I always pull up RUclips when I get to work to listen to stories (I am always at least an hour early) while I start my day. One morning last week, somehow this came up so I wrote down the recipe. Mostly because I love hazelnut and I already have a good sour cream pound cake recipe. I made it for work and it was such a great surprise! As for butter some recipes call for unsalted and others for salted. Just add salt if you opt for unsalted butter in this recipe. Yes baby the cake needs room to rise. This mix of salted butter and cake flour works magic with achieving a tall cake. Baking powder and a citrus (real lemon) also contributes to the cake rising. Enjoy!!

I told my younger nieces and nephews what the name of the cake was and that to have a piece, after they ate it, to slap their momma! One of my great nephews ate a piece and slapped his grandmother, my sister, on the arm! When she asked why, he said it is "slap ya momma cake"! I had already told her what I had done and she said "I'm not your momma"! He replied, you are some ones momma! and ran away! It was a great day and your cake was a giant hit! Bless YOU!

Enjoy the recipe below. ⬇️ Slap Ya Momma Pound Cake Recipe: *3 cups of sifted flour *1/2 teaspoon baking powder *3 cups of granulated sugar *5 eggs (large at room temp) *1/2 cup of hazelnut coffee creamer at (room temp) *1/2 cup of half n half coffee creamer at (room temp) * 3 sticks of (salted butter) YES SALTED *1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract *1 tablespoon of butter extract *1/2 fresh lemon squeeze in the juice *preheat oven to 325 and bake on the center rack.
GLAZE * 1/2 stick of Philadelphia cream cheese (room temp) * 3/4 cup of powder sugar (add additional powder sugar as needed til the right consistency * 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract * 1/2 can of sweet condensed milk * 1/4 cup hazelnut coffee creamer

Try putting your butter or cream cheese if using in the bowl as soon as you take it out of the fridge and then you can eliminate scraping that paper 😊

I like that idea but I leave mines in the wrapper and use it to grease my cake pan. Then I add flour. No need to buy cooking sprays.

Welcome Nicole. I hope that you subscribe and check each of the 3 cake recipe tutorials I’ve posted. I add variations of buttermilk, flavored coffee creamers and other flavoring to my cakes. As for butter some recipes call for unsalted and others for salted. Just add salt if you opt for unsalted butter in this recipe. When baking the lemon activates the baking powder and is a must for height in your cake. Enjoy 😊

Yes baby the cake needs room to rise. This mix of salted butter and cake flour works magic with achieving a tall cake. Baking powder and a citrus (real lemon) also contributes to the cake rising. Enjoy!!

I am so so sorry! There was no cake left! We had a great time with it! I told my younger nieces and nephews what the name of the cake was and that to have a piece, after they ate it, to slap their momma! One of my great nephews ate a piece and slapped his grandmother, my sister, on the arm! When she asked why, he said it is "slap ya momma cake"! I had already told her what I had done and she said "I'm not your momma"! He replied, you are some ones momma! and ran away! It was a great day and your cake was a giant hit! Bless YOU!

Slap Ya Momma Pound Cake Recipe:
*3 cups of sifted flour
*1/2 teaspoon baking powder
*3 cups of granulated sugar
*5 eggs (large at room temp)
*1/2 cup of hazelnut coffee creamer at (room temp)
*1/2 cup of half n half coffee creamer at (room temp)
* 3 sticks of (salted butter) YES SALTED
*1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
*1 tablespoon of butter extract
*1/2 fresh lemon squeeze in the juice
*preheat oven to 325 and bake on the center rack.
Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20min maybe 1 hour 30min depending on your oven. Allow to sit 1 hour before flipping your cake.
GLAZE
* 1/2 stick of Philadelphia cream cheese (room temp)
* 3/4 cup of powder sugar (add additional powder sugar as needed til the right consistency
* 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
* 1/2 can of sweet condensed milk
* 1/4 cup hazelnut coffee creamer
vanilla extract

Thank you 😊 Yes, I use cake flour which is higher in protein in most all my cakes and in this recipe, however you can use all purpose flour pre-sifted and it’s best to sift it again. 😋
