When l was 14 years old, my Three year old brother Eddy Ray died, he has suffered so much with a fever of 108` they packed his little body in ice. Well at the funeral home l was curious so l went around to other rooms. I will never forget what l saw. Their was a tiny little white casket, The baby only lived for 1 hour. As God is my witness l saw the most beautiful see through white haze over the baby. It arc over the whole room. Years later l told a Funeral Director, he said what l saw was that baby's guardian angel. I thought that at the time. So beautiful!

@@KaritheMortician I have a ghost video where I was taking a walk and a car accident happened. The ambulance came, they had the body on a gurnee and you can see a whitetish figure of a person floated above the body. I only saw that looking over the footage.
In the Keeper's house across the street from the lighthouse the lady behind the gift shop counter showed me a picture from a police report of a man, his body had been found shot to death, who knows if he was shoot there or just dumped there before the place was fixed up.
I took the girl to the back where the body was found, she haddened told me where he'd been found, and showed her a picture on the wall of folks back in the 1800's that had worked there. The picture of the guy on the wall and the picture of the dead man looked like identical twins. Figure that one out.
I've got lots of ghost buds at the lighthouse down the street from me, mostly they're nice but some are not.

I was around the age 16, my mother brother got killed at a young age of 30. The second night after his death my mother was sitting in the living the next morning stuck in a daze, she finally told us the night before around 1:45 A.M she received a missed call from the funeral home where he brother was, after calling that morning to see who may have called she was informed nobody living was there that time of night, they thought my mother was lossing her mind. Long and behold the night before his funeral, the phone rings around 1:45 and the caller ID speaks out the funeral home name "incoming call from James barn funeral home" we all are looking crazy at each other. My mother answers the phone and all I could hear was "HELLO hello" then she finally says " Tyrone, I know this is you, you can finally rest now we are okay" and the phone hangs up.. Shortly after the livingroom light turns off and we all are screaming scared out of our mind, my brother finally muster up the courage to get up and turn the light back on.. My uncle's picture was in the middle of the floor.. I will never forget that night ever, it was as if he was saying his final goodbyes..

I had a weird experience in a church when I was a kid. I went to Catholic school so we would have to go inside the church and wait for all the students to get there, and then we would all be taken together into the school building. Well, this one morning my mom has dropped me and my brother off early to school so we were the first arrivals and were alone in the sanctuary. Mind you, this was an old Catholic Church so it was huge. Me and my brother were sitting in the pews across the middle aisle from each other in our designated section. After sitting there in the quiet for a bit, we heard the huge entrance door to the church open so we both turned around to see who was coming in. We didn’t see a soul, but you could hear the sound of footsteps walking all the way up the aisle right passed and in between us…but no body, just the footsteps. I was about 6 years old when this happened and still remember it vividly to this day it was so bizarre.

Back in the 70s my Dad drove ambulance part time. It was the station wagon type ambulance before vans were used. He was transporting a body to a funeral home and going down the highway he looks in the rear view mirror and sees the white sheet is now raised up in the back. So he pulls over off the highway as fast as he can and gets out of the ambulance and gets the courage to peek in the back. The sheet had blown up and got caught on the rear dome light from wind coming through the side windows lol. Poor guy 🤣

I was raised Catholic and attended many funerals growing up. It became obvious to me that no matter how still the air was at the cemetery a breeze always kicked up at the grave site ceremony. I fully believe that it is the spirits of relatives who have passed and are joining the funeral to welcome the deceased. Several other family members observed the same thing and agree with me.

Love these stories!! I believe that there are definitely different things that are present among us. My mother in law purchased an old 3 1/2 story Victorian home that was a little over 100 yrs old, you talk about hearing strange noises or smelling like old cigar smoke or perfumes! My daughter when she was younger spent the night with her grandmother there, and was laying on a fold away bed in the living room bored. She leaned up against the wall, and all of a sudden she heard a loud noise and something black started to wrap itself all around her!! After screaming and waking up her grandmother, she just laughed and said that she was testing the big vent behind the cot, and taped a large black trash bag all around the opening so when the big rattling furnace kicked on, she could glance over at the bag and see if it was filling up then would know if it was working properly!!! 😂😂😂

My cousin married a man who ran a funeral home with his father. They lived above the funeral home in an apartment. My cousin said she saw a woman in a red dress walk past the doorway...alarmed thinking a guest got lost, she didn't see the woman once she passed the door (no exits the way she was going) She ran down to her husband who was working and she told him. It was one of the people laid out that day. A woman in a red dress that looked like the ghost. My cousin moved out soon after..

Not a funeral director but I stayed at my brother’s (funeral director) place when I helped him move. His new job let him stay in the makeshift apartment over the old funeral home. This place was in a decline since the 1970’s and has since been torn down. The water did not work in the apartment so we had to use the bathrooms which were down next to the casket room. Walking down there late at night to brush my teeth was a nerve racking experience for me. That same night I also felt the recliner (old recliner was already there) I was sitting in move. I jumped out and we dubbed it the “Archie bunker chair” and no one sat in it afterward. My brother took the couch that night and I got the floor, but I had my sleeping bag right there next to the couch. That place was creepy as hell. The more fun experience that night was stumbling on a stack of vintage playboys that were left in the old unused prep-room. Silver lining to an otherwise freaky night.

Sometimes souls do stay attached to their bodies after death. I'm a bartender going to mortuary school and I had many bars that I worked at
that were totally haunted! I even would talk to one spirit there that I would talk to I was was closing the bar and I had learned his name and would ask him if he was there and he would move things to lt me know. It was cool because I felt protected by him.

I worked at funeral homes for years as an embalmer and funeral director. One day we had a number of funerals and I stayed behind to lock up because we were tired. After sitting down for a little while I saw a shadowy figure moving through the chapel area and it came to a back room where I was taking down some sound equipment but it didn't bother me. There is something in these places but I don't know what it is!

I've had several paranormal experiences but I don't tell too many people because I think people would think I'm waco but here I go. I've had the smell of a wafting perfume go past me while I'm just sitting. I woke up one day with the sensation of someone running their fingers through my hair. I've had a Cross on my wall turned upside down. The two most that stay with me is my dad died first and I brought my mom home with me to spend the night. She slept with me and sang " Jesus loves me" to me. She was very spiritual. Two weeks later she passed away suddenly. A couple months after, I got into my bed one night and felt the other side of my bed go down as if someone got into my bed. It totally freaked me out the first time it happened but then I realize that this could be my mother. Now it doesn't happen as much but still does. I'm no longer afraid of this. The second one is the time I was sitting in my Apt. and it was so hot that night that I couldn't sleep so I'm thinking I'm going to move my furniture to the other side of the room. Lol. I thought about it for a few and decided to just go up to bed. No sooner I get into bed, I hear this pop pop noise. I went back downstairs and my TV antenna was blown off my TV, a bullet was stuck in the wall and another was wedged in the outside wall. If I had been moving my furniture I would be right in the line of fire. What I'm getting to is that my sister had passed away suddenly a week before. I feel perhaps she was my Angel. Also, she lived next door to me and my lights would flicker off and on and I would hear cupboards shutting. One night my cat made a screeching noise all of a sudden like she saw something. I hear that animals can see what we can't. I'm sorry it seems like I wrote a novel here ! Lol. I don't see dead people lol but I sure have had eerie happenings. Thanks for sharing your video!!!

December of 2016. I saw what I thought was dust and did my best to debunk it but couldn’t explain it. I was recording all of this and my kitty and I played it back and someone said, “yeah!” in an extremely loud whisper. Haven’t heard or seen anything sense but certainly would love to! I hope to see my mom! - anyway, great topic tonight!

Hi Kari, you know me as the police officer so this was at home when it happened. Dad passed, that night a soft white glowing orb traveled from the foot of the bed gently all over my brother's (adult) bedroom. When mom passed he and his wife were gathering up a few things in her room and the exact same thing happened but they both saw it. This one I think will interest you. After work sometimes some of us meet up for a pint to unwind. There is one funeral director we all know and he will show up at times. He came in one evening and I knew something was wrong. He was jumpy at people getting loud and so on. He said there was an experience and so once he was sure I do believe in the unknown he outed it. It happened at 3am the morning before. He picked up a female, 70's from the hospital in my little suburb outside of Austin and returning to Austin you go down a country road called Hairy Man R. It's covered in mature oak trees than hang low over the road. All of a sudden, the doors to his van flew open (back) and he saw the figure of a woman in soft, glowing white and she was running away. I haven't seen him around in quite some time. None of the other officers haven't either. Thanks for letting me listen some, it helps me unload if it's been one of those days from hell.

Kari thank you for this! As I mentioned in a previous videos comment, I was moving into an old funeral home and I was worries about the energy in the home but I have been here for a month now and have felt so peaceful. I have not been (too) worried about paranormal things happening. However like your experience with the old homes owner dying I do have a strong suspicion that one day when the previous owner of this home (he raised his family here for about 40 to 50 years) passes away he will probably be the spirit that I would see in this place. Thank you all for this amazing video. I too have been delaying putting up my security cameras but I may just have a bit more courage to do so now.

50 years ago, several relatives spoke of an elderly friend of the family passing away in the days when folks set up with the deceased. The watch person fell be asleep and when they be woke up, the deceased had got out of the casket, walked to a chair and picked up a newspaper. The coins that were placed over the eyes were on the pillow in the casket. These were the days the viewings were held in the family's home.

I had my own heating service and installation business. One of my customers was a funeral home. The owners were old family friends. I went there on a water leak at the steam boiler that heated the building. The boiler was cracked, and needed replacement. Part of the process you have to measure the building and calculate the heat load in order to replace the old heating unit with the correct size new boiler. A good friend of mine worked at the heating supply company I was going to order the new boiler from, so I called him to come over and help measure the building. He did not want to be in the funeral home,or it's spooky 200 year old cellar. Of course one of the rooms we had to measure was the embalming room. My friend was beside himself! There was a sheet over the prep table, my friend said I think someone is under there! He was still talking about his funeral home adventure for weeks! Nothing paranormal happened, or anything else! What the Heck is up with people's fear of funeral homes, anyway?

My father passed away in another state and I had to fly there and go into the empty house. I found the key outside in the hidden spot and turned the key in the lock. I open it about 2 inches and felt a very distinct PUSHING back on that door as if someone was behind the door. I was so freaked out. I went to the back door and tried there. The same PUSHING occurred. Ugh! Finally, I went to a second back door and saw through a window that my father had installed those break-in deterrents --a kind of door wedge that you install under the doorknob and it reaches to the floor. But my heart was beating like crazy.

Working at a funeral home, I never saw anything move or any shadows, etc. But oftentimes. I felt as if someone else was in the room or standing by me. It was never scary or intimidating. Sometimes it felt really positive which put me in a better mood. But oftentimes it was neutral or a little feeling of sadness. The sadness was especially around the suicide cases.
I enjoyed the work in a weird way. I don't wish for anyone to lose someone, but everyone will die. I enjoyed helping to serve them in whatever way possible. I know I will be served one day myself.... I got out of it because the pay was low and I got to eat lol. I am thinking about going to school and trying to become a mortician.

2103, walking through the Bartonville Insane Asylum in Bartonville IL, before they tore the main building down, I had a handful of experiences. My iPhone, charged to 50 percent, started acting up as soon as I walked in. The camera wouldn’t work, the video camera refused to take any video, and eventually my phone died completely. My digital camera was also malfunctioning and at some point it died as well. Me and a group of people in my tour heard a baby crying in the attic (which used to be the nursery wing when the hospital was open). The tour consisted of people 12 and over only, so there were no babies or toddlers anywhere. I constantly felt like something was following me, even when I was by myself and no one else was around.
When the tour ended and I left the building, my phone and digital camera began working normally again.
In 2017, I visited another building that was part of the Bartonville Insane Asylum (this building still stands). I had a crapload of experiences here. It was truly an amazing night!
I am a paranormal freak and have had other experiences. Can’t wait to have more!

When I was in high school and college I volunteered in my home town ambulance service. It had been in operation since 1946. The ambulance garage was a 1 bay garage behind the Easton Ct firehouse. We had run all Cadillac ambulances from 1946 until 1982. Often while doing paperwork in the evening i would hear an old rotary siren in the distance. Initially i would get up to see what was coming down rte 59. Nothing would come and it was silent out side.

When my Mum passeed recently, we were there chatting at the funeral home, about hair, make-up, etc. Just me & the hairdresser, as the director himself left to pick up his kids. Well we were on a duo call with my brother & we could hear soft laughter, off & on, & after finishing the call, there was a voice, faint and soft, but I kept talking anyway to her, but she was getting fidigity, etc. I'm just kind of chuckling, like , "My mum loved playing jokes & this is a funeral home after all" but she was terrified, when funeral director returned, she was like glue on him, asking if it was he that had been speaking, but his answer was a bewildered 'No." Needless to say she excused herself. Next day we meet up again, so far so good, --or so I thought, I knew I couldn't do to my Mum what had to be done to cut her hair, because it was my Mum, & she did a great job, however, when I went in to help with the makeup, it was me, the funeral director, & the hairdresser. We were all laughing & cutting up...not in a disrespectful way, but that is who I am & who my Mum was. Anyway she tells me to put on lip color with a brush & even at 5' 10", I was taller than the others, but couldn't reach & was practically laying on her to attempt this, then I gave the brush to the funeral director & laughingly told him to try, well again begain the soft laughter & we were the only 3 in the building. Unfortunately the hairdresser quit after all was done, but for me it was a blessing. Perhaps our loved ones really do check in on us. I don't believe "supernatural" or "paranormal" has to be something evil or scary. Because to this day he & I joke about it & it brings a bit of comfort.

I can speak about spirits in the room of the last dying moments of life. My mother in law for one passing at home where we live.
I worked with the elderly in nursing home, in home care and during their end of life and hospice. The spirit stays on the room.
    My husband could see his
    Mother’s spirit in the room.
He have had 2 people pass in our home.
My husband is often woken. Often he has good spirits above the bed. Sometimes he hears his
Moms voice that wakes him. They don’t scare us.

It’s fascinating. Most every funeral directors I’ve worked with don’t report many paranormal experiences associated with funeral homes. Most instances I’ve heard of occur either where the deceased lived, died, or a favorite place like a home. The other thing I’ve had people report is where a violent death occurred, but never in a funeral home. I’ve worked with a lot of funeral directors for more than 50 years; having early worked in a funeral home during college, and my professional life is as a clergyman. Most everyone I know in the business has the feelings that paranormal events occur in places associated either with a place dear to the departed: home, church, etc. As a clergyman I have occasionally had a strange electric shock when I placed my hand on a coffin at the grave, but that could be static electricity. I’ve had some of those types of experiences, and some other mystical things. I worked as a hospital chaplain and have had some experiences at the death of patients and one example of contact from a patient after death. I realize these experiences could be manufactured by my mind, so I have never been able to really decide which are real and which my mind manufactured.

I began having precognitive dreams when I was three years old predicting the death or murder of people I never met before. Considering I was born in 71, it was taboo to talk about those things back then, so I only had my mom to talk to about it. Later, she would see a news report describing a murder that I told her would happen a week before and it would freak her out.
As I got older, my senses have changed, and I see things while awake and had my first clairvoyant experience while watching the Christopher Watts confession video. I remember thinking how screwed he was because I could tell he was lying while being interrogated by law enforcement but it all suddenly changed whenl he said, "I did NOT hurt those girls...." I was no longer riding in the backseat of my car watching the video....I was inside the Watts home and could see everything around me including who was there and who was responsible for the murder of his wife and kids.
I see spirits all the time that give me messages for loved ones left behind, the funny part is they don't scare me but dead people do. I think it's the decomposing body that scares me but the spirits are harmless lol. I thank God there are people like this panel that do the job I would NEVER want to do.

During the depression, my grandfather would take any job he could get. This job was painting in this funeral home. A old big victorian mansion..he was on the ladder painting in this room. In this room was a coffin ...he never paid attention to it. Here he was seriously painting...suddenly he heard something...like someone passing gas...so he turned around with one hand on the paint brush and the other holding the paint container . Here a corpse had sat up in the coffin! ...my grandfather fell off the ladder losing his balance. The paint went flying in the air...he was so frightened he crawled as fast as he could out the building.. .and never went back. He was in his 20's.

I've had many paranormal experiences, and I won't go into them all. For one, my cousin Alan was born when I was thirteen, and he died as a crib death when he was four months old. Before hearing of his passing, I had fallen asleep and dreamed that I was in an attic, with many boxes piled around me. I took one little box down and opened it. Inside was what looked like a baby doll. The phone rang, and woke me up. After a few minutes of talking on it, she hung up the receiver and I heard her tell my father, "poor little Alan's dead". I never told my parents or anyone else for fear I'd be told I was crazy. But I've always remembered that dream and can even remember details from it. Today, I feel it was Alan saying goodbye.

While in college I worked both as an ambulance driver, and I explored getting into the funeral business. At the early stages I had to learn that many things people would think as spooky were easily explainable. Things like moans from air moving from the lungs, other things like in the old days, bodies sitting up in coffins, etc. I’ve heard that funeral homes are not haunted, precisely like the lady expressed, the spirit stays at home. The strangest experience I had was at the hospital; the nurses used to tease about the sheep coming to take the dead away. Sure enough, as death was approaching patients, there was the smell of a sheep. One night when leaving work; I saw this ghostly white sheep like figure that was transparent pass through an outside locked door leading into a wing of the hospital. Sure enough, I asked next day and a person died around that time on that wing. Never figured out if I imagined it or not, but sure looked real to me. Other things I’ve experienced are a sense that someone close has died. One day as a teen when I got off the school bus I had a strong feeling someone had died. I went in and asked mother who died that day, and one of our friends had been killed in and accident. Never able to figure out what these experiences mean; just know I had them. Later as a clergyman I had other experiences after the deaths of some people: not all. So I’m still not certain what the reality of these things was; I just live with the mystery.

One night an orderly and I were making rounds, I was on the side of the bed looking out towards the door. in the doorway I saw a dark cloaked figure, it was hovering, I ran out into the hallway and saw nothing, the patient died about an hour later. when we went into the room after his body was removed, the temperature was normal.

Hi Kari and everyone! Hope you're doing great. A bit lengthy but here's my input on the matter:
In Buddhism we believe in reincarnation. Which you could say is the closest to science, because when you look at science everything just goes in an endless loop. Or cycle. Water evaporates and comes back as rain, wood turns to ashes goes to the ground and new trees grow. Etc, etc. Matter cannot be created nor destroyed as Einstein puts it. That's the natural order of things, otherwise where does everything or everybody go? So when humans die there is an intermediate state where the energy roams (Christians call it Soul; different people call it different things) while awaiting to be picked up by a new body. This energy cannot be seen nor heard by the naked human senses. In most cases it couldn't even be felt (sometimes yes and that's when people call it a 'paranormal' experience). It is simply the energy that powers a body. Like a radio signal up in the air waiting to be picked up by the radio. Again this ties in to science because scientists believe in Dark Matter (folks can look that up). And Dark Matter, according to scientists, is a type of matter that cannot be seen nor heard nor felt, and is very hard to detect. Sometimes though, it can run into Normal Matter and cause them to move (paranormal experiences sound familiar?). So I believe that when humans die and enter the intermediate state while awaiting rebirth, the energy (or soul as some would put it) is in the form of Dark Matter. :)

Another funeral home I worked on, another very old building, had a large room in the basement next to the boiler room, that had small different shaped framed mirrors, on all four walls, head high so you could stand and look directly into them. I asked the Funeral Director what that was all about. He told me that way back when his uncle and dad operated the Home, during the 1918 flue epidemic they were using coffins with viewing windows, because open casket viewings we're not done because of the pandemic. If you did your arrangements ahead of time, you could see what you'd look like in the coffin. Lord, how times have changed!!!
