Looks good! 👍 I'm hoping to get mine finished at some point. As for tires - Kyosho Scorpion/Tomahawk rear tires will fit on all four wheels. They're available in medium and soft compounds. I haven't tried them on carpet, but they do well in the dirt.
Cheers David that’s good to know that ks for that , enjoy yours when you get it going , it’s a cool buggy and goes much better than i expected it to , but I’ve never had any experience with the original release. Take care
Hey guys, while I've got both of you here I have a question. I heard Andy say he got a bottle of damper fluid and in the Kai video you showed a white expanded diagram. Neither of these things came in my box however the factory seals were completely intact. I'm wondering if I am missing a parts bag? Could you guys please let me know what else may have been in said bag? I got the yellow "manual" sheet, the pinion gear bag, another small bag with the wheel screws, the reusable zip ties and the bag with the black super dog fighter decals. I can't help but feel like something is missing.
This buggy stinks of nostalgia its bloody beautiful! Andy I remember seeing one in the 80s when our club that ran probably 90% tamiya's went to another club as a competition thing! My memory of the event is a bit cloudy but there was a Dog Fighter there and it looked out of this world to me and l do remember the thing was bloody quick and grounded! That memory of seeing it has never left me so its awesome to see the rere! I can't reach this sort of money its a shame its priced like it is! But still fantastic! Cheers for the vid buddy. PS love the colour 👍
Thanks for the comment there’s not much more that I know about this chassis personally, I do know back in 85 when this car won at ifmar worlds 4WD and 2wd ran together in the same races there was only stock or modified.
It sounds like the 80’s 😎 its a shame its pre built but they must have wanted to keep it like it was back in the day. Ive had a quick look at one at revival. Wasnt being run, but i think i may get one after seeing this vid. We just need someone to make wheels 😁
-Only Yokomo world champ with a sealed gearbox -Only world champ with mono shocks instead of independent shocks -Only world champ with trailing arm rear suspension instead of double wishbone rear
That’s correct as I mentioned in the video, you just add wheels/ tyres , do the body work, put oil in the shocks and install the electrics . So not very much to do on this one

Love it, I remember when Dogfighter dominated, would love more on differences in chassis or history

Well of course Andy I will want one!!!!!
😂 yeah it’s a nice bit of kit definitely
Awesome buggy. Quirky but awesome. 👍😊
Yes definitely quirky but it’s very cool , if you like them odd then it’s worth considering if you don’t mind the Price tag.
Great info Andy 👍🏻
Nice vid Andy 👍🏻🏁
Thank you much appreciated :)
Andy, this one comes as a dry roller so there’s no real assembly?

This re-re has a gear diff, the original has a ball diff
Cheers for that much appreciated :)
Ball diff is considered the premium feature, but the gear diff is way easier to assemble.
How much is it?
It’s currently about £465 in the UK right now
