  • In this session of $1/2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em, we find ourselves at a particularly crazy table with players willing to straddle to extreme amounts. These players definitely have a bit of gamble in them! Our poker strategy has to adapt in order to play around what may not be a typical range of hands and play styles, but we manage to make it benefit in our favor for a big win. We can't win them all though, and some valuable lessons are learned along the way!

    Had to comment. River brings a flush and pairs the board and the dude says I don't know why you would check the turn and bet the river, that was hilarious.

    Very interesting vlog. I really enjoyed it but definitely alot of mistakes. A3hh hand the river paired and you said you had the nuts. QJhh hand you had a open ended plus 3rd nut flush since the King wasn't a heart. definitely looking forward more vlogs. Man I wish I could play in Texas.

      Thanks for watching, Poktaun! You're right, I definitely made a few mistakes in putting the video together. The funny thing is, I had these things right at the table, and I just transcribed them incorrectly when preparing the video. I distinctly remember being worried that the board paired when I hit the flush on that A3hh hand, as you called out. If you ever make it out to Texas to play, let me know!

    I absolutely had a similar session the other night. In for 300 out with 1390. Not a bad 6 hr session. I watch these vlogs and get insight and I do think they help immensely.

      That's awesome, Tim! So glad to feel like they're helpful. Just a fair warning that I don't claim to know what I'm doing LOL, so take my plays with a grain of salt! 😉

    Been enjoying the vlogs man. On the A8 suited hand I think that’s a good turn to continue barreling. You pick up equity and most of your opponents calling range will be a pair + draw. If you get raised on the turn it’s an easy fold. But if the river bricks out like it did, then you can easily fire a 3rd barrel and most players will fold those hands. Just some thoughts :)

      Oh snap, my bad dude! You left this comment, and I actually had to go check your video cause I'm so bad at remembering peoples' phrases, and I wasn't sure if you were alluding to yourself or another vlogger. I basically black out whenever I do these intros and outros cause I'm so bad at remembering what I want to say during them. 😅

    Hi new subscriber here I play for a living and you play pretty good poker. Only thing when you misread your hand on that ace4 show that bluff bc it was not way you usually play it so will confuse them into calling next time you have it

    • @HuggiePoker
      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      Hey Daniel, thanks for the sub! I probably could have shown my hand there as you mentioned, but I was so caught up in my mess up that I just was relieved to take the hand down and move on. I definitely have done what you said in other spots, and I actually just did during my most recent session! You'll see in one of my upcoming vlogs where I made that work in my favor.

    • @HuggiePoker

      I'm using Pokerbase, which is free. It's good for the price, but there are a few more advanced features it's missing. There are other options that cost money, depending on what you're looking for.

      I pro told me one of the biggest mistakes if u want to play poker 4 a living in poker is tipping 2 much I don't kno if you are trying 2 make a living out of poker or u just play once a week but think about it 40 dollars a day time 5 day 200 dollars a week and 800 a month now that's ove 10 thousand a year 10 years is a 100 thousand and this is if u run just ok if u run really good u tip more each time just don't want you to make the same mistake I kne the dealers have 2 make money but if u want to play in the long run keep your tips the same amount the best poker player In the room will tip less than u and every dealer will talk about him but he us making the most money than anyone there I mad the same mistake when I started playing I would win a 1000 dollar pot and tip 25 dollars u will lose in the long run look into it and ask pros that u play with wish u all the best and a long poker career and on RUclips

      @HuggiePoker  2 года назад

      @@jrfogarty9221 Yeah, that all makes sense, thanks for sharing. I'm not currently playing professionally and have a steady job for income, so it's not a concern on that front. But your point still stands as a general consideration for my hourly rate at poker and calculating profit in the end. I will probably reel it in a bit TBH except for some exceptionally big pots.
