- What's the best afternoon tea in London? This is a question I get a lot, so I decided to compare three of the top afternoon teas in London so you can figure out which tea experience is best for your next visit. In this video, come with me to the Rosewood hotel, Fortnum & Mason, and Ting at the Shangri-La hotel in The Shard to see how they compare on price, location, food and service.

About Love and London:
I'm Jess, I've lived in London for many years, and this channel is a London travel guide for anyone visiting the city that wants to experience it like you live here. Beyond talking about the usual London attractions, I show you some of the cooler things to do in London, that most travel guides don't mention. Watch my videos and you'll feel like you've got a Londoner friend telling you the best kept secrets in the city.
Afternoon tea at the Wolseley, in London, was relatively affordable , great portions, beautiful classic tea set up in a gorgeous building with so much character. It wasn't too posh, nor too casual. It was a full house that day. As a tourist, it was everything I hoped for for about 40 dollars per person. When we finished all three tiers of food and pastries , they offered to refill us on food or tea free of charge! We declined of course, as we were full , but considering how generous the servings were already, this really surprised us. 10/10 recommend!
@phanminhchau2002 All items! Not sure if we just had a generous waiter serving us or if this is standard for them.
Splendid
My wife & I went to the tea at Fornum and Mason and for a traditional tea it was great! I wish we would have seen this before visiting London as I think all 3 would have been on our list. The Rosewood Hotel looked art fabulous and tea at Ting in the Shard would have been worth the 5 minute champagne wait just to take in that view. Thanks Jess, great video!
All of them are great for different reasons. Thanks so much for watching!
Could have been called High Tea with the Google Pixel 5
High tea is different! Thanks for watching!
Agreed, there is product placement and then there is product shoving down the throat. Normally good videos but the constant Google Pixel 5 plugging ruined it for me which is a same as normally like this channel
@@commonsense3482 I'm sure you're aware that as a travel business, I have been in one of the hardest hit industries these last two years. In 2020 I only broke even after working on this business full time trying to keep it going. This year with government support and even with partnerships like this it has been a huge struggle. These partnerships I am so thankful for because without them we could not continue to make the free content that we do for you and the rest of my followers. Agreed. The phone turned me off.
Yes, I was skipping
I’m so glad things are open up and you’re out and about showing what London had to offer. Makes me excited to get back in November 🤍
Glad to hear it Megs! Thanks so much for watching.
Beautiful video. Thank you for the quality, FREE content you produce. Visiting London soon and we are loving this guide for our first tea time there!
Thanks for watching Alejandra! We are able to keep making so much free content with the help of our sponsors so we are very appreciative :)
Great video Jess . Really enjoyed it plus very informative as usual . Clearly not a cheap afternoon if I'm paying for two ! But as a treat , yes , worth it for the experience for sure . Was on my list last time in London but couldn't squeeze everything in . Missed out on Afternoon Tea ( have had it before ) . Had to settle for Afternoon Pint instead ! LOL . Next time .
Thanks Colin, glad you enjoyed the video :)
Thanks for the Fortnum & Mason recommendation. My girlfriend and I had tea there a few weeks ago. It was my first time visiting London; and it was the perfect first stop on our trip. It is a bit expensive, 70 dollars each. But the food, products and atmosphere there are just so refined. Thanks again!
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
I went to high tea at Fortnum & Mason back in 2003 on my first visit to London. It was a highlight of the trip for me. I drank coffee not tea, as I am not a tea drinker. Then I added a glass of champagne. The other highlight was seeing for the first time "Phantom of the Opera“ at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Mason Mount or GreenWood?
Really helpful video, Jess! It’s going to be my 3rd time in London but first time that I am going to book afternoon tea so I think you have me leaning toward F & M even though I am a sucker for a great view! 😆
Ooo lovely! So glad you enjoyed it Sheri, thank you so much for watching ♥️
These are great, but for a bit of fantasy there's the Mad Hatters Tea Party at the Sanderson. Perhaps you could try that next @LoveandLondon
WonderEngLand
wow, this will be amazing experience, spent the very first few days in London and loving it! so much to do and so much to experience....thank you Jess for filling up our bucket list😂. Do you have a suggestion for experiencing the afternoon tea as a first-timer towards NW London? The photos from Google Pixel looked amazing...no less than any hifi DSLR!
So much to see indeed! All of my favourite afternoon teas are in this video, in articles on my site, and in my guides: shop.loveandlondon.com And if you need specific recommendations you can book a Trip Planning Call with me, also available in my shop :) Thanks so much for watching!
This was a very nice video Jess. I really liked all of the details of each place that you made sure to point out. You always show so many things to see and do. I'll have to spend a lot more time in London lol
Glad you enjoyed it Barry, thanks for watching!
Can I ask where you got the dress? Amazing!
Shangri-La gets my vote. I saw a programme about the Corinthia London, first episode dealt a lot with them devising their new afternoon tea. Was interesting seeing the thought that went into it.
SO much thought goes into these teas! Thank you so much for watching Gerrard!
Thanks a lot for the amazing video, I really enjoyed it, as well as all your videos but this one was very special and chic 😉. I liked all the three places but the Shard is really something 👍😉❤️
So glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for walking us through these details! Going to London for a month and I definitely need to try one of these places for tea!
Oh you've got plenty of time to try them all then :) Thanks for watching Elizabeth.
Honestly I love your london vlogs! I wish I can move to london one day. I often come down from up north always falling in love with London more and more
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking the time to watch!
You‘re Videos helped me a lot when I visit London 😍 Thank you Jess ☺️
So happy to hear it! Thanks for watching Kristina.
A brilliant video as always! Really interesting and great choice of places 👌🏻 and the Pixel is looking appealing too!
So glad you liked it, thanks so much for taking the time to watch!
Fantastic Jess. All three look excellent, so when I next visit London I will try and visit one of them. Can’t wait. Thank you for an excellent piece of filming and photography.👌
Glad you enjoyed it Dean, thanks for watcing!
Loved this! My first video seeing you! Great choices to sample these 3 afternoon teas. Would love to visit all three! I definitely liked the variety and contrast between each location. Thank you!
You're very welcome James, thanks for the kind comment!
Loved this! Have had the afternoon tea at F&M and loved it. Every time my friend and I come to London, we set up at least one (sometimes two!) afternoon tea reservations. Not only is it a tasty treat but it’s just such eye candy, isn’t it? Great way to relax.
Hi! I'll be visiting F&M for my birthday and I wanted to ask if you know if they have a birthday special. Do you know anything?
@@zeinaangel7593 I’m afraid I don’t know. I’ve never had a birthday celebration there. Couldn’t hurt to ask, though!
@@sonyavs455 thanks anyways! Enjoy your Sunday ❤
Yes such a lovely experience! Thanks for watching Sonya.
@@sonyavs455How long does it usually take you from the time you sit down to the time you are paying and leaving? Trying to get an itinerary done😊
Great video! I'm going back to London in February so this was very helpful. I will have to check out what the theme is at the Shangri-la in February.
Great! Thanks so much for watching !
Can’t wait for afternoon tea in London again! The Shangra-la looks amazing.
So glad you enjoyed, thanks so much for watching Lori!
I know !! I just happened to Google that place for afternoon tea services 3 days ago !!! Lol As I wanna have my tea looking at the tower bridge when I 'll be in London with mom in the very near future !!! The view of it from the hotel restaurant is stunning 😍 But ,I am afraid we can't afford it !! As we're definitely going to have our tea at Fortnum and Mason !!! I love love that place !!! And they now ( started few years ago ) have vegetarian & vegan tea as well & I am a vegetarian & mom is a pescatarian !! We're also planning to do another at the Ritz !! I've read & heard vegan ones at the both ones are better than regular afternoon tea ,so I might go for vegan ones there !! I used to be a vegan for a real long time !! I can't wait !!! Lol. I am thinking about having a cream tea at the Ivy's instead !! It's only £8.50 ,of course it's way more pricey compared to regular cream tea services ...! But ,it's right by the tower bridge !!! 🫖🍵☕🧁🍰👍👍💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶💞
Love afternoon tea. Great options. Can’t wait to try one when I get back there.
Enjoy! thanks for watching
This is so great! I'm huge on afternoon tea so this was very informative. Loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment ♥️
Probably the most informational video I have seen yet, will probably be going to one of the three mentioned in the video. Thanks!
Have a great time! Thanks for watching.
Great to see more food content Jess even if I'm too tight to pay these prices ;-) Love to visit F&M & the afternoon tea looked fab. Compliments to you or whoever took the 3 photo's at F&M they were superb.
Thanks Richard, appreciate you taking the time to watch!
@@afcgeo882 Yes Jess has previously given us an excellent list of afternoon tea options at various prices including the Firmdale Hotel branches in London with prices typically £25-£35 per person or a little more with Champagne. I would go for the later like you George but its great to see what the more expensive options look like also, thoroughly enjoyed the video.
Thank you for sharing the different tea services. I will definitely try those places next time I visit London!
Thanks for watching !
Great video! We loved our F&M afternoon tea last time we were in London, but the others look fantastic as well. I dig how Ting mixed theirs up a bit with non-traditional offerings. As a side note, I always wonder who's shooting videos and pictures of you when you're not the one with the camera haha.
Glad you enjoyed it Louie! I have a team of videographers who shoot my content,. Thanks for watching!
@@loveandlondon That sounds expensive haha.
Thank you so much for the video. I'm dreaming of an afternoon tea birthday celebration, so this will be very helpful. ❤️ Xoxo, Irina
Oh so lovely to hear it, thank you so much for watching!
Super useful - going there for the first time next week. You have so many useful tips that I'd like to ask a crazy question: I have always like Piccadilly sauce condiment. Any place you would recommend to buy some quality one?
Oh my God scone with cream and jam! ❤😍. Thanks for the recommendations!
You're very welcome, thanks so much for watching!
I found this video informative and great. Sure there’s a pixel 5 in there but it in no way detracted from the experience. I was happy to not have an ad at the beginning or the middle so if that meant Integrated content, bring it on! The only downside is I can’t decide which of the 3 to do so I may have to pick all of them!
Thanks for such kind words of support Ellen! These sponsors do indeed enable us to make more and more free content for everyone. Enjoy your afternoon tea, whichever one you choose ;)
I just love afternoon tea in London. I went to Brown's Hotel in Mayfair. Definitely very pricey but it was lovely. It was so filling it was the only food we ate all day. My friend is gluten free and she was extremely impressed with their gluten free options, even saying the gf scones were as good as she remembered her grandmothers traditional scones to have been.
nice!!
Great video and quality. I think I would enjoy the Shangri La a lot! Thanks for the video.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it Juan! Thanks so much for watching.
Lovely to see you back Jess doing what you do well, promoting our lovely city. But tell me how do you eat soo much cake and stay soo slim. There must be a peloton hidden somewhere at home!
My regular haunts for tea… the Berkeley, claridges, park room at the Dorchester and the connaught. .. festive tea service is the best at those. Good video Jess.
Thanks for watching!!
Need any company? Happy to provide it 😊
Well, you got me! I,m staying some days at London and after watching your video I, ve decided to pay a visit to Fortnum and Mason for having afternoon tea. I, ll let you know about my experience!
Love Fortnum and Mason teas. Love my Google phone. Love all your videos. Thanks for this video! Best wishes from Toronto 🇨🇦💜😊
Love love love! Thanks so much for watching Lauren!
Thank you for this video! It will help us when we are there.
So glad to hear it Diane, thank you so much for taking the time to watch!
What amazing experience all of 3! Love it
Yes! Thanks so much for watching Jorge!
Wow sounds gorgeous, luved the 3 different choices of venue.
Thanks for watching Stefan!
Thanks Jess, I never would have picked these 3. Normally used to other classic hotels. Roll on when borders open in Australia.
Woohoo! Thanks so much for watching.
All 3 are great of course. I think if you are a first time visitor it’s probably a good idea to go for the traditional as the genuine article. F&M are just that and other top of the range traditional offerings would be Claridges, the Goring and the Ritz among others. Forget Harrods 😆
Thanks for watching :)
Wow, the tea at the Shangri-La looks amazing! I'm curious, what kind of tea did they serve on the tray? Was there dry ice inside of it?
It was a welcome drink! If I remember it was a mango type of cold drink. Dry ice is under the tray. Thanks for watching!
We visited the F&M in the British Exchange building and had tea and scotch egg. Best te ever and a right good egg too. But we had a classic afternoon tea at the beautiful Milestone Hotel in South Kensington. So gracious and kind to fix a mix up with our reservation. Best example of a high tea you could imagine!
Nice! Don't forget that high and afternoon tea agent the same thing 🙂thanks for watching!
Thank you for introducing me to Yayoi Kusama. This was the most interesting part of the video.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
I just got the Pixel 5a so I would have a new phone for my trip to England next month! I cannot wait to explore several afternoon teas while in London
Ah no way! You'll get some amazing photos then! Thanks so much for watching.
Great pictures. Did the phone pick up your voice that easily, or were you wearing a mic? Yummy! Hope to visit soon.
Do you mean at the beginning when I said Hey Google? No mic, just picked it up as normal! Thanks so much for watching Laurie.
@@loveandlondon Hi! I just meant for the whole video. The phone must have a great mic!
Such a cool video. For me when I visit, I think Fortnum and Masons is for me.
Nice. Many tourists especially if its their first visit like to go super traditional. Thanks so much for watching!
Love your stuff lady, glad you can stay in the UK. We need persons like you in the capital.
Thanks so much for watching Peter!
So far, this one is the video I’ve liked the most at your channel. Congratulations, as you’ve got to show your own touch. It’s been like a delicatessen invention from a famous chef. What about introducing a new range of videos like this?
So glad to hear you enjoyed this so much Elias! Yes we are actually planning on doing more comparison videos like this!
Absolutely…..fabulous Vlog. You should be a tourism ambassador for London.
Thanks so much Nadeem, really glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for watching.
YUM! All looked unique and wonderful. I definitely want to try the Shangri-La’s version of afternoon tea. How can you beat that view? I have only done The Sanderson’s tea but it was fantastic as well.
Definitely the best view for a tea! Thanks for watching Ken.
I love Afternoon Tea. Hello from San Francisco. One of these days when I can travel to London and covid19 calms down, I will check these places out. I like to know where to eat, both sweet and savory, in addition to what to do
Thanks Karen, appreciate you taking the time to watch!
Amazing, exhaustive video .thanks!! I loved it
AW thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for sharing this video! I have a question about the Fortnum and Maison Afternoon tea. Because I want to celebrate my birthday there, do you know if they have a birthday special?
Thank you so much in advance ❤
I don't think so but you can im sure ask them to do a little something. Thanks for watching!
try the Berkeley hotel tea, near Harvey Nichols, great for fashionistas as the cakes are based on the latest catwalk designs, Etc.
My favourite afternoon tea is at Sketch of Regent St, I cannot wait to revisit.
I recommend branching out, I think you'll find better ones ;) thanks so much for watching Colette!
This is definitely on my to do list, when I visit London 🙏
Enjoy!! Thanks for watching.
Thanks to you we did a High Tea at the Shangr La Hotel in The Shard. What an experience. Thank you so much
Afternoon tea not high tea ❤️glad you enjoyed it!! ❤️
Love this! Can you suggest a location for a Christmas themed tea also a place that will likely accommodate a food allergy?
Thanks for watching! Most places can accommodate if you let them know ahead of time. This video is old but it has some ideas for you: ruclips.net/video/lzHcZz7bsuE/видео.html&t
You have great tips and your videos are fun to watch. I will be traveling to London October 2023. Do you know if The Ting is still serving the cloud forest tea? I didn't see it in the menu.
That's great! No they change the theme every few months. Our next video shows their current theme (at time of filming).
Hoping to visit the UK and of course, London, next year from here in Oz. Loved your video of all hotels. Does the Ritz still do their Afternoon High Tea? What about the Savoy?
Yup both do, you will see info on their sites. I prefer the teas in this video vs the ones you mentioned, personally, as well as Claridge's.
Amazing content, looking forward to checking these out. Were the prices for 2 ?
Thanks so much! Nope prices were per person. Thanks for watching.
Love your footage, what camera 🎥 do you use? The quality is great x
It's my videographers' cameras so I don't know!
Thanks for amazing review. Beautiful white dress. Glad to learn they do vegetarian options.
Thanks for watching Moira!
I was not going to watch this but I did only because I enjoy Jess, for her look and personality ! Plus I hardly miss her videos. Glad I did and it was cool to see the cost but wonder what it was without the champagne? It was nice too as a vegetarian to see what can be had and I think the Shard would be best just for the views alone !!!! Great job Jess with the editing and overall video !!!! May 2022 is my trip to London after cancelling twice due to covid so i hope it happens this time.....
Thanks for watching! The prices without champagne varied but was about £10-£15 less.
@@loveandlondon thanks so much for your reply ! Might just try an afternoon tea when I get to London in May - Thanks for your suggestions and advice !!
I think the Rosewood is just pure style and elegance, absolutely amazing. Of course this is very subjective 😊
It's absolutely beautiful. Thanks for watching!
Wonderfull places for the Afternon tea🍵☕🍵 you were very elegant💅 , what a nice wether for being septembe
Thanks so much for watching Carmen :)
This was helpful actually, thanks.
Great! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the great video! What is the dress code for all three places and do they require reservations?
They are quite high-end so I would recommend being a bit dressier although it's not required. Yes I would definitely make a reservation! Thanks so much for watching Svetlana, really appreciate it ♥️
OMG !!! MARRIAGE FRERE'S !!! Their Marco Polo is the BEST !!! MY all time fave !!! 😍 It's been a long time since the last time I bought it,though ! Because it's very expensive !! Lol.
The dress you wore was very elegant & feminine & pretty 😍 It looked so good on you !! Perfect outfit for the afternoon tea !!! I can't believe you did 3 tea & champagnes on the same day !!! Lol.😅 Was that Veuve Clicquot ,too !!? My fave ,all time fave !!! Lol. Though I really don't drink alcohol ,but I love champagnes !! Veuve & Piper Hyde Seek's pink champagne are my all time faves as well as Perrier Jouet fluer de champagne bell...,those 3 are my faves !!! Lol.
And did you say that you're a vegetarian, too !!?? Me,too !!! LOLLOLLOL 👍👍So,which one was the best !?? I had my afternoon tea at Fortnum and Mason ,way way back !! In '83 !! Lol. It was so good 👍 I am planning to go back there for another when we'll be there in the very near future !!!
I am wishing if you can do a vlog for more casual ,affordable afternoon tea on a budget without sacrificing the tastes / qualities !! Lol. Or a cream tea vlog !! I wanna know which place's scones are the very best in London !! That'll be awesome ,too !!! This video was so awesome ,thank you !!! 😍👍👍💜💜💜💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶🍾🥂🍰🧁🫖☕🍵💕💞
Thanks so much for watching, glad you enjoyed the video!
The third one for me. I haven't got a sweet tooth so that suits me better. I also like the twist that comes with it.
Totally get that. Thanks so much for watching! Appreciate it.
Thanks for the video. Loved it. 💖🫖
Thanks for watching!
Ooo these are all on my list to try 💜
Enjoy!
I just discovered this channel and I just love the content already. The champagne challenge though is imo inadequate to mesure service.
In F&M they brought the champagne flute already poured to the table while the Changri-la did it in a two stages fashion. One person settin up an empty champagne glass on the table then an other person ( probably a sommelier) coming next to introduce then pour the champagne. So while the latter took longer it was a better more refined and luxureous service.
Yeah that was just for fun 🙂 thanks for watching
Just love these vids 🍰 🧁 ☕️ 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Glad to hear it Robert, thanks for watching
this was so nice to see as I love my london I am going to do this as this was so azing
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Going to be first time London end Sept first week Oct want to experience the best afternoon tea where would you recommend. Thanks
I've been to F&M. It was lovely. Their bread is baked in a special pan. Everything did taste different and delicious from regular stuff.😂😂
Good video, thank you. Was that food at Fortnum and Mason's one person's portion or two?
One. Thanks for watching Sarah!
AHHHHH OTS HERE!!! I’ll watch when my shift is over lol.
Hope you enjoyed it!
For me, as a Londoner, it is tea at the Savoy, followed by the Ritz, then Fortnum & Mason.
Thanks for watching Fiona!
Really nice. A question remains: do they have gluten free options? Given these locations and the price point I would expect that.
Yes absolutely! Thanks for watching
Ever been to Sketch? Delicious tea and a really unique vibe! Definitely something different!
Thanks so much for watching Jenna!
Great video, so informative, thank you! Also, where is your dress from? Love it!
Thanks! It's secondhand!
Very interesting video. Have you tried famous high end hotels ie The Ritz for afternoon tea? Like your white lace blouse, very classy!
Both The Rosewood and the Shangri-La are quite end hotels in London, and yes I've tried quite a few other teas around the city. Thanks for watching
Just booked the Ting tea at the shard (bc of your video ) thx again
Enjoy!!
Do you have any thoughts on Claridges? We're heading there in August and I'd love to take my mother-in-law and daughter to a high tea that is amazing and traditional (we are going to Ting also, thanks to your video)!
Claridges is nice! We have it in our London Itineraries : shop.loveandlondon.com
Are all three places about the same in price? Do you need a reservation? What is the best time to arrive for high tea and when is the best time/day to go for high tea when there are fewer people? Thanks for answering all my questions!
They're the same price-ish, all quite high end so don't expect cheap. Yes absolutely make a reservation in advance. Doesn't really matter which day or time you go, just make a reservation Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this!
You're very welcome!
Hi! Did you have to order the Asian theme in order to have the dry ice feature/ surprise?
Hiya, there's no choice on the theme, it's the only thing they offer so you'll def get it (although note that the theme has since changed)
Been to at least 20 afternoon teas in London over the years. Rosewood was the best service, inventiveness, flavour. We were blown away. Sketch was right up there with live music. The Four Seasons was the most disappointing, sadly. The Savoy afternoon tea is such a treat as is Browns .
I have been to many afternoon teas in my life !! Mostly here in S.California ( U.S. ) ,though !! Many at hotels . Some at a British tea place ( cream tea ) & a British pub( cream tea as well ,though ! ) & a cream tea in Cotswold & Portmeirion, Wales !!! It was so~good ( Wales )I might had a cake there, though, but the best tasting compared to English's scones ,or cake I had over there back then !!! And one afternoon tea ( vague memory still ...I have recently regained my decades long blocked memories for my PTS which I wasn't aware ) at Fortnum and Mason in '83 !! It could had been just sandwiches & scones ,no cakes as I believe it was early in morning I went there ! ? I do remember clearly of eating those delicious sandwiches & scones there !!! And do remember wishing if I could had more of those sandwiches !! Lol. And I had some afternoon teas in Tokyo !
I do believe that in London when you talk about ,or suggesting afternoon teas to people there ,you really can't omit Fortnum and Mason ones !!! For the tastes & the atmosphere over there !!
As for the Four Seasons ...I believe you !! Although I had a fabulous afternoon tea at the hotel in Beverly Hills before ( decades ago !! WOW ! Time flies really !!! ) & lots of dinners & lunches there ,very sadly the quality/ tastes went down so~badly ,plunged here ,too !!! I was so ~ shocked !!! I believe it's due to the new ownership & management !! My favourite thing at the Four Season was their apple pie !! It comes in a baking ramekin ! ( There's another one like that at the Embassy Suites ! Theirs is the very best !!! Lol. ) I went there about 5 years ago for my birthday celebration ( I wanted that apple pie !! 🥧 ) ,but it was so --- bad !!! 👎 Tasteless & mashy ,too moistened !! And and the tea ...AWFUL TEA ...THE TEA POT SMELLED LIKE CHLORINE!!! 😱😖We complained about it ! We got no apology from them !! Maybe one " sorry about that " ? And it came back smelling like sewage !!! 😱😖👎👎 We were stunned !!! I couldn't drink it !! We decided not to go back there ever !! We haven't ever since then !!! So ,I believe you saying it was dissapointing !! If you said that two decades ago ,then I would had doubted your taste bud ,but now it's very believable !! I felt the decline of the Four Season a bit earlier than that incident !! So ,I kinda predicted it ! It's such a shame !! As they were one of the best around !! Even when I was a vegan for 17 years & back then ,they always prepared & served the best tasting vegan dishes ( amongth hotels here ,the Beverly Wilshire ,Ritz Carlton ,Hyatt , etc. ) for me whenever I went there !! I am kind of scared to go back there after that tea pot incident !! 🫖🍵☕🍰🧁💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶💞
Sorry for my novels !! 🙏
Nice! Thanks so much for watching!
Hi Jess, I'm visiting London very soon and afternoon tea is very high on my list of things to do. I do have one question though: in places as "posh" as Fortnum and Mason, is it acceptable to come dressed casually or will the staff frown on me turning up in a t-shirt? I've put some money aside for it but I'm afraid to feel a bit out of place
Each place is different, some might have a dress code so check the website. If you're going to one of these nicer places, I do recommend looking the part. Thanks for watching!
@@loveandlondon Many thanks Jess for your reply! I may look for a more modest place then (I don't plan to bring very formal clothes). Thank you for all your videos, which are extremely valuable in organising the trip!
My wife just purchased a very nice tea pot from Fortnum & Mason a few hours ago!
Nice!
What about the Langham Hotel? it got the seal of approval by mum in 2019 (and oh boy can she be picky)
I've not done the tea there! Thanks for watching.

Think it's one per two pp. But you've already had so much food so ...
Looks lovely! However, when running around London doing “Touristy” things all day I won’t be wearing my “Sunday Best”. Are there places to have an afternoon tea where I won’t feel under dressed with everyday clothes?
Sure !
The dry ice is so cool
It is! Thanks for watching
