    I made this cake last night 06-14-2024 and my husband said it was the BEST cake I have ever made. I followed the recipe exactly the way it was written and what an amazing cake. This will go in my recipe book forsure and I will use it over and over again. SIMPLY PERFECT in everyway.. Thank you Stephanie for an awesome recipe!!!

      Thank you for sharing your results. This is one of my most favorite pound cake recipes and I’m so glad you enjoyed it too. I have been making it for over 30 years now and it’s one of my “go to” recipes for a perfect easy dessert. When I make it, my husband will eat almost half. He starts with one slice, then another, and another after it cools. The warm slices are addicting and his favorite. 😊 Thank you for watching and your support, I’m so glad your family enjoyed this as much as mine does! Have a blessed evening. 🤗

    I think I missed something. Where is the vanilla extract or lemon extract you’re using it

    • @stephsstovebystephaniethom7249
      @stephsstovebystephaniethom7249  Год назад +2

      No, you didn’t miss anything. This recipe does not call for any flavorings. I know it sounds different, but trust the process. When my mother-in-law introduced me to this recipe (30+years ago) I thought the same thing. However, it turns out delicious and is my “go to” pound cake recipe. Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed day!

    Where is the vanilla extract? It came out good and you didn’t slice it!

      Funny you should ask this, my Mamie asked the same question when she tried it and asked for the recipe. However, this pound cake does not call for any vanilla extract. Thanks for your comment and I hope you will try this pound cake; it is delicious.

    Question: how many grams in each butter stick? 100 grams?

    • @stephsstovebystephaniethom7249
      @stephsstovebystephaniethom7249  2 года назад

      Since I’m not sure of exact gram conversions; I “Googled” it. According to Google, “1 stick or 1/2 cup butter is equal to 4 ounces, or 113 grams.” I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed day!

      One cup is equal to 8 ounces of heavy whipping cream. Thanks for watching and your question. Have a blessed day! 🤗😊🤗

    This reminds of Aunt pound cake. Just wondering if you know of 14 layer cake with hot Hershey cocoa chocolate pour over each. Some places call little later cake I've had a hard time finding a original recipe. It is very old fashioned in North Carolina..Thanks for recipes

      I have not heard of this, but I do have a great recipe for old fashioned chocolate icing I will be posting in the future. Stay tuned. Thanks for your comment.

    Your recipe is too complicated and confusing. You don’t explain yourself right. To many times speed changes. You’re over mixing your batter. Your recipe is not straight forward. Pound cake is a simple cake to bake but you’re making it too complicated.

    • @stephsstovebystephaniethom7249
      @stephsstovebystephaniethom7249  Год назад +2

      I’m sorry you feel that the recipe was complicated. My intent is always to be thoughtful in the steps, not skipping details, but not complicated. I appreciate your feedback. Have a good week!

    • @kathysrandomactsofstampin

      @@stephsstovebystephaniethom7249 I did not find the steps complicated at all. If you are a baker/cook it is a very simple recipe for sure. I am going to my kitchen right now and I'm making this cake. If there are any complicated instructions it is only in the final beating and if you write those out the first time you make it or highlight them on the printed recipe, it is not complicated at all.
      Steph, I have fallen in love with your recipes and I will be trying more. Thank you for the wonderful job you do with your channel. Being a creator myself (Papercrafting) I understand not being able to please all the people all the time but you have my vote for the wonderful job you are doing. Keep them recipes coming. YOU ARE AMAZING!! Love your southern charm.
