My MOS was 63S in the ARMY, The Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) was my specialty for 10 years. This truck is so scale and detailed like the real deal! If i had the cash it would be mine!

Thanks for the review. Your review was a big factor for me to purchase one. Am very happy with my purchase. Hope you make a comparative review with the CROSS US Mamoth and CROSS US MC 8C units.
I want one bad!!!! But, that will never happen, as those are too rich for my blood, lol... Heck, I was struggling to afford the Aeromax & Knight Hauler and everything to make'em tick.... Couple brand later, all in efforts so I could chop them both up to make a HEMTT, and then, I see this, lol.. My soul is broken now, as I could have safe allot of money on just getting this unit, on well, that is how things go. I really like it though!!!, Thank you for showing this

11:30 I suggest you want weight over the rear axles for this particular vehicle.
I drove the 1120 LHS in Iraq in '03,too bad they don't have the LHS but beautiful truck nonetheless,love it.

Oh, are the 4 diff's lockable?
That is a M983A2 not an A4. That model truck is usually used for the movement of the Patriot Missile system.

I think you bought 6x6 plastic one. This is 13kg metal monster that goes around $600. But, I do think the small one is fun too ;)
If you did that would be amazing, but there is a much smaller "toy" vesion that I suspect is what you purchased.
Quite awesome - but it's probably priced way more than the HG P402 I have, and WAY more than I can afford. 😱😞

Saw your other video. I have a question. Can u use a 11.1 volt battery 2200mah in the truck?
Not with the stock motor or ESC. No advantage on this truck anyway, a 2 cell works great.
Nice... just needs a trailer now... 1/16th scale would be cooler tho to fit it to all the Rc tanks! Still pretty nice!

Any thoughts on a flatbed or Lowboy rtf trailer?....I'm struggling to find one in that scale.
I am going to build one using Tamiya trailer parts. If you look at my video installing lights on the Hemtt you can see some drawings of what I will be building.
Funny how the box is marked « fragile » everywhere and how he just throws it on the table and drops everything instead of putting them down slowly

It is not out yet as far as I know. There is a drawing of it in the manual.
i am having alot of trouble deciding on one of these hg p 802 or buying the cross rc bc8 mammoth vs the cross mc8 the hemtt seems to be very stiff however it is a us military rig ..the other 2 look much more flexible for off roading
I agree with your assessment. The P-801/2 is a great very scale looking US Military rig. Very capable but does not have the suspension travel of the Cross. I

I do not know.
I hope they release it as a kit, I am more if a builder. What is the quality of the hardware used? Are the wheels a beadlock type? Are the driveshafts pretty stout under a heavy load or are they Twizzlers?
Driveshafts are very heavy duty and the wheels are beadlocks. I like kits too but seems now days the RTR's are a better deal especially when the come with radio and esc.
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Sound good, altho $800 this may wipe out my RC Fun Funds for 2019, Ha Ha!!! I purchased the HG-P407 Bruiser Clone last year. It won't compete with a Axial or equivalent purpose built crawler truck. But as a scale triail truck with leaf springs it's not too shabby. I swapped in a few on hand parts and mods I had on hand to make it more capable.

I also have the P-407 and will be doing a video soon on upgrades on a budget. Both scale items and some running improvements. Hopefully will get it up in a few weeks.

The one in the review is bone stock. Some parts are coming out like lights and sound which I will do an install video soon.

I have just been using some 2000 NIMH packs I had laying around. I do plan on eventually going to 5000mah 2 cell Lipo's.
I work at a depot that Resets these trucks..that is an M983A2 not an A4.The A4 has a Cat engine and these older A2s have Detroit Diesels among many other differences
Yes that is correct. On my install lights video on this truck I show close ups of the engine with the cover off so you an see it better.

I have a question, I see 2 manufactures offering this truck, Amewi ang HG. To me everything looks the same? Has one been rebadged? Or is it different?

Ha! A long time ago I learned a lesson. Guys would come into the store and ask why the Traxxas Rustler was $100 more than the Tyco car at Toys R Us. So we would throw it 6' in the air and it would land perfectly. Then we would take the body off - throw it again and tell them to watch if it would bounce (it didn't - stuck like glue). Then we would take the body off and stand full weight on the chassis. Seems like after that they couldn't get the money out fast enough. We sold thousands of Rustlers.

V-block in those??? Detail you say? They don't have V-block engines in those. Inline engine came in those trucks. Used to work on them all the time in the Army. LOL like the "Transmission Hump" cuz the trans always sits in front of the engine right? And 5 transfer cases?... WOW
