@@christopherpooler5398 For me the same, CFH has to be their best imo because it's the perfect blend of their previous stuff with emerging new style they'd developed further on Vulgar.

I was never a huge fan of the pre 1990 Pantera albums, but I will say that Power Metal has some pretty cool moments. Aside from Cowboys from Hell, it's the only other place you get to hear Phil's shrieking high pitched vocals, and there's songs like "We'll Meet Again" that are pretty unique and catchy. Sure they were riding the corny "glam metal" trend of the 80's, but their live shows of this era were still incredibly powerful and they brought just as much intensity as they did during the Cowboys From Hell era.
Yeah when I first got into PanterA back in 1992. I didnt know about this nor any of there albums with Terry Glaze. Not until 1996 from a metal edge magazine. It showed all these bands before and after pics. It had a small part of Pantera lookin how they look here. Then it said there was 4 albums before CFH. So I scouted them like crazy. Finding those reborn classics bootlegs. It was a trip to hear them like this. But one thing for sure is those albums kick ass.
Anyone else feel like this song ends way too soon? Like it starts to fade out right as the song begins to reach its climax. Should've gone on for at least 8 more bars. The last 45 seconds are the most intense @ 3:12
Absolutely yes! Actually feels like it should have had a bit more earlier, like some sort of interlude thing, longer choruses too. Killer song but yeah just feels way too short
This is such a great album. Phil could fucking sing! I like early Pantera for Phil’s voice and all Pantera for the music. Just amazing. Pantera and Alice In Chains. 🤘
This sounds like Rob Halford/Geoff Tate influence for sure. I just cant believe how awesome Phil's vocals were on this album. You can here a good bit of how amazing his vocals were on Cowboys from hell too but nothing like this album. If I could interview Phil I would ask him at what point in time did he loose the ability to sound like that and if he still could hit those notes during the Far beyond driven through Reinventing the steel era or not. But I know for sure he couldn't produce these type vocals for the last 15/20 years lol
Glam Pantera has to be some of the most underrated heavy metal
Glamtera? lol
@@MuggleKarp nice lol
I honestly would like to get the 80's Pantera albums remastered.
Yeah, the high gain treble is a bit much. Would love a version that doesn't sound like a recording of someone playing the songs from their phone.
Usually better when it's not remastered
Nah remasters suck. Megadeth is a perfect example. This album sounds exactly like it should. Pure fuckin gold.
Love this song. One of the best metal solos ever. We miss you Dimebag!
I agree so much I was born to late to see him perform but once I get a reliable truck I'll go see him one day
R.I.P. Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell.
Who?

Thanks man
Best solo ever🎸
This is actually the only Pantera album from the 80s that vinnie Paul never neglected to mention
Even Phil talks about it, but he says it's his least favorite.
The true is: he can't sing this
That's because it's good!
