- Tiktok has made some food and drink in London super famous, but I'm always skeptical. Just because it LOOKS good doesn't mean it tastes good, right? Or that the experience is up to par. So in this video I go to some of London's Tiktok viral food spots and give my honest rating as to whether it's GOOD or just a load of hype.

Hi Jess. You are the most honest food reviewer. Love your standards and insights. I see a pattern developing…you love desserts! Thanks for the good company.
Thanks Richard, really glad you enjoyed it!
I like that you show what happens to the extra food and that you don’t waste.
No waste here 😎

i went to london for 14 days and got back in one piece....visited the hot and not spots...walked the thames to tower bridge and back,...holborn and bank...canary wharf...all the touristy stuff, and the new road layouts at king's college...camden, euston, kings cross, southwark, the rotherhithe tunnel, pretty much explored everything london...
I tried a couple food places that you recommended when I was in London last and I loved them so I trust your opinion. Congrats on the 150k now and oh yeah.........I love your sunglasses lol
Thanks Barry! Glad you enjoyed my recommendations.
Been thinking about doing a video like this for ages. Really enjoyed it! I’ve only heard bad things about Elan…
I'm sort of skeptical of all things hip and hyped, so I really appreciate your willingness to step into the mainstream LOL! I'm excited to try Héfaure but also Fuwa Fuwa. Thanks for all that you do to help those who want to explore London!
You're welcome, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Valencia!
Love these food trips
And your shades lol
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Jess, love your blogs 💖💖💖
Thanks so much!!
Awesome content Jess
Thanks for watching Phil!
Love the vid jess. i REALLY like that you grade on a number scale, its useful info. there's gotta be restaurants that are willingly to give you free food to review right? 🍽😋
The thing is when they give free food, it makes it tricky to honestly rate them. That's why I usually pay for the food and hotels that I review, so I can be super honest!
@@loveandlondon brutal or semi brutal honesty could be part of your brand 😂 🚀
Loved this! If you start a food series where you rate well known restaurants and spots you'd be the only one i trust
Music to my ears! Thanks Laura!
To be honest all the food looks very great as well as all the architecture. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching Justin
Very nice vlog 👍
Thanks for watching Sagar!
Thanks for the great video, Jess! I'm heading to London in September got the first time (!!!) and I really want to try some traditional English desserts while I'm there (Eton Mess, Spotted Dick, Toffee Pudding, etc...) do you have a video of the best place to get these desserts (or would you be willing to make one?!) I'm finding it difficult to find places that serve them during my research into sweet treats!
Yup we have a sweets one !
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 for bringing your own containers.
No food waste over here, no way no way!
Yep. I was also impressed with your Tupperware!
Studied abroad in London years ago and I’ve always dreamt of going back….binging your channel
Aw, enjoy, thanks so much!
Hey Jess. I love your videos very much. They are honest and informative. Love love ❤️❤️
Thinking about visiting London in near future. So i got a itching question. I am going to travel solo, so if i want to enjoy a nice afternoon tea or if i want to go to a nice restaurant to experience fine dining, how does Londoners see it. Does no one cares about it or does it look pathetic? Do not want to stand out in a crowd 😂
No one cares, they're too busy with their own lives and insecurities, promise! Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words!
I'm so glad Hefaure was good becuase I have it in my list of places to go in London and I was sooo looking forward to try it 😂😂
Enjoy! Thanks for watching.
I think I ate at La Bab when I was there in 2020. Loved it.
Nice! Thanks for watching Edward.
Glad no food is wasted !
Not on my watch! ;)
EL&N ought to be called the Pepto-bismal Cafe!
Can you request toppings at Hefaure or do you have to order by menu?
lol. You get to choose which toppings if I remember correctly! Thanks for watching.
I had a weird experience with the El&N caffe, I took my friends there and everyone wanted to try Chai. And the guy said we don’t do that here, it’s written right on their menu.
This was so much fun! I love to gain at least 10£ when I travel. I like the small individually owned food experiences. Merci from Vancouver Island!
Thanks for watching!
Kindle, lbs!
What would ten pounds gained be in stones? Oddly, as a Canadian I think of weight in pounds not kilos...
@@kindle7191 There are 14 pounds (lbs) in a stone. The measurement dates back to the 15th century and relates to England exporting wool fleeces direct to Florence. I find it easier to comprehend the weight of someone if given in stone and lbs, easier than kilograms and much easier than using lbs only, as the Americans do.
👍❤️
I wonder how long these places last, on average. I would think the hyper-trendy places would be so short-lived that the lease contracts would eat any initial success. Perhaps there is a trick for grabbing hype profits and running off/breaking lease? I love your fair minded skepticism!
Thanks Todd! They tend to all stick around fairly long actually. El&an cafe has many locations in London and around the world now...
@@loveandlondon I guess that's a business lesson in itself. Now I have to figure what that lesson is. Thanks!
If you don't eat all your take away, it's got to be frozen for another day :) Life is too expensive in the UK to throw away food.....
Did you see that I put it all in takeaway containers to eat back at home? :)
@@loveandlondon I did notice yes..... I think every houseold in the UK has a cupboard full of them hahahaha
You gave the pancakes a 9 but your reaction made it seem like they were a 5 😐. Lol
I don't think so :) thanks for watching !
that EL&N place looks hipster inspired on steroids - over 15 quid on what looks like a macaron and a cotton candy looking beverage with no alcohol plus seemingly shitty service sounds like a hard no - thanks for showing us behind the curtain of that tiktok nonsense Jess :)
Oh you wouldn't find a hipster there! It's too pink and colourful lol! Thanks for watching!
I absolutely hated the Creme cookies. SO overhyped.
I'm sorry to say.. But there's no such thing as too much truffle 😂
Wow L&L I did not know you could so entitled and pessimistic. Yikes!
I think it's just called having an opinion
@@loveandlondon no it's called being an entitled american in the UK.
@@loveandlondon your YT priviledge is showing showing.
