The shrieker sounding while he was strip mining was so cool. It would be quite the thrill if it was survival and the warden just pops up in the strip mine after you hear the shrieker.
That is NOT a strip mine! A strip mine is a SURFACE mine. What he's doing is called tunnel mining. Strip miners, like my dad was for 50+ years, never go underground. The miners remove layers of land from the SURFACE, making a deep pit to expose the coal.

But the kiddo is out of school and wanted to see me play Minecraft so I updated and got going. I hadn't really played in about 3 years and I spawned on a mountain with a HUGE hole right next to me. I had two thoughts..."What the hell?" and "RUNNING TIME!" I didn't know what I had gotten into. Good info in your video.
A great use for a Skulk Sensor is a hidden switch. Wrap it in wool everywhere except above it, and then put a block above it and you can have what is essentially an invisible pressure plate that's only activated by stepping on that one block.
So a sensor with wool on the inside a d outside of your base, allowing it to sense up down and along the length of your wall. Then a few Redstone logic gates, AND gates mostly, you could have traps set up that find if someone is approaching/breaking blocks to get in, qnd only set off traps near them.

Does the Warden need the Sculk Blocks to summon in, or can it Spawn in normal blocks if all of the Sculk is removed? Since you can't move the Shrieker, you may be able to remove the Blocks around it, then build a working Warden Farm from that.
They can only spawn near skulk shrieked when you make a voice near them. The Sculk Shrieker will alert you 2 times and it will summon the Warden on the 3rd time
I think they can spawn on anything except glass blocks? Or non fully filled blocks? I don't know if it's true but I heard that a long time ago during the early days of the development of the deep dark in 1.19

Man, it sucks I hate it so much, I mean, I literally can't do straight mining without getting a warden spawned I'm every 4 four blocks of distance, and if he appears, you have to wait a entire minute.
You can also switch to another activity than mining once in a while. If a warden spawns, it will take 40 minutes in total of being active on your world while doing something else for your warning to reset back to zero. And it takes 10 mins for it to go down one level
Can one mine in a similar fashion to moss mining with a Skulk Catalyst? Would have to get perhaps a farm going for any animal in the deep dark (chickens maybe easiest) and the Catalyst does not create Shriekers that can summon the warden (although it can create shriekers but they are not able to summon warden). I havent tried yet, but am planning on trying when i clear a large room out of the shriekers and initial skulk (except the catalyst blocks). In this way, one can get absolutely tons of experience, lots of chicken bits, and ores.

gold and Ntherite are the same i think, your point about it being easier to get and the enchanting is true though, personally i went Netherite just for the flex :)
They need to make killing the warden more rewarding like at least a nee sword or pieces of a sword that you can only get by killing the warden and it’s 1 more damage than a diamond sword or the same damage so instead of grinding for a neatherite sword you can grind for that sword it would make the warden more rewarding and you have to grt both sides of the hilt put them together in a crafting table to make the hilt 2 shards of the blade combine them to make the blade and the handle but make them kind rare drops like they don’t drop everytime so you gotta grind in the deep dark and there harder to enchant bc it’s easy to get exp in the deep dark like 2 more exp than normal to enchant and make it have an auto enchantment called deep light and it makes killing wardens more easy it would be really fun to grind for an overall a great addition to mincraft and the deep dark

From my experience, especially with bats, if mobs trigger sensors, then these sensors cannot trigger shriekers. Only a sound the player caused is registered (which may involve killing or getting hurt by said mob)

Do you have a woodland mansion guide??
So, everyone says that hostile mobs cant spawn in the deep dark but the one in my survival world is jampacked with them to the point where they are triggering shriekers
From my experience, especially with bats, if mobs trigger sensors, then these sensors cannot trigger shriekers. Only a sound the player caused is registered (which may involve killing or getting hurt by said mob)
@Raphaël D I had a neighboring zombie spawner just on the edge of the deep dark and they kept coming over to the deep dark and the shreikers were definitely going off. I don't know if it counts toward summoning the warden though
@@TLSFC5050 Were they walking directly on the shriekers? I haven't tested what happens in this case. I guess you could know whether or not it counts by turning on subtitles and look for "Warden approaches" (warning 1), "Warden advances" (warning 2), and "Warden draws close" (warning 3)
@Raphaël D hmm I'll have to try that, I know they were close but I don't remember if they were on top of the shreikers or not
Also I’ve had mobs comes attack me while on the edges of ancient city. It not spawn proof.
