Awesome cover, but I would DEFinately (see what I did there) roll off the distortion on the chorus riff and add some "chorus" effect - otherwise that great sequence gets lost in the mix.
Good job btw. And why don’t ever use the guitars and equipment or equivalent on what they used for the 88 tour? That sound? The new versions live are just missing something and sound so polished. Something missing big time, even though they can play better than ever.
Is there a name for series of arpeggiated chords where the high strings are anchored and the low strings alternate movements? Like what we see in the chorus…
@@gregorygendron2265 to be honest, i'd just call them arpeggios - or to paraphrase you, drone arpeggios. I guess double stops are played together rather than arps like this section is. In summary, I really have no idea 🤣
@@peterobinson Thanks for the reply! Whatever they are called, I am a sucker for a chorus with them every time. This song, Stagefright, Photograph, any song with that going on is where it's at!
i understand this common issue when a newer member replaces a deceased member.. same thing happened with goth rock legends Christian Death... original vocalist Rozz Williams (born Roger Alan Painter) sadly took his own life on April Fools Day 1994.. and the replacement vocalist Valor Kand has never earned the fans complete respect.. lol.. it happens and it's ok and I'm sure Vivian doesn't want to upstage Steve. if i was a replacement member of a bandmate who died, I would talk to them in my ❤ every day and always praise God for allowing me to fill these shoes .. it would be bittersweet for sure
Man I wish you’d do more Def. They’re too much fun to ignore.
Absolutely awesome 👏👏👏
🔥🔥🔥
I just saw them on their last tour here in california, this one was great live, thanks for the pointers. I love your channel!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed their show!
That was excellent dude!👏👌😎👍
Awesome, thanks!
Ease off on the distortion for this song, or anything off Hysteria for that matter. Good playing.
Can you do slowed down detailed lessons / tutorials? This is great work.
Your tone is perfect for it
FANTASTIC! Thank you for showing some of these parts I was learning.
Your tone is killer! Give us a rig rundown. Great tune and great playing!
thanks man. This was actually just a virtual amp - no actual rig. just a virtual amp, some delay and reverb and a touch of micro-pitch detune.
I believe that they used SR&D Rockman for the guitars. That was all you needed for a big clean sound....a headphone Amp.
Whicht distortion are U using on that song...I love your sound, what's the pedal that you are using....a lot of gain

Completely fair comment. Thanks man 🙌

Thought you were going to teach what chords used
Great stuff. You just got a new subscriber 😊
Good job bro, share presets please.
Thanks man.

I thought Steve played the arpeggios, no solo's either :/
as far as I know, that's a unison part. The first solo is definitely steve which is why I sat back on rhythm.
@@peterobinson second solo at the end is Phil :D
Joe literally says Cmon Steve get it right before the first solo
Very unique guitar parts in this song. Love the solo. I don’t like Vivian’s interpretation. Just being honest.
Vivian’s interpretation is great! His tone is also killer live in this song.

no he doesn’t play it correctly, but it doesn’t suck.
