My favorite patch note is where the sims can't leave a building, like school, to avoid a meteor, so they all just have to die cuz school is just that important.
It was more like:
Sims will now automatically leave a building which is going to be hit by a meteor, unless it is a school where they are not allowed to leave and will die
Today, we will be learning why meteors are dangerous.
This will be a live demonstration.
Children, stay on class, you are being rude to the presenter if you leave.
We will be watching from afar outside the school.

Teens can definitely die in the sims. It was my birthday and I was aging into a young adult. I was excited because at this point I've been playing a few hours and my romance was doing good so I wanted to age up before getting engaged. My cake caught on fire, set me on fire, and just when I got to the shower I died in front of my mom.

A teen I named Jamie Navienne died from a fire when he was grilling but all is well I went back in time (old save) and he’s alive

I actually had a teen die from a school meteor. I tried to get them out, didn’t work. But now I know the answer.
What's sad is if I had Sims then I would have SO tried for a baby with the grim reaper. That kid would be badass.

no for 1 he only did sims 4 (i will say the developers actually did a patch or 2 because of him in that game) also these patches were made probably before Jim Pickens was the name of a sims (also on another note i will never forgive EA for spending the time to patch the ice party thing when that would never happen normally WHILE THERE ARE SEVERAL GAME BREAKING BUGGS AND HORRIBLE EXPANSION/STUFF/GAME PACKS THAT ARE MORE SHALLOW THAN A 1 INCH POOL.)

I was playing the Sims 4 yesterday, and I had my Sim caring for his toddler before he went to the bathroom. AND THE TODDLER DECIDED TO LITERALLY STICK TO HIS HAND, AND I COULDN’T GET HER OFF. Eventually, I just had to restart the game, and now little Amelia has finally mastered walking.

Call Me Kevin has a fair number of hilarious Sims videos, many of which star our lord and savior Jim Pickens.
The sims is a pretty big game and full of virtually limitless variables the more that you play
Eventually something fucks up or isn't compatible
A good example of this is the glitch that allows incest if you've been playing the game through too many generations
It starts to get confused adding up all the family trees and glitches are far more likely to happen as a result
A lot of physical bugs are due to how customisable the world is and the fact that with custom content, there's virtually limitless ways to have environments and objects interact with one another
Something as simple as an animation in a specific jacket may not look as smooth as it would in just a t shirt due to clipping
Or the different heights of sims or weight of them can change how smoothly they intersperse with the environment
Multiple effects can stack as well, but some visible effects may not have an animation sequence a sim is about to do, so they just lose the visible effect and so on
A good example of that is fucking zombies. When the hordes of zombies rise up around your house on a full moon, they will remain there all night until the next morning, then they leave your property by hilariously getting into cars and disappearing
But if it's raining, there's no animation for zombie sims to get into cars after putting up umbrellas, so they suddenly turn human to do that after spending 4 hours shuffling and growling and moaning at your window whilst green lmao

This is the virtual equivalent of those funny dead letter laws or ridiculous warnings that seem obvious to anyone with common sense. You know they must have happened to someone at some point, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. You know that someone had the police called on them for a situation involving a donkey sleeping in a bathtub in Arizona, and that someone with a peanut allergy sued a company for not making it clear that their peanut butter *may* contain nuts.

1:19 I can’t believe it. My life has been a lie. My friend and I tried multiple times to have kids with the grim reaper in the sims, it took us years. Only tried 3 times but still. But we saw it on RUclips so we knew it was ‘possible’. I can’t BELIEVE it wasn’t possible since 2009..
