Hi Aki, my husband and I watched this video, he is so impressed about your morning routine! He got up at 5am this morning, spend one hour cleaning our shower and toilet! Then he did yoga and walking, also he picked up the garbage from the park! Thank you so much to inspire him!
I've always been "a night owl", but since I forced myself to get up early (usually 05-06:00), make the bed and go for a 30-60min walk I've started to feel a whole lot better. Proper routines is really really important, even though I've neglected it all my life until I discovered the worth.
Hello Sir. Around 1 year back this video appear on my feed. This video made great impact on me. Even now when ever I feel I'm not doing good in my life. I watch this video for inspiration and make changes in my morning routine. I feel more fulfilled in my life after following this kind of morning routine. Thank you for this gem.
Hi Aki, you inspired me to create my own morning routine, and I even got into the habit of doing my own chores. This morning, I woke up a 5:00, cleaned my room, took a shower, and went on a walk. Your videos helped me in so many ways, like getting fit, cleaning my house, and even with becoming a minimalist! -Chariko
Hi Aki, I get up at 6:00 am, feed the dogs , have fruit for breakfast and then drive to my aquafit training at the pool. 1 hour later, I walk my dogs in a small forest for about 40 minutes. Then I tend to my garden. Since I am retired, I enjoy my active and natural lifestyle. I thoroughly enjoyed your video and give you thanks for it. Blessings from Canada.
I lived in Japan for a year and I loved the cleanliness of the culture. I prefer to clean at night before I go to bed. My house and body are clean so I feel that I get a better night's rest and when I wake up it gives me more time in the morning to workout. I love a cold shower to open my sense of being and usually helps with my alertness. This is a fantastic video for someone who wants to be more organized and productive.
Konnichiwa, Aki san. Watashi wa Canadajin eto I am 60 years old ~ but people ALWAYS tell me I look 40. Just by chance, I have been doing this routine for decades, simply because it felt good. Over the years, I have done this, on average, 5 days a week. Imagine what I have picked up in 43 years! Hello. I so agree with your rising early to have the best day. I am so lucky and live on the coast in England and I get up at 4:30 every morning and ride my bike at 5:00 along the seafront. The air is so magical then and I take in huge lungfuls of it. I try and pedal as fast and hard as I can because the exercise in the morning is the best way to start my day. Thank you for your videos. I've found your youtube channel recently and loved it so far! this video is really really inspring. I decided to try this matcha routine after seeing the effects on you. Thank your for the videos! I'll keep watching you! Have a great day!
it's amazing how many things can be done in the morning and I spend hours doing only one thing, every time I get up late I get a headache during the day, and I feel discouraged, I will adopt this method and get up earlier
Im obsessed with how organised your fridge is... Could you please maybe make a video about Japanese habit of managing fridge and maintain kitchen hygiene? Loveeee it !!!!!
I do a to do list it helps when you feel overwhelmed and dont know where to start. After the list is done I do one thing at a time until its done crossing off the chore is so satisfying. I need to improve my morning routine. I work till 1:00am every day so I have a hard time getting up early. If I try I can get to bed by 1:30 I can try to get up at 8:30 that would still be considered early for me then I can walk my dog who has more energy in the morning and would love to get out with me that early. Im going to try this.
I like the idea of cleaning and walking in the morning! I usually try to clean a little, so maybe it would be a good plant to wake up a few minutes earlier to get in a short walk! Thanks for another great video
You are such an amazing person! I live on the other side of the planet but I can feel your great energy through the screen and it's so motivating. And unlike other videos about ideal routines and lifestyle advice, that often can feel so pressuring and achievement-focused, yours actually feel so freeing and peaceful - even though you do a lot of tasking. Hi THANK YOU for your daily rutine ..my grandma used to clean her bedroom everynight before bed..I do whenever i feel like cleaning...but i wont from now on..thanks for your share
Greetings, thank you for producing these videos, they’re very inspiring! When I shower I start with hot water & gradually cool the temperature down until I finish with a very quick blast of cold water. The warm water helps relax stiffness in my muscles after sleeping, then the cool water wakes me up & energizes me completely. I’m going to try & get up earlier per your recommendations, morning is my favorite time of day as well. Keep up the terrific work!
My whole time goes sleep, sleep, sleep until 07.00. Take a shower, eat breakfast & run to the office. This is horrible. Ruining the morning is like ruining the whole day. I need to change my lifestyle. Thank you for your valuable content!
Hello from Montreal! I just want to say thank you for your content. I discovered your channel a few days ago and am already feeling the impact it has had on my life. Happiness and hugs, Kristy
Hello, I stumbled across your video. The best piece of advice for me was create your own morning routine. Always interesting to see how other people live. Cheers Vancouver Island Canada.
Real samurai! Good to know that’s possible. Even my cat watched it almost up to the end, he got so fascinated! My routine takes longer and sometimes it’s draining.
Hello from Brazil Aki! RUclips just recently recommended me your channel and i am fascinated! Learning about your lifestyle in a small village in Japan, with all those beautiful and refreshing good habits. That fills me with so much joy! It feels just like a child who first discovered its life's dream! I am struggling to find my own identity in this world, and watching myself watching you, i could see how i was in peace for the first time in a long time. This is definitely a direction, at least a hint of what i really seek but struggles to find in this world. That is why, i wish to leave my sincere gratitude to you. I like to say that a really good professor is the one which its own way of living overflows with teachings. So is life. So is you. Thank you, really.
Regarding a cold water shower a trick is to initiate a bath with warm water and then close/ conclude with cold water rinse, pouring head down... alternating hot and cold water is gr8 for fitness as well
That’s why I admire the Japanese culture and people. They are really different than rest of the world. One trait which outshines is being thankful to nature or to the human beings who helped them in anyway and it is fantastic. My Japanese friend Aya taught me that new thing of saying ”Itadakimasu” (頂きます) is the phrase Japanese people usually say before eating. It means “Thank you for the food” but literally translates as “I humbly receive this meal”. It is also a beautiful gesture of thanks & appreciation for everyone who helped in bringing that food to their table. In Vedic Sanskrit there is a similar Mantra called Annapate:- ओ3म् अन्नपतेSन्नस्य नो देह्यनमीवस्य शुष्मिणः/ प्र प्रदातारं तारिष ऊर्ज्जं नो धेहि द्विपदे चतुष्पदे // ओ3म् शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ! - यजुर्वेद ११.८३ It is from Yajurveda. There is a similarity between the two and difference at the same time. The Japanese version is more thankful towards the human beings while the Vedic Mantra is sort of being thankful towards Ishwar or God. I think the later one includes everything because we all are creation of God. In my honest opinion very few people say this Vedic prayer & neither people are aware about it nor they say it in routine but the Japanese version “Itadakimasu” is short and sweet and easy to remember. Nevertheless It’s a good practice to show gratitude and appreciation. I am impressed by the Japanese way of living a life.
Buddhist monks join the hands into the lotus bud shape , and read this before eating meal “ “ at this time , we sit around to have meal . Even the bowl of rice is less but still full . We join our hands . Drinking water , we remember the water source . Eating the fruits , we remember the people who grow the plants “ . When finishing , they bow their head ( to thank the people who grow food )

Love Macha and I even learned to do this beautiful tea ceremony. Matcha is a great pick-me-up and extremely beneficial for the heart and the arteries. I also adapted the routine to not only clean up my house daily but also the environment I live in daily early mornings when I am out for a walk with my dog and do stretching and Qigong. Lately I always create a to-do-list and since it somehow feels like meditation I use an old fashioned notebook with small pieces of paper and I pray, say thank you to our creator. I feel more comfortable, protected and also way more connected to the world around me than. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with this routine but I do my best, remembering it should be beneficial and not stress me out. Thank you for sharing.
I'm so lucky, I was feeling tired and worried for tomorrow. I will try this routine for the next week... it gives me alot of motivation your video, arigato!
Hi Aki. Another great upload. I love the positive energy and your flexible approach and motivated to life. Have a great week. I’m pleased you’ve recovered well after Covid.
Aki-sensei, congratulations on getting close to a million views on this video! Your content is so inspiring and I've been coming back to each video frequently. I can't say I'm a minimalist just yet, but thanks to you, I've been waking up much earlier and already donated huge bags of stuff I don't need anymore. I'll be visiting Japan for my 2nd time in 3 days from now! Cheers
*IM AN AUTHOR* I have been researching, testing and optimising my daily routine for about 8 years as part of my work *THIS ROUTINE IS ABOUT AS PERFECT AS YOU WILL GET* Personally, I would not eat, one meal a day helps. Id walk before cleaning, the red light of sunrise is very beneficial, apart from that its PERFECT. Minimalist house, no clutter, sunlight, movement, cold shower, cleaning, ceremony [making tea], caffeine, gratitude, exercise, yoga, to-do today list ON PAPER, NO digital screes or music/podcasts for the first hour.
This has helped me a lot I have also started drinking matcha and have been filled with so much more energy than before thank you so much for posting this video
Hi. Liked your video so much, Aki. I am retiring in a couple days and want to incorporate some of your routines into my new life to help with my transition. Thank you.
Moshi Moshi Aki, what a wonderful world of wonders you’re living in? This is amazing stuff, I’m also an early riser but nothing compared to you. Cleanliness gives peace of mind and it takes few minutes of your precious time. You definitely have inspired many and best wishes from Oz 👌👌🙏🏼🙏🏼💕💕
Hello Aki my name Is Alex . I am from Honduras . I usually get up at 5:00 am in the morning and do the same that you do . Thanks for share your morning routine . It is quite helpful for me . Greetings from Honduras.
Thank you Aki because I do some of the things you recommend I realize to put them in the order that you suggest I will stabilize my routine. A Cold shower 🚿 is the best way to make my morning positive and happy. I feel so alive and awake and grateful. Thank you.
1 amend I suggest: I do my to do list the night before having just reviewed the day. I decide my most important task the night before and get that done first without thinking about anything else or checking email. I strike that off and my day is up and running.
Wow, I love the Japanese. They are so efficient a make life work. You have a great routine and by picking up litter you contribute to the world. I like the idea of doing some cleaning in the morning. You also have a great exercise routine and are in perfect fitness. I am old and my life is a wreck but I will try to follow some of what you do. I will start today. I wish I had a friend to exercise with but I will start anyway. Thank you for caring about people.

I am sorry you were ill with COVID. Thank you for your wonderful videos. Drinking Matcha is my routine because of you…I am working towards a more minimalistic life. Many blessings to you..❤️
Good morning! Thank you for this video. This truly is the best morning routine. Like you said at the end of the video, it’s important to have “flexibility” in your routine. This will help a lot of people.

Hi Aki! Thank you for inspiring us with your altruistic, calming strength. I will try to establish my routines emulating yours. After a whole evening of insomnia and diarrhea, and possibly covid, your sharing of life makes my day. Thank you.
I really enjoyed your video. You're a good example of a person who looks to enjoy his life to it's fullest by enjoying the small daily successes. Routines are key. You must have your daily goals committed to paper in order to chart your progress. Thank you again.
I really like this routine! Parts of your routine are the same as mine. Every morning I make my bed, do yoga and meditation, take a walk, eat breakfast, write in my journal, take a warm bath, write out my to-do list, and write on my computer/work on my writing project (my job). I'm going to see where I can get myself to do more cleaning than making my bed. That would help me out. Thanks for sharing! I enjoy your videos. 🙂 Gassho, Julie (Shaku Ni Jun-ri)

Hi THANK YOU for your daily rutine ..my grandma used to clean her bedroom everynight before bed..I do whenever i feel like cleaning...but i wont from now on..thanks for your share
Great video and content. This reminds me of my grandfather, very similar to the way he structured his days, and his routine in the mornings.
I start work at 4 am. I will start using some of your ideas. Thank you for this post. I like your humor.
That's amazing!
Love your calmness
My whole time goes sleep, sleep, sleep until 07.00. Take a shower, eat breakfast & run to the office.
This is horrible. Ruining the morning is like ruining the whole day. I need to change my lifestyle.
Thank you for your valuable content!
Yeah, a stressful morning = a stressful day. I noticed if I have more time in the morning and can actually enjoy it, the day is also more enjoyable.
Hello from Montreal! I just want to say thank you for your content. I discovered your channel a few days ago and am already feeling the impact it has had on my life. Happiness and hugs,

Hello, I stumbled across your video. The best piece of advice for me was create your own morning routine. Always interesting to see how other people live. Cheers Vancouver Island Canada.
You are a very lucky man!
And thank you for your youtube videos
Real samurai! Good to know that’s possible. Even my cat watched it almost up to the end, he got so fascinated! My routine takes longer and sometimes it’s draining.
That’s great you enjoy your mornings. I m also a teacher in a very remote village in east Greenland. I like your activities. Thank you.
In Vedic Sanskrit there is a similar Mantra called Annapate:-
It is from Yajurveda.
Buddhist monks join the hands into the lotus bud shape , and read this before eating meal “
“ at this time , we sit around to have meal .

Cheers
*IM AN AUTHOR* I have been researching, testing and optimising my daily routine for about 8 years as part of my work *THIS ROUTINE IS ABOUT AS PERFECT AS YOU WILL GET*
Personally, I would not eat, one meal a day helps.
Thanks for the suggested adds & subtractions! Appreciate you.
One meal only? Which one?
This has helped me a lot I have also started drinking matcha and have been filled with so much more energy than before thank you so much for posting this video
Hi. Liked your video so much, Aki. I am retiring in a couple days and want to incorporate some of your routines into my new life to help with my transition. Thank you.
HUGE THANK YOU. LIFE IS BETTER IF LIVED SUPER SIMPLE. Easy to Track and Maintain. LESS is Definitely MORE.
Once again another great insight into how you live your life! I really like the way you explain things and I always find your videos interesting.
Hi Teacher Aki, I'm so happy watching this video, thanks you very much.
The morning is key! This video will help me to establish a routine to prepare for the day and help me establish more harmony in mind body and world.
Thank you for sharing, your videos inspire me to live my best life.
Thank you!!
Hello Aki my name Is Alex . I am from Honduras . I usually get up at 5:00 am in the morning and do the same that you do . Thanks for share your morning routine . It is quite helpful for me .
Greetings from Honduras.
Good morning from Australia. I loved your routine. It's inspiring. Thankyou
Thank you!!
Hello Aki, thank you so much for sharing.
You're routine inspired me to look at my own and see if I can make it better! Thanks for the video.
Thank you for caring about people.
awesome video!!!
Hi Aki! I'm from Sweden and I found your channel last week and have been binge watching your videos since. I am in the beginning of my journey towards a more minimal lifestyle and I find your videos very well made and inspiring. I don't speak a word of Japanese, but I find the videos where you do very relaxing, soothing and I become happy when I listen to you. Thank you for great content!
Thank you so much! I'm happy to hear that!
Thank you so much for the encouragement.
Your amazing man true legend keep it up I hope you live a long and healthy life you really inspired me to do good.

Thank you for your wonderful inspiring video.
I admire your philosophy and way of life!
I visited Japan five years ago and I loved it! I hope to visit Japan soon in the near future!
Thank you once again!

Thank you!!
I love your videos they are so fun, light, practical and with the right pace. I just want to binge them all 😊 I’m starting to get really into minimalism and you help me a lot!!
Thanks for sharing your routine and I'm glad you seem to have gotten over your illness without lasting effects. I am also interested in your evening routine because can't wake up early without going to sleep early and this is always my biggest problem! :D

Good afternoon from Italy😃. Thank you, Aki, for sharing your morning routine with us. Thank you 🙏
You definitely set the bar high! I think rising early has EVERYTHING to do with starting the day right! Still trying to get back into the swing of things after baby # 4
I love your house, simple but perfection!
Clutter and excess definitely stresses you out, adding to the already strenuous lifestyle we live in😅
And your matcha routine is like a religion😍
