      Hi John, welcome! Well my first recommendation is to watch through my channel and get educated on the career. My channel basically takes you from the start to working as a pilot and what you can expect in this career. Then, I would make a financial plan. Either save up enough money to finish each section (PPL, then multi-IFR, then CPL), or figure out financing (I will have a future video on that). Then decide if you want to do a modular vs integrated program (I have a video on that).

      @@AviatorInspirations As soon as you see those 2 and 10 year yield rates cross it's only 12-18 months until a recession, which happened mid 2019.
      Given I'm 36 now and I'd be battling against returning pilots in 2-3 years, I doubt I have a chance hahaha

    True predictions and airlines are slowing their pipelines for new pilots. First in first out of a job. Stay safe and don't catch Chinese Flu!
