    Next time you are in the Kings Cross area Jess take a visit to Drummond street near Euston station. There are a few Indian veggie restaurants that do all you can eat buffets under £10. One to visit is Ravi Shankar.

    Things change. My first "real job" was a Taco Bell in California. In a good week, I earned $100 (about your £75 a day budget) and this was before deductions. I'm terrible with budgeting while traveling, but I do search out good deals for hotels and airfare before going. I don't go on some crazy spending spree, but I figure trying to save a bit here and there visiting a place, isn't going to make a difference over the course of my life. Good video.

    • @loveandlondon

      Thanks for watching! And yeah, I think travel is great in that you can spend more on the stuff you like and less on what's not as much of a priority. Hence, spending half my budget on dinner... eating well is really important to me!

    I think you hit the nail on the head at the end, don't be afraid to ask for a doggy bag to take home. You've paid for the food, restaurants are use to customers asking to take the leftovers home.

    Lol, I love your comment about how the exhibit reminded you that you don't like art. I do like art but when I went to London I really leaned in to the museums as destinations and I started feeling the same way. I sort of felt obligated to visit them because when would I get the chance to go again? I love your videos because you feature such a variety of options. Next time I come to London, I will skip most of the museums and see more of your suggestions. Thanks!

    • @loveandlondon
      @loveandlondon  3 года назад

      That's exactly why I included that Brooke... so many people who visit London tell their friends "you must visit this gallery or museum" but if you don't particularly like art or museums, a "must-do" is not a must-do for YOU! Glad you're finding the videos helpful, thanks so much for watching.

    • @loveandlondon
      @loveandlondon  3 года назад +1

      Thanks so much for watching. This is the lowest budget I'll be doing because I believe that when we're a tourist somewhere, we shouldn't just take take take but also contribute to the local economy, especially as hospitality, retail and tourism sectors have been hit SO badly and continue to be so they need the support. Next video will be spending £150 in a day!

    Plaza Pastor is a good tip. Americans often say there's no good Mexican food in London. I've been going to Tortilla at Angel since they opened in 2008 or 2009 for burritos. They're a London-wide chain these days. That's more California style though.

    • @loveandlondon
      @loveandlondon  3 года назад

      Yeah definitely not authentic at Tortilla! I don't know how authentic Plaza Pastor is but it's yummy and a good experience on a decent price. Thanks for watching!

    • @totallypixelated
      @totallypixelated 3 года назад

      @@loveandlondon Yes, they're authentic in so far as they are based on San Francisco taquerias. Angel was their first restaurant I believe. I met the guy who runs the business there way back. He's from the Bay Area. He was super nice and I'm happy he's made such a success of the business since then. I looked up Plaza Pasto and it seems they have a few cool places. Making me hungry thinking about it!

    Wow Jess, this video really took me back! I used to live at a small studio in the Spa Green Estate and I would literally go everyday to Exmouth Market for lunch. I would also walk to Barbican Centre every other weekend and visit one of my favourite spots: The London Museum (right next to Barbican!). Even the Culpeper Community Garden experience brought me back. I used to work in retail at Angel Station and while at lunch break at that garden I received a phone call that would turn to be an offer for my first Social Media role in London (an actual office job!). So, TL:DR, this video felt really nostalgic to me, so thanks!
