Not only is his track record for hit songs extensive, there are so many buried treasures on all his albums that personally resonate with me. I have had his 5 album in my cd player for 2 months straight right now. I agree with so much of what he's saying....especially about his comments about current music today - this is why I love to check out band's demos!

Rhythm is indeed a hard thing to learn, and even harder one to teach. However, it can be done, only you need a lot of patience and a teacher who has a deep understanding of cognitive psychology, that is to say practical understanding, not necessarily in theoretical (although that can help too). Unfortunately, such teachers are rarer than captured neutrinos 🙂
I was lucky enough to see him live 4times, first was in 93’ Universal love tour; and on 96’ for his Circus tour and he opened with “The Resurrection” playing a 12 string acoustic guitar. I sat down with my guitar and learned the chords to the resurrection by ear after a bit of trial and error and learned it. I play it for my wife, she asks for it often. Playing the guitar is not to bad but its tricky, singing it while playing it is super challenging. When I saw Lenny play it in 96, I got to the Electric Factory in Philadelphia Early and I heard him spending quite a bit of time practicing his singing part for the Resurrection while I was in line outside of the Venue. I ended up in the 2nd row for each show (you gotta let the hot females get up front for the band). In the middle of the show Lenny gave a rose to a hot girl up front. At the end of the show Lenny threw his Gorgeous Les paul up in the air to a roadie who was on point and caught it. All the Lenny shows were absolutely incredible Lenny is a superstar soul singer and a musical virtuoso. Craig Ross is also a guitar wizard virtuoso who is like a kindred spirit to Lenny, and can play all styles, but he really shines with his Jimi Hendrix/Jimmy Page soaring leads. Cindy is also a powerhouse drummer and was a perfect fit for Lenny. I need to see him again live.

For years I thought Lenny played lead guitar on his albums but just a MONTH ago I found out it was Craig Ross! Who by the way, is an incredible guitar player. Lenny Kravitz is just a fashion statement. He's got his own cologne for God sake.
