150k a year sounds great until you factor in we work the equivalent of 2 full time jobs to earn that much money. We are away from home 90% of the time. It's a job you do because you love it because it's not worth it for the money
Eactly. A drived doing overnight Brisbane Sydney and return could be away from home 40 hours. 6 nights is 120 hours. Add in food etc and tax. Not a lot realy, 70 plus hour at the wheel depending on traffic. A wages person does 36 hours, has cups of coffee at a desk, gets paid for sick days etc, and home with family every night@matthewhaywood7411
No it's not BS. My pay rate starts at $44.50 + per hour depening on how many trailers I hauling and what shift Im working, I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week 52 weeks a year.
Even of your a lazy truck driver on say 54c a km and your only doing about 5000kms a week you will do $140,000 before allowances. I have family members who are in the low 200's a year.
$150,000 per year ????? it's easy to find a bloke with a truck license. Not to easy to find a truck driver...
That's the thing, I have seen many with truck licence, and they never once been in the back of the truck's wheel.
Can i Use the USA CDL to drive in australia? Or i have to make a test?first
@@Portdjtyuj You need to obtain a positive skills assessment that shows you have the equivalent Australian truck driving training and qualifications

hello sir, how can I get a job as a truck driver at your place?
I'm not sure about your location, but I think some companies in Perth would be hiring.
