    I would really appreciate if you could do a video about layering products correctly and what products to not use together in a skin routine. There's too much confusion out there. Also, as a person of color with a deep skin tone, I've yet to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast. A lot of manufacturers and influencers would make claims about a mineral sunscreen not leaving a white cast. However, I invariably find that they are not talking about people with deep skin tones. As such, I'm just going to stick with chemical sunscreens but need to find one that is oil and fragrance free and also is mattyfying. Any recommendations? I have combination skin with an oily t-zone, which gets more greasey in the warmer months. Thanks!

      EASIEST WAYS TO REMEMBER:
      *Thinnest to Thickest...*
      (with some exceptions of course)
      *&& Cleanse. Treat. Moisturize...*
      *Sunscreen last*
      Skin care is REALLY not as complicated as some make it seem. There are actually very few products that are advised to not be used in conjuction... basic rule of thumb, if you're using one of these do not mix with the others: Retinoids, Vitamin C, Benzoyl Peroxide, AHA's/BHA's/chemical or physical exfoliants, etc.
      Besides that, you'll be just fine.
      && You can in fact still use all of the things I mentioned above in your routine !!! Just use 1 at night 1 in the morning, or alternate between the products on different days/nights👍
      && Even still, lol, some people CAN && DO use these things together😏 if their skin can tolerate it without irritation.
      So it's all just trial && error, as everyone's skin is different && of course also depends on tolerance, skin type, skin concerns...

      Hi there! My bf has back acne and I’ve been helping him and this is what we do. Try an exfoliation body wash with a loofah and really get in there on some days. Or a normal body wash an a stronger body exfoliant 1-2 times per week. I’ve noticed he really doesn’t wash his back well and let’s sweat sit after the gym. You really need to make sure you shower frequently and actually scrub your body well. Scrub, gently, but just for longer than you normally do. You can even get back facials! Call any local salon who offers facials :) Basically what they will do is a cleansing, an exfoliation, extractions - don’t try at home, and moisturizer. Also the moisturizer you are using could be clogging your pores even more! It needs to be a non-comedogenic moisturizer, which basically means it won’t clog your pores. Hope this helps!

    I'm 26 from UK and I feel very lucky to have my mother pester me to wear suncream a lot when I was growing up. Might have gone a couple of years not using it in the winter and I've badly burnt only a couple of times in my life. I always wore it in the summer if I was going to be out. Now I use it if UV index is over 2, so cloudy/rainy, sunny whatever the weather. It was seen as "uncool" to wear it when I was in school and everyone would often be "showing off" their sunburns to get attention. There were many girls in my year that never wore it once even in the heat of summer. I didn't care though as I was told early about the dangers of the sun. Some of those girls from school that are my age now look 35+ so I'm so glad I took care of my skin and I'll never stop! Thank you for the tips guys just found your channel and love it :)

I've never had perfect skin but its never been bad either but this was making me self conscious. I eat healthy, I work out, I change my sheets ( pillows included) weekly. I could probably stand to drink more water but its not that bad. After trying a few things on my own I sought out some help discovered you all. its been a bit over a month since I started my routine based on your suggestions. MAN OH MAN... I have seen a vast improvement the blotchy tones are smoothing out. The pitting ( which I was worried about the most) is starting to smooth out. Even my random acne which usually gives me a nice hard pimple once in a while hasn't shown up. I can't wait to see what three months will look like. For those wondering... I do the lactic acid ( ordinary ) in the am ( after I clean my face which is usually my own hand made soap), niacinamide ( ordinary), aveeno calm and restore moisturizer and finally a mineral sunscreen if I'm going out. in the PM cleanse again nia again moisturizer ink retinol/ eye retinol then moisturizer... I can't thank you two enough for your information. I was already depressed this did not help. Finally feeling like me again at least in this one aspect. THANK YOU!!!!

    Very important information. This video was somewhat validating because I have done quite a bit of research on my specific skin concerns. I have mature, sun damaged skin so the absolute first thing I did was find a sunscreen that I would wear every day. I've spent about 4 weeks making sure my skin likes the CeraVe cleanser and just last week I incorporated my Retinoid. Now I'm in a holding pattern again and if my skin has no objections to the Retinoid I'll start my vitamin c serum. Rome wasn't built in a day.
