The teaser video and the photo on the wbsite shows a black top hat. So could we be getting a magnet theme, and keeping the red top hat and adding the black top hat just like the keychain? I definitely think the black top hat in the teaser video was more of ahint than people gave it credit for
There are other supports on the existing tophat that would need to go up,where would they go with iron dragon being there and why didn't they pour those footers when they did the rest.Lets not forget the lagoon that is over there,anymore footers will need to go in the water so they would have done that with the other 3.Very expensive to pour concrete in water.Not to mention the spike track would go right over the dragon so they are limited that way so the trains don't collide.
What if it’s a layout extension AND a top hat. I think that it would launch and go up the Red top hat, then do a couple overbanks, maybe an airtime hill or two before going up the taller black top hat and do another set of overbanks to burn off speed. The could make the black top hat right behind the red top hat, so the blacks and red top hats will look like they’ve been layered on top of each other from a certain angle
That key chain isn’t related to the dragster layout bc on the key it says “cp” which would stand for Cedar Point. It has nothing to relate to the layout

Obviously everything is possible, Double Top Hat or a Spike. However, I prefer they would go with the Spike as it seems more logical, and rides like Pantheon have shown how awesomely fun a vertical spike is. Either way, I will make a 2024 / 2025 trip to Cedar Point just to ride the new Dragster!

Formula 1 theme and with a new launch system and extended track makes sense based on the subtle clues so far. The key chain looks like a C and P with definite magnet vibes. The top of the C and the bottom of the P could be the new "hills" making it more circuit like if they meant it to be a view from above...idk lol

Hate to shatter everybody's space themed fantasy, but if you actually look up generic clipart for a race track, the proportions are identical to the logo. The graphic designer more than obviously referenced that when making the logo.

I feel like Dragster is going to be longer than what people are saying not just a spiral and back or a double top hat and back I think we could see something to Velociacoaster at Universal, because I heard rumors that CP was at IOA and the fact that they removed Frobbiden Frontier. Makes me feel like this coaster will be longer than what people think idk that’s my opinion though.. Tony Clark once said that that there will be coaster even better than steel Vengeance and I think this is that project.
Ok, looking at the keychain, we have what appears to be a simple case of the CP for Cedar Point, of course, but we also have what appears to be, not one, but 2 magnets. We know they are putting in a spike, thats a given based on the footers. My postulation is everyone is looking at the spike all wrong, it wont be a swing launch, its going to be a shuttle coaster. The duality of the keychain hints that there will be a dual loading station like Mr. Freeze at SFOT. You will launch the same way as normal, crest the top hat, go unto a speed hill, and ascend the spike. Then, the train is launched again, but this time backwards, through the entire course back to the station. Lastly, the colors of the keychain are the same as the needle on a compass, hinting toward the polaris theme concept. Just a thought.

I'm going to keep posting my theory (especially in case it comes true). I think it's going to be a dueling launch with two vertical spikes (or 2 tracks up 1 spike, hopefully 500ft+), and a criss-cross over the existing top hat. This would greatly improve capacity, while giving each launch 'side' a slightly different experience, thereby encouraging MORE ridership (to do both).

idk why people think that lsm's cant aaccerate ftaser? ive riden red force at portaventura in spain and that kicks ass, yes it dosnt accelerate as fast at the start. but the acceleration is constant the entire launch. all they need to do is make the train enter on the switch track halfway down the launch track, launch backwards maybe 60-80 mph up the spike, and then reach the 120+ needed on the way forwards. it should be easy
New theory. The new top hat is the first hat you go over. The train starts where the original brake run ends. They utilize Intamin's vertical launch where they send you 500' up. On your way down, you follow the original launch track and go over the original top hat. Here, you break a speed record.
Reverse launch up the spiral side of the top hat. The height and drop will be record because they will extend downwards 40 ft. (460 height) (420 drop.) Then you speed to a beyond vertical spiral. Picture wicked twister but more than 90 degrees. Maybe 115 degrees or so. Might be around 310 ft tall. Heavy themed. Nebula fire is the name. Second half is painted blue

Think about it. Another top hat or a spike, they’ll have a 400 ft coaster and a 500 ft all in one so they can still make the 400 ft claim and then the first 500 ft claim.

The keychain looks like the original layout in the ride manual that they give ride host when you work there, but the parts that go outward , are in my opinion hinting that there is going to be an extended layout since they key chain design is not a complete circuit . I also thought that it could also mean there are 2 switch tracks included. However the keychain at the moment looks like what dragster is at its current status. So Im pretty sure they are added to the layout.
I don’t see it happening. They would need to modify or remove Iron Dragon before there would be room as well as a complete second set of footers. They’re not going to remove a coaster to make a second top hat. There’s not enough room dimensionally without that also happening. Picture the *width* not just the height.
It’s cp but it’s the new color scheme for ttd that being said, it’s definitely going to be named Polaris as well.. but this particular keychain just reads CP but the supports will be grey and track red.
i like the idea of a dbl to hophat, that way is a full circuit so they can claim the hieghth record, i think they could do 500ft just to get teh record of Terracoaster and with no technicalaties as it would b a complete circuit
There's no way they're fitting a taller top hat where the new footers are and I don't see them adding anymore footers. I still like the swing launch with a spike theory
well the thing i would like to see is a 2 track top thrill dragster with 2 stations so u race against eachother on 2 tracks on the same top hat only made stronger to support 2 trains . so u have side by side race . then u have the first ever dueling strata coaster , with worlds first vertical twist high 5 . and i think the keychain could mean a switch so they could to my believe get rid of the old tophat and reconstruct it at the other side . and make a switch in the stations so it can ride more people but also both cars could be launched from both stations . so to say like its actually looking like 2 coaster except its only one coaster built to look like 2
Dont think 2 top hats, but I agree with the logo.. There is U with a tail 2 times.. So launch on opposite side, up and over top hat, up a huge spike and then reverse. so you will do the top hat twice, and not sure going back will be backward.. what if the trains can turn 180 degrees on the spike so you are forward at the highest speeds both directions. I am not oppose to going 120+ mph backwards though. A big Mr Freeze. If tower is really tall we can see a huge speed increase as well because they could slow you down before hitting second top hat.
I'm sure they will break either a height or speed record. Not sure if it will be a world wide record or a US record, but they will do something to that effect I suspect.

Huge CP fan...go there all the time, but this "re-imagining" of Top Thrill really does nothing for me. I think they were stuck though...the plot of land is just skinny and long, so their options are lucky. a long wait for a super short ride is just not buy thing.
I really don’t care what they do with dragster as long as they hit 500 ft. I have never ridden a strata but Kingda Ka is fairly near me so I’d much rather ride a 500 foot dragster than another strata coaster.
Cp key chain . Cedar Point? They only have to one up what ever they have now . So it could be a multitude of things. I think the footings are a bit of a giveaway.

Cedar Point wouldn't be the first to break the 500 foot barrier with a T-Rex if they waited til then. There's that Six Flags 525 foot coaster that is opening next year. I would think they would want to continue the trend of being the first to break each new 100 foot mark. This gives them the best opportunity to be able to do that, just ahead of Six Flags coaster opening later the same year. 555 sounds like the pefect number to me and makes for good marketing too.🤷♂️ It would also cement them into having tbe tallest roller coaster in the world for probably a long time (unless the polar coaster ever actually happened, but even then, the drops on that are small and thats not exactly the same thing).
I think you are smoking crack if you really believe they are adding a second tophat. An extension to 500ft if anything is most likely as wild it will get. Otherwise just likely a new theme and alterations to the launch.

Remember when people said dragster was getting tore down? and everyone said we were in "la-la land" and dreaming, or knew nothing about coasters if we thought they were going to do anything to re-make TTD😂 Now we're watching footers being poured for an expansion of some sort so obviously people aren't crazy something very exciting and major is being done. You can never count Cedar Point out! They are always going to come up with something to amaze us!

I have been saying 2nd hophat for about a month or so now....just didnt look like the footers for a spike...lets see if it pans out.
CP , my first thought was Cedar Point. But also possibly the intials of the new ride. Circuit Pulse. Although maybe it's GP, Grand Prix.

The first thing I thought was it looked like two top hats but not sure how realistic it is
The keychain looks like the original layout in the ride manual that they give ride host when you work there, but the parts that go outward , are in my opinion hinting that there is going to be an extended layout since they key chain design is not a complete circuit . I also thought that it could also mean there are 2 switch tracks included. However the keychain at the moment looks like what dragster is at its current status. So Im pretty sure they are added to the layout.

They’re not going to remove a coaster to make a second top hat. There’s not enough room dimensionally without that also happening. Picture the *width* not just the height.

No second tophat,, the footer triangle is pointed the wrong way for that. The spike will ride up the closest support.

i like the idea of a dbl to hophat, that way is a full circuit so they can claim the hieghth record, i think they could do 500ft just to get teh record of Terracoaster and with no technicalaties as it would b a complete circuit

well the thing i would like to see is a 2 track top thrill dragster with 2 stations so u race against eachother on 2 tracks on the same top hat only made stronger to support 2 trains . so u have side by side race . then u have the first ever dueling strata coaster , with worlds first vertical twist high 5 . and i think the keychain could mean a switch so they could to my believe get rid of the old tophat and reconstruct it at the other side . and make a switch in the stations so it can ride more people but also both cars could be launched from both stations . so to say like its actually looking like 2 coaster except its only one coaster built to look like 2

Dont think 2 top hats, but I agree with the logo.. There is U with a tail 2 times.. So launch on opposite side, up and over top hat, up a huge spike and then reverse. so you will do the top hat twice, and not sure going back will be backward.. what if the trains can turn 180 degrees on the spike so you are forward at the highest speeds both directions. I am not oppose to going 120+ mph backwards though. A big Mr Freeze. If tower is really tall we can see a huge speed increase as well because they could slow you down before hitting second top hat.

Huge CP fan...go there all the time, but this "re-imagining" of Top Thrill really does nothing for me. I think they were stuck though...the plot of land is just skinny and long, so their options are lucky. a long wait for a super short ride is just not buy thing.

I really don’t care what they do with dragster as long as they hit 500 ft. I have never ridden a strata but Kingda Ka is fairly near me so I’d much rather ride a 500 foot dragster than another strata coaster.

Cedar Point wouldn't be the first to break the 500 foot barrier with a T-Rex if they waited til then. There's that Six Flags 525 foot coaster that is opening next year. I would think they would want to continue the trend of being the first to break each new 100 foot mark. This gives them the best opportunity to be able to do that, just ahead of Six Flags coaster opening later the same year. 555 sounds like the pefect number to me and makes for good marketing too.🤷♂️ It would also cement them into having tbe tallest roller coaster in the world for probably a long time (unless the polar coaster ever actually happened, but even then, the drops on that are small and thats not exactly the same thing).
