Radio Taiso Quarantine Exercise

- I know a lot of us are stuck at home, so I made an instructional video for you to follow along with me. The radio taiso exercise is a famous Japanese morning stretch that promotes blood circulation and stretches out the whole body. Happy quarantine!

I am a kindergarten teacher and have been doing it with my students every morning before we start lessons for the past few months. I have noticed the students have better focus and energy during class when we do it. On the days we skipped it or forgot, the students feel more frazzled and sleepy. This is a staple I couldn't go without now. Thank you!
this is so heartwarming to read. Glad the video helped you!
I first saw Japanese council workers doing this in a park across from my hotel in Kabukicho and it stuck with me. Definitely different from Australian council workers who start the day with a black coffee and a cigarette.
Thanks for sharing this, have started doing this.
Thanks for watching! Cheers.
I’ve been having issues with maintaining a sleep schedule lately due to medications. My doctor pointed me toward taiso/radio calisthenics. Whenever I feel groggy during the daytime I get up and do these exercises. Keeping myself awake and alert through the day helps me sleep through the night. Thank you for providing these. They are a fun and relaxing way to keep myself healthy
That’s so cool that doctors recommend this stretch! I hope doing these stretches helps you :) I should do them more often as well

I decided to do these exercises for the same reason! Often times I get sleepy in the afternoon for a while which is really annoying haha
I came to know about this exercise while reading the book "Ikigai"... Thank you so much. You wonderfully demonstrated the exercise.
Currently reading the book too. And now I'm searching what radio taiso. 😂
Same! I have started doing this every morning when I wake up!
Glad it was helpful!
Qqq
Me too!
As an artist who spends all day sitting at a PC I realize doing exercise is very important for the maintenance of health. However I have hypermobility and deal with chronic pain so finding an exercise I can do was a bit depressing to me, but I can do this with no problems and find it very helpful, so thank you for posting! ^_^
glad this could help you. Cheers!
I've been doing this every day for a month. it's quick and stops me from being grumpy for having to wake up for work. Thank you so much
Thank you very much Jason, I really enjoy starting my mornings with these exercises. The english subtitles help
Glad you like them!

That felt awesome!!! I could definitely tell just how wound up I was from rarely moving in quarantine. And to topit off it was really fun! Thank you Subaru and the author/writer of Re: Zero!
Haha, no way I found another RE: zero reader here, this is exactly how I first found out about this aswell. Life is too funny sometimes
@@nightie1stan913 I still do these (almost) every day! A great warm up for your day.
@@2BsWraith Great! Then I shall follow suit!😎 Already have a 3 day streak, only 352 left for 1 year 🙄😎
I’ve been doing this every day for about two weeks. I can’t wait to have it totally memorized
I’ve been doing this every day for 2 weeks to get me into a morning exercise routine and I am absolutely loving it. It’s a great way to start the day.
Thank you! ❤
Read about radio taiso from the book Ikigai, looked it up and now I'm here.
Trying to use the exercises everyday.
Thank you 😊
This is now apart of my morning routine.
I've been doing this every morning for a couple weeks, plus whenever I feel super stressed or stiff from sitting during the day. My kids look at me like I'm crazy, but don't worry, they will be doing it soon too. Thanks Jason!
I heard about the 3-minute Japanese workout while watching a Facebook video. I have begun to add it to my morning routine before I walk my dog. It is great to get the day started and get the blood flowing without a very intense stretch. Thank you so much for posting it is much appreciated. It is definitely something we hear in America should add.
Thank you for generously sharing this, especially during 2020 when we were all quarantined in our houses. This video is very helpful!
This is my favorite version of the radio Taisos on RUclips. Thankyou for posting I’ve shown this to so many folks ❤from Az, USA
Thank you!
Definitely the easiest one to follow that I've been searching
Thanks gonna try to practice this with my auntie every day
Jason,
After this new ACNH update, the video is gonna see some new views; get ready fam
P.S. Earlier this year I managed to get almost everyone in my office to take taiso breaks with me, so thanks for making this easy to follow video 🙇♀️
I've been trying to develop my mental and physical health at the same time so I've been doing this practice every morning and afternoon and it's helping me a lot :))
Best demo of Radio Taiso! Thanks so much! Hint to others, it helped me to use RUclipss built in speed control. I reduced the speed to 75% to help me follow along and learn it. Then back to full speed. 😉
When I first saw this I was like what the fuck is this shit
Now after I did it I feel a little bit more energetic and happier
Thank you Jason for the lesson and for your kindness aswell. Stay safe.
Didn't even know someone made a video on this until I was like "what was the order again?" lol. This is actually a surprisingly effective way to limber up, get rid of night time stiffness, and get a light heart workout to make your blood start flowing!
Thank you for spreading this!
Excellent! Thank you so much for posting this! Love and regards from India!
I set my timer to do this every hour. Thank you!
Thank you for helping us learn the movements and also the reason why they are good to do. Great video!
im in home quarantine rn and i used this for morning exercise ❤️みんな、気をつけてください💕
Great exercise to get charged up anytime for the day. Keep posting these secrets for easy and healthy life.
Really wanted to say thank you for this video! I was recently in a bad car accident and haven't been able to get back to my regular morning yoga routine. This has been a wonderful thing I can do to get my morning going and it so makes me miss being in Japan haha. Stay safe and healthy!
Thank you so much, Jason!
¡Muchas gracias, Jason!
From / desde el Perú 🇵🇪❤️
ikigai brought me here...this will become part of my daily,,Thank you so very much Sir...
That was extremely refreshing. Thank you for being a part of my everyday morning routine now. Stay safe and healthy!
I've got interested in this exercise due to the movie Unbroken when the prisoners are kept at the concentration camp at Ofuna.
Thanks a lot for demonstrating it
woahh this seems intresting! where can i watch this movie?
Thank you for the wonderful video, Jason!
doing this felt good. saving this to archive
You know you have bad metabolism when you relaise you can't do a simple stretching exercise without feeling tired 😭
Hai
THANK YOU!!!! I downloaded this to use at work at my desk!!!! Thank you
I’ll start doing this every morning
I started doing these because any movement is better Than no movement. As a result we discovered a lot of my shoulder pain is due to the fact that my shoulders almost never go through their full range of motion. On top of that my mornings are now easier.
This is really good to alleviate muscle soreness from weightlifting. Thank you Jason!!
Thanks jason, that was a wonderful experience
A couple of times a week I do this exercise (I know I should do it daily) but my body really feels more relaxed after doing this.
Funnily enough I first learned about this exercise months ago while watching an anime called Re:Zero where a specific episode showed the exercise. Fast forward today I randomly remebered about this exercise and I plan to start trying it out every morning as it looks really engaging and the music is catchy as well.
Thanks for watching :)
no lie this has been incredibly helpful for me thanks for the video!
As a skateboarder who is constantly suffering small injuries & trying to find ways to stretch more, I am absolutely going to try & work this into my daily routine from now on. This seems like a very healthy way to start the day & get my mind going with my body as well. Thank you.
Yay thanks for teaching us! When I got to the windmills, I felt how out of shape I am HAHA. I'm gonna do this daily from now on. Thank you again. :)
muchas gracias por su video.
Thank you for this, truly! I've followed the advice of another commenter and placed the link in my bookmarks bar so that I try and do this routine a few times in the week. I haven't worked out seriously in years and this feels like a great way to get back into the habit before something more intensive.
This has been really great for helping me wake up n do a warm up before my exercise. Thank you.
I did not think this would work but this made me feel a lot better in the morning, thank you!
Thank you, Jason, I just got back to work from being furloughed since April and have been back in the office for 5 weeks now. I was beginning to feel the tension in my back and shoulder blades while working at my computer. I feel energized and stress-free. The english subtitles help as well.
Akilah Wood You’re welcome!
Thank you, Jason, for sharing this video with us. I like to do these exercises and always feel better afterwards. Good luck with your video-channel. Greetings from Holland, Gisela
This is good. I appreciate the knowledge.
I'd recommend shouting victory at the end. It can give you a sense of accomplishment
I don't know how I missed seeing. Great job!
Thank you for making this!
im going to give it a go, thanks for the inspiration
Thank you Jason!!!
Good video with explanation of it. Good job
Thanks so much, especially for the explanations. In this short version it's very easy, but the long version (about 15 minutes) shows how effective it is. It's better than complicated physiotherapeutic excersices you can't do at home.
And I haven't read ikigai, but I love japanese culture - so it's normal for me to know about rajio taiso.
Usarei com meus alunos esta ginástica que fazia quando era operária no Japão. Muito obrigada!
I'm here after reading book ' Ikigai '.Fantastic book. Thanks for the tutorial, It helped me visualize the exercise better.
Beautifully followed by the piano.
Wow!
Great video, just did it and it is great!
Planning on doing it every morning!
Thank you very much for the video! 🙏🏽
This is awesome! This is the best one! It really makes you feel more energetic yet more relaxed at the same time. God bless you!

For some reason, a few weeks ago RUclips brought up a Radio Taiso video. I'd never heard of it! After some searching and reading, I found yours and I've been trying to do this exercise routine everyday. Thank YOU for making this video!
Thanks for watching 🙏 cheers!
ikigai brought me here...this will become part of my daily routine...
Thank you for getting me moving this morning! I should start my mornings off like this more often 🤔

But yea this just reminds me of re zero cuz in the anime there was a scene where subaru did radio calisthenics with emilia
I've been doing this for two weeks now. because a certain vtuber said radio taiso. I've been intrigued and found an old video about it.
this one is very detailed though, now I know the small mistakes that I made whilst exercising. thank you
I love it
Workers here at Isuzu Philippines Corporation do that exercise every 7:15 am but the voice instruction is in English.
Thank you so much. I have been having a hard time dealing with stress due to University and and work. However this video makes me feel alive and ready to bravely face the new day.
That was easy to follow
