I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ruclips.net/user/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
I'm a total beginner when it comes to heavy bag work so these tips are extremely helpful for me. I'm notorious for focusing on the physical and forgetting about the mental part. Thank you for all the great content. It's been SUPER helpful to me.
Sean you are the man!! I have a standing bag (for now) what I took away from this video is the importance of moving with the bag. I have sparring experience and can tell you first hand the vast difference between bag working and live sparring. I must admit during my workouts I am notorious for becoming a statue and blasting away. I have spent thousands on gym memberships and years of my life throu the gracie family, however I have learned many valuable lessons in just these 13 (14 if you count the redo at the end) lessons. Specifically the notation of the fact that the fighter is going to predict the first two or three moves so you really don't start landing or implementing your strike plan until the fourth move. That alone blew my f***ing mind! That's why I've been getting my ars kicked and feely like I've been hitting a brick wall. In training I excel. In sparring I suck. Mental training is what I've been lacking in. Thank you so much for the wisdom youve passed along! Here's to the next chapter of my training 🍺!!!
Thanks for the feedback Daniel! I'm so happy to hear that you were able to have some "ah-ha" moments when watching these tips. Let me know how you go with implementing them!
I felt like that for my first session but everyone at Muay Thai gyms are incredibly kind and welcoming and anyone with an ego leaves it at the door, enjoy it
You video brings me a totally new perspective of working on heavy bag especially the part Strike and Move. I always focus on putting power to the heavy bag most of the time. Thank you for sharing !
Thanks for the video, sir. Showed me that there’s a lot I needed to work on when it comes to working _with_ the heavy bag instead of *against it.* Especially when it comes to defense
Why do people dislike these videos? Nothing but good information. Technically sound and helpful. Looking forward to incorporating some of these ideas into my bag work today.
Thank you Coach for sharing. This video will help me forever. I may not ever be good at this but for sure I will improve tremendously from where I have started from.
Sean, Thank you man. This is by far the highest value video I have found on Muay Thai period not only teaching movement but mindset, tactics and planning. kop khun krap warrior 🙏
Hi, i lift weights, and just begin to train muay thai on bag for cardio, but i respect the art and tradition, so i want to do it right, so thank you for these tips. I will definnitelly gonna use them.
Hey! I'm newbie here and been training with your videos since all covid19 shit started. I do Kendo and wanna get involved in Muay Thai and learn other martial art to get better conditioning and mental state when it comes to a combat. Any suggestions for warming up? I'm 34 and trying to look after myself to avoid injuries and your 30 day 30 min workout challenge has been really nice, thanks a lot!
I've been sending your videos to all my family and friends. Top content, really helping my technique and fitness. Hope to come Thailand and join your one of your boot camps 👌
How hard do I go? Do I hit the bag with full force and let it bounce around or do I focus more on technique and dont put so much power into my strikes?
Sean Fagan I think it’s worth a try since you already have some gear for sale! I would definitely buy that tear drop bag as long as it’s not pricy like yokkao’s stuff for example. But that’s just my 2 cents.
This is great stuff! But better break out into 2 or 3 separate videos I would say... So later on after implementing your tips, it would be easy to go back and see what you need to improve on
Hi Sean, I have a question regarding heavybag blueprint 2.0. An electronic version is available or are you sending abroad to Poland? Thanks in advance for your reply :)
Thanks for the help. I just started training about 3 months ago and I’m addicted now. I need all the help I can get bc when I get to spar with a partner I get lost in my head. It’s like with no instruction I don’t know what to do lol. Also when I’m sparing I don’t really know the etiquette so I don’t know how hard to punch or if it’s cool to hit my partner in the face or what. I’m 6’ 230lbs and worked out my whole life so I’m a bigger man. I’m also 43 so I won’t be getting in the cage anytime but I want to be a good partner and I don’t want to accidentally hurt anyone bc I don’t know what I’m doing? If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks again 🙏

Good tip on moving after a strike. I tend to get cement feet.
Yea it’s super important!
Good thing you're not a swimmer..!
@@keaponlaffin6737 ain't dat rite? 😀
I know this vid is Muay Thai but if I’m fighting someone who boxes more, I will get the cement footing for some power to my punch
Spend about 6 months or so focusing on boxing movement and footwork. Then you'll want to constantly move around the bag.

Can we get some how to move to Thailand tips?
Thanks alot for teaching!! I think most of us are home trainee🤛🤜👊 without master!!
Thanks so much!
Should I get a 5ft or 6ft banana bag for home use to practice boxing and muay thai? Don't want it to hit floor, my ceiling is 8ft hight
Hey Sean! When are your heavy bags going to be on sale? I really want that tear drop bag.
I haven’t thought to sell them to be honest. I just got these customized for my gym. You think I should get some more made?
Sean Fagan I think it’s worth a try since you already have some gear for sale! I would definitely buy that tear drop bag as long as it’s not pricy like yokkao’s stuff for example. But that’s just my 2 cents.
So you're telling me there's NEVER a reason to fight a midget?
Why would you
Wow nice
Thank you!
Awesome Stuff! Keep up doing some videos like this, you dont forget about Beginners like us!
I'm doing my best to help everyone!
@@seanfagan thank you, i appreciate that!
What do you use to fill one up?
Shredded coconut husks and soil. You can do wood chips or shredded cloth too
Hi Sean! Does using heavier gloves give you a better workout?
It can help with shoulder endurance
Helooooo from the Maldives
Hello!!
Great stuff. Big take away for me "Begin with a defensive move"
Bro can you show some good combinations for good boxers or muay thai fighters
Sure
is a 80 pound bag good too?
The OG know's his sh....tuff ;)
This is great stuff! But better break out into 2 or 3 separate videos I would say... So later on after implementing your tips, it would be easy to go back and see what you need to improve on
Thanks for the suggestion
Hi sean! What size of gloves do you use for the heavy bag work?
I usually use 10oz gloves for most things
Hi Sean, I have a question regarding heavybag blueprint 2.0. An electronic version is available or are you sending abroad to Poland? Thanks in advance for your reply :)
It’s 100% digital 👊🙏
Thanks for the help. I just started training about 3 months ago and I’m addicted now. I need all the help I can get bc when I get to spar with a partner I get lost in my head. It’s like with no instruction I don’t know what to do lol. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks again 🙏
What size gloves are you using for the heavy bag vs gloves used for sparing?
10oz heavy bag, 16oz sparring
Sean Fagan thanks for replying
I’ve been using 14oz as an all round glove but may get 10oz for my bag gloves 🤙🏼
You showed tip #13 twice.. but good video.
Damnit! Must've missed that in the editing. Sorry about that
