You got Predator 2 that came out in 1990, you got Alien vs predator that came out in 2004, than you have Alien vs Predator Requiem that came out in 07, than you had Predators that came out in 2010 and than you had the last one (The Predator) that came out in 2018. Its a shame they couldnt get Alien vs predator right since that was a big promotion in Dark Horse comics for years. The only one I like out of the rest besides the original is Predators. Now Shane Black, who starred in the 1st Predator, he directed "The Predator" that came out in 2018. Now if im not mistaken..his idea for what he wanted to do with that movie as far as the script is not what was produced. And he was ticked off by that. He wanted the movie to be an "event" and bring it back to that suspense/horror/sci-fi that made the original great. So basically..we didnt get the predator movie that he wanted to make

    • @IAMCAVE
      @IAMCAVE Месяц назад +1

      I imagine those three, are probably the most terrifying threats to mankind created in science fiction, with the predator being the worst threat.
      Aliens, or Xenomorphs, are terrifying because they just want to propagate their species, and will use any creature that they can implant an embryo into.
      Terminators, or also Skynet, has an objective and that’s to wipe out human kind. Period..
      Predators are far worse. They treat humans as game, the same way we use hunting for sport. What also makes them terrifying is that they use these hunts, to improve themselves and their technology.
      Xenomorphs and Skynet can be stopped and eradicated. Predators will always be around… in the realm of Science Fiction.
      That is what made those three great Science Fiction films. They had excellent writers, directors, actors and FX people. Instant classics.

      A friend of mine, an artistic genius worked for Winston on this film in our senior year of high school, but our high school would not let him take the weeks off school to go on location. He also worked on Beetlejuice in our senior year (both were 'after-school jobs' lol). Through him, I got to meet several of the FX artists who worked on this film, as well as several more who he worked with on later films. Unfortunately, I had/have the artistic ability of a garden gnome, so I could only live vicariously through him, and not work with him, but I am happy for my friend's success in the industry, and a few of the people he worked for and with, a few who went on to win Oscars in effects.

      Arthur Ashe became the first (and remains the only) African American male tennis player to win the U.S. Open and Wimbledon singles titles. He was also the first African American man to earn the No. 1 ranking in the world and the first to earn induction into the Tennis Hall of Fame. Always an activist, when Ashe learned that he had contracted AIDS via a blood transfusion, he turned his efforts to raising awareness about the disease, before finally succumbing to it on February 6, 1993.

    Love his comments at 4:07. The special FX of the movie were amazing, but Kevin Peter Hall's fluid movements, his posture, the physicality he brought to the role, is just something you can't replicate with makeup or foam or any ingredients. I love the part in the movie where the Predator and Arnold are circling one another, at night, down near the river, and the Predator crouches down and extends his arms, getting ready to fight. They definitely cast the perfect actor for that role!

    The way he moves at 2:50 look at his posture, look at the way his arm and wrists are pointing with his gauntlet. He truly is the spark.
