About this video:
In this video Yaro from Aviator Inspirations talks about international pilot training in canada. Pilot training abroad, international pilot academy, and cheap pilot training can be accomplished in Canada. Flight training in canada is affordable, and starting your pilot career here can give you a great start. Pilot training philippines, pilot training in china, and pilot training malaysia is difficult, and international student in canada can accomplish this easier.
Share other flight schools that you have had good experiences with!
What college did you go to?
I did all my flight training at the boundary bay airport in Vancouver
thank you soooo much for this video its great and so clear and full of good and useful infos , if i have around 40000 us dollars where is the best place to start my aviation study ?
I don’t know think any school can finish all your training in $40k, unless you can get a loan for the remainder
One can't make a precision on the costs as you may accumulate more costs as a result of flight tests failure and similar scenarios, besides u should also consider your living costs and lodging
Thank you very much brother

For pilot training purpose !i need to ask some questions from experience person!

Haha good man 😁
Nice video. It's nice to know how Canada does things differently than here in the U.S. Well done! :)
Thanks 😁! What differences are there in the US?
@@AviatorInspirations In a way, every flight school and airline is different. Some airlines require a certain amount of flight hours for them to hire you, and some require less. In my opinion, Canadian Air Traffic Controllers are more calm and polite than American ATC. Maybe it's because the US have more flights per day, and there are so many planes flying in every part of the US, it can be hard to handle a load of them. A big difference is that you guys handle the weather better than we do. If it snows even an inch at any airport, almost every single plane needs to get de-iced (If they stayed at the airport overnight) I've even seen a flight get delayed up to 9 hours before. Winter time can be a very stressful and annoying season for the U.S. when it comes to flying.
That’s very interesting, but I guess it makes sense with your 10x the population of ours lol. I’m starting 737 training next month so I’ll be doing lots of US flying and experience things first hand. Your at delta? We have the joint agreement with you guys👍🏻
@@AviatorInspirations I love the 737, awesome aircraft. I'm currently not a pilot with Delta but that is the one airline I really want to work with and I've flown with them so many times. Currently doing baby steps - flew a piper with an instructor and before you know it, I'll be in the cockpit of a major US airline!
That’s great 😁 good luck on your journey!!

That is a really great video. Doing training from DLI means you get a Post Graduate Work Permit which gives you a work visa as per your study duration. I personally have talked to many international students who later became PR holders and moved to Canada. Please throw some light on post training work chances as a international pilot and also how much time will it take to recover cost of your pilot training. Thanks a ton for informative and crisp content!

Thank you so much brother ❤️

You’re welcome 👍🏻
It should be noted that some flight schools have waiting lists for wannabe pilots. Vancouver Island has a waiting list of potentially a year
Yes that is very true! Thanks for the contribution 👍🏻
Why? Are they out of instructors?
Yes because they are all leaving at 1000hrs to the regionals
CFC is a good aviation school which has the atpl program. The third-year student will work as an instructor to gain enough hours to get the ATPL.
That’s great to know! Thanks for the input👍🏻. Does everyone qualify for a flight instructor job or what’s their policy?
Yea. It would be nice of you give more information. After cpl + instructor, will i be working as an instructor ?
Yes everyone is qualified to become a class 3 instructor. Therefore ATPL is a 3years program. It's a good program for international student but not for locals. In this program, students will get ppl Cpl muti if night and class 4,3 instructor or. After 3years when students get 1500hours they can get at.
Normally flight schools will not guarantee you a job, but yes with a CPL + instructor rating you should not have a problem finding a teaching job, as instructors are in high demand right now!

CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ON THE CFI COURSE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WANT TO BECOME A PILOT IN CANADA??
Hello. I would like to know more about job opportunities in Quebec. The Companies use to require French to get a job as a pilot there? I`m a Commercial Multi IFR, Brazilian living in Winnipeg, fluent in English and starting my French. I really wanna move to Montreal but I didn`t find trustable information about that. What do you know about this annoying question?
Yes Montreal is all French, and they don’t like people who only speak English unfortunately. Lots of other opportunities in other provinces other than Quebec.
Yaro, I am just getting started with private pilot training in the US but will be spending a few months in Quebec this summer. I am just doing private then ifr and have no plans do cli or commercial.
I expect to get the certificate under the FAA and have gotten conflicting info on if I can have a Canadian CFI sign hours towards my training. I am assuming that they can not -- which is OK since I will easily cover the 40 hour minimum with the US-based CFI and the Quebec instruction will be additional and to keep learning for the 2+ months I am in Quebec.
Do you have any feedback of guidance on this plan?
Thanks!
Hi Miles! That’s an interesting question, and although I’ve never had personal experience with this, I want to lean as well to NO, your hours will not count. If you want to get a definitive answer, send transport Canada & the FAA an email with this question and see what they say. It’s been a while since I instructed and maybe things have changed. Other than that, the plan is great👍🏻 because you will be further ahead if you don’t pause your training for 2months.
Unfortunately I got trained in Vancouver where there is only rain and cloud
The Flight school in Phoenix, Arizona is so good!
Are you talking about AeroGuard?

And also can you plz let me know if there are aviation schools where I can finish gr12 and then just join that schools higher branch to start with my training or we have to finish grade12 in a normal school then join an aviation for the training?
did you just ignore Newfoundland & Labrador? I thought Gander is famous in the aviation industry.
NO! Im from KENYA
Hello there, I'm an Indian and I'm panning to enroll in a Canadian flying school (Select Aviation) next year which is like a college (a diploma degree would be given at the end of the course) that would give me a 3 year work permit after I finish their course. if I do 'exceptionally' good, the flight instructor rating would be given by them for free of cost and allegedly make you a FI in the same college (That's their claim but I've seen students of that college being a FI). I'm aware that the Canadian flying system is different from the Indian one (DGCA) and I'm also aware that I would require around 1500 hours to be eligible for an airline job in Canada unlike India where they start hiring you as soon as you're done with your CPL. I prefer this path so that I could get a good exposure and get my hands on tons of airplanes cause it's the journey that matters.
So my questions are: 1) is it a good path?
2)Is it worth investing on ground school here in India before moving there so that I could have a good knowledge about aviation?
PS: I'm also a computer engineer graduate.
Hey there! Looks like you have done good research and yes your plan is good👍🏻. I wouldn’t spend any money in formal ground school in India because you don’t want the Canadian instructors fixing bad habits if the training isn’t the same. However, you can do lots of reading on your own, learn about meteorology and flight instruments etc.
Make a video of the Ethiopian airline plane crash
That is not the content type I create, besides it’s unprofessional to speculate on an on going investigation
The estimate amount that you gave was it in Canadian dollars or in US dollars??
Also the video was very helpful thank you
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO CPL FROM VANCOUVER? ANY ROUGH ESTIMATE PLEASE?
thanks for sharing, can i ask you guys some question? how much for paying at school pilot when we are an international student ?
Hi 🙂,I hope you are doing well. could you please tell me which pilot school is good ?, except for those pilot school which are located in British Columbia and Vancouver and cabeq
Good day sir, so I’ve done my initial training in the U.S. I currently stand with FAA PPL and IR with having completed all my written tests. I wanted to know what process is it that I have to undergo to continue my flight training in Canada as well as instructing to work my way into the airlines. I often get confused between what they call modular or integrated courses, because I’ve reached half way through my training and I don’t know if they will accept that I finish off from where I started or if I’ll have to do the whole training again. Also would the program of getting a commercial and instructor license sufficient to get a work permit as a flight instructor or should I search for a diploma of some sort to be enrolled in a designated program, I am however planning to get a PR in the long road, so I just wanted to ask whether getting a PR right away would be the best bet or to go with a work permit first. Thank you for your time and I apologize for the long question.
Why did you start training in the US vs Canada in the first place, and why do you want to switch countries? US airlines pay a lot more than in Canada, and you have more companies to choose from. If you are set on moving to Canada then you have to convert your license. First contact transport Canada, and they will tell you the process. You will have to pass the written and flight test exams in Canada as part of the conversion.
To get a student visa, you have to be enrolled in a DLI, but you don’t have to do the whole integrated course, I believe you can do it as modular (I have a video on it, so check it out). But I’m not totally certain, so you have to contact the schools directly. To work, few schools will sponsor a work visa, so PR will be your best option. If the flight school is desperate enough for instructors, then they might consider it.
Aviator Inspirations Thanks for the reply! I started off in the U.S. because of the many good reviews I’ve heard about flight training in Florida, and thats where I have trained, and I won’t say otherwise, it’s been a good time flying there experiencing different conditions, weather etc. I however with little aviation knowledge got myself into a flight school that (without mentioning names) ripped me off and gave me a very very bad experience, bad management, bad pedagogical skills, and it goes on. So I left the flight school, went back home as I’m not a U.S. citizen.. it’s been a year now and I’ve been thinking of starting off fresh and somewhere new, even if I plan to go to the US, I have no idea where to go and where I can (not completely assure myself because it nearly never happens) but atleast get proper and efficient flight training.. I’ve been looking up Canada and have been wondering what it’s like there. I found a few things that I find helpful like weather conditions and cost etc but I’m still digging into where I actually wanna finish my flight training. In the end, I could care less about how much I’m paid.. I just wanna keep doing what I love and fly :(.
@@Cocosrs hey myself misbah .

are there any Scholarships that Are available in the aviation Colleges..And apply and Get in the aviation Colleges ?.. what are the criteria..?
Good video sir but I have a question what if I want to complete my training over there and work in a regional airline as a pilot I'm an international student. As an Indian national how can I apply for airlines after training over there in Canada.....

#Aviator_Inspirations What about the Waterloo-Wellington Flight Program offered by the University of Waterloo? Is it good enough and worth it?
is there any cadet program in this world that gives the training for free to international applicants then starts deducting everything from the pilot's salary once he or she starts the service?
Thanks for sharing this video, it's really helpful.
I have a question that after completing the training, could a person get a flying job there or he has to return back to his country?
Great question! To get a job in Canada the next step is to get a work visa, otherwise yes you would have to return to your country.
@@AviatorInspirations Thanks for a prompt reply. Ok let's suppose i get work visa after training, what are the job prospects, can one easily get a job or its a struggle?
The first job is always a challenge, regardless if you are an international pilot or local. Check out my video on finding your first pilot job. The jobs are out there, it’s up to each individual pilot to go and find them
Usman Azmat
It is a struggle...You need to be a permanent resident as a minimum for a small company. For any decent size airline you need citizenship!
Nobody is going to get insurance and background check on you without those!
There are some school offer job if we do flying courses from them then they give work permit that's true or not?
Hi, thanks a lot for all the information. I am wondering if the international students are able to find jobs in the airline companies? Do they mind if you don't hold a canadian passport?
Nobody can work in Canada without a work visa (hard to get) or being a permanent resident

Is Moncton flight collage a DLI ?
Do any one know schools which offer cpl and bsc aviation simultaneously
Hey! I hope you're having a great day! All your videos are awesome and I've benefited sooooo much from them! I am from India and would like to do my flight training in Canada. Does CAE in Toronto or Vancouver take in students from India? Is CAE a recognised flight training school in Canada? It seems to be a big shot in Europe...
I don’t believe CAE trains new pilots, they provide simulator services to companies. You have to follow the instructions in my international pilot training video to get a student visa and find a school.
Aviator Inspirations Thank you for your feedback. I have checled out your video and it was indeed helpful. Thanks a ton!!!!!!!! Great job!!
CAE program in canada is only for Canadian citizens and permanent residents
I'm 28 and considering starting learning aviation. My end goal is airlines but by the time I'd be done with my ATPL, I'd be 32ish. Do airlines have an unsaid policy of not hiring candidates of that age?
32 is still young and no there is no unsaid policy in North America. If you meet the qualifications you will get the job 👍🏻
The professional flight centre is this DLI?
As I'm Nepalese students, I wanna do pilot training in Canada
Hi, i would like to know about work permit for my partner, when i study in flight school. Do you can help me?
Sir which is the best flying School or academy that you prefer to join for becoming a pilot in Canada.
what about kenya
I have a question of a validate my commercial license and then I take an aviation diploma in a university. I am able to apply for a PGWP if I do this?
I’m not sure what you mean by validate your CPL. You either have to do a license conversion, if your license is recognized, or do the full training. If you then study for an aviation diploma I’m sure that will qualify for a work permit. But that’s not my specialty, so I would send an email to the right departments in the government asking work permit questions, and to transport Canada about your license conversion
Which part of Canada is it cheap to get the CPL in? Can you please tell me which aviation or colleges I can go to for my CPL and it will be affordable?
Is there specific thing you have to be good at if your considering to become a pilot? Thanks
not really no, everything is taught at flight school. Having a good level of English will definitely help tho!

If I’m correct Jazz is just an interview, not a job? The keewatin agreement I haven’t hear about, it’s just an interview as well or what are the terms? Yes porter you definitely won’t get a job, but what’s the mentorship program do for pilots?
