Now mount the Cison V8 OHV on this thing.
I came here to type this. Nicely done!
I really was hoping when I clicked on this video it would have somthjng like that in it. Especially for almost 2 grand
my thought exactly
@@PolarBear4444 well the Cison V8 in itself is 2 grand.
@MrXhandsome wild, I want to have somthing like this with a working motor for fun but it's just sooo expensive it's hard to convince my self to spend money on it when for the same $ I could get somthing I can ride on/in
Compared to the early 90s when I was into model cars, this is a work of art.
And it cost only 2000$.
Well... early 90's for normal people. Because stuff like this was available as far back as the late 80's. 87 through 89. You should see some of the helicopter RC models made for high spec prices. Even today they'd be considered luxury models. What's aggravating is: this is made with CNC (for the most part) and 3D prototyping ... yet the prices are basically the same. If this was made by one dude in a shed... i'd be ok with it... but it's not.
@@aserta Where I live, those would have cost $1500 -2000 or 15000 to 20000 in my local currency back then, so you never saw them in the normal model catalogues. 98% of the rc cars was just a aluminum plate witch you would screw the parts on.
@@asertaWould the equivalent models from the 80s that you mentioned have been hand made or something?
This is overkill of overkill by the 90s standards. I mean you could build the chassis yourself and use some off the shelf parts, but most of it gearbox, differentials, MOTTOR were non existent unless you're a machinist with a lot of time to spare. It would cost several times more in the 90s to get anywhere near this level.
i went bankrupt just watching this video..
@ronniedoorzon1576 lmaoooo
Why bro😂😂
Yeah... $2000 is a bit much to spend on a toy, I mean it is high quality but still can't justify buying something that won't go up in value over the years.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the thing costed more than my actual car lmao
@@jasonsummit1885 Hobbies are not for profit, they are for mental health and relaxation. Its pricey at 1800 but it isn't all that expensive when you are messing with large scale. You can get into many thousands of dollars and that's dirt cheap compared to guys into the heavy equipment side of the hobby where 10k isn't even outlandish.
This would be a fantastic ASMR video for people who love the high pitched whirring electronic sounds of power drills...
thats why I'm here!
$1,899 for this!!! That’s insane, almost as much as what my cars worth wow
More, in my case.
lol
My mountaineer costed me 600€ back in the day. adjusted for inflation, its roughley the same but this has way more details
I'm actually surprised, but not because thats expensive, but cheap (or - reasonable) in my opinion. Plastic rc cars can be around 1k$ easy, so for a full metal one, thats quite good.
@@njakts my ol,d hpi baja with all the extraws, radio ,tires , plastic bodiew, shocks, springs exhaust cans ,etc, is already way over 2.2K and worth every penny of it. My car is around 6K and does the job . The bike was 12K , yeah , i'm not trying to find logic in our needs.we won't live forever ppl
As others have mentioned, I do prefer your home made builds, but thanks for doing this too, as its as close as I'll ever get to one lol
Genuinly speechless about the building quality of this model. Well done my friend.
18:29 fucking capo design
Was about to say that 😂
What did I miss? 🤔😅
@@just.jose.youtube On the spin that holds the reserve wheel.
I missed that. That is hilarious.
💯 thats what it says!
Just clocked the price, dream shattered.
How much
@@MontaeNolan$1899
@@MontaeNolan $1,899.99
@ronniedoorzon1576 I agree, It’s nice though
@ronniedoorzon1576two totally different rigs. Xmax is a pure basher/stunt truck. This is a scale premium rock bouncer. Both great, but aimed at different clients, imo.
very cool designer!!! It's been my lifelong dream to have something like this. but I understand that the dream will remain a dream. I’m 43 and even now it’s very precious to me... I’m happy for you johnny
Dear Santa, it's me again
That triggers a song by Kevin "bloody" Wilson. Hay Santa Claus you c@#$, where's me f#$%ing bike.
You'll regret not using loc-tite on ALL the screws.... speaking from experience.
He will also regret not lubricating all rubber bushings.
He could be shelf queening this?
@@eugbrat Doesn't matter... just the driving around at the end and half the screws will be loose! Anything screwing into metal/aluminum parts will unscrew itself. It's wild!
@@Grey-Troll Exactly! Its nightmare! I once put metal shock towers o my buggy and after one battery I lost couple of screws. That was end for that day :D. This must be insane just keeps all the screws tight.
Were you actually dumb enough to spend $2000 on this pos?
HOLYYY DETAILED, this kit has literally everything, down to the decals on the dash board with maps, and speed??? HELLO??? Insanely good
These Capo products are works of art for people who appreciate quality and realism. If you look at all the components, the price isn't really so crazy and for everyone saying they are not worth the cost of two X-Maxx trucks, it is like comparing apples with oranges. You do need to get a driver figure though. As for the ultimate RC vehicle, this is good but isn't even close. For something that will blow your mind, check out the new Eyewhale Hobby LTM1350 for a cool 20,000 USD.
Top tip, when tightening suspension components, tighten them when the vehicle is on all four wheels. That way all the bushes etc won't be preloaded when you tighten with wheels off.
not sure if this makes any sense.
in racing we never need to tighten anything with the vehicle upright with wheels mounted. the cars are fitted and refitted all the time with or without wheels.
also could you help me understand the pre-load you're referring to? the way i see it there should never be any pre-load regardless if built right, unless you're referring to alignment and symmetry.
@@alb9022 It's mainly about the suspension bushes. When the suspension is tightened when the vehicle is off the ground and the vehicle is then placed back on the ground it will stress and twist the suspension bushes, wearing them out quicker and leading to an uncomfortable ride. When the suspension bushes are left loose then tightened when the vehicle is placed back on the ground, the bushes will relax and not twist. I probably haven't explained it adequately.
@@MegaDirtybertythat applies to stock bushes, these use Heim joints or fully round joints, they can spin all day long, compared to the cast and preload dependent stock rubber bushes.
@@Nick_Parau Sorry I must have zoned out like the president did, I didn't see those joints. You are right, those heim joints can be tightened in pretty much any position.
I’m not at all into RC but this is incredible. I imagine that if you’re into RC this would be a high level kit? Worth every cent by the looks of it.
Looks like a well thought out kit.
Ain’t no way I’m putting all that together!!!!! Great video!!
Damn I’m in love . The details on these are amazing when I have enough money I’m gonna get myself one and build it too 😊
Capo makes some great stuff. I like that they design the product to be not just the resulting car, but the whole unboxing and assembly experience. I found out they make actual licensed car kits too, saw a R34 GT-R kit on their website. Just so damned expensive.
This thing is fascinating. I'm glad you showed this off.
Your videos are always awesome but this was a really nice change. You can really appreciate the heft of the thing and the speed!
I own 3 Capo Models. The JK Max, the T-Wolf and the Cub. And right now i'm saving money for the Queen. The quality of the kits is outstanding. But the screws are shitty.. I rounded out so many of them. And no, i'm not overthigtening them. 😆
Greets from Switzerland
Only the Swiss could afford these kits 😂
You lucky bastard! 😛 Capo rigs are great. I hope I can afford one, one day. Sad to know the hardware is weak, though...
I know i'm a lucky bastard 😁
So cool. That subframe is fantastic. With the geared hubs! Now you need to engine swap it.....
I love all your videos and am so happy that it seems like it's just you weather it be or not. Keep being great.
Awesome build!
Capo U4 CD 1582X Queen 1/8 Scale 2.4G All-Metal Off-Road Climibing Car Vehicles Kits
$1,899.99
That's $100.01 less than I paid for my first actual car.
Now add in a FPV camera
That was my 2nd idea, just after the supercharged V8. ;-)
@@alanhilder1883do both!
So he can see it being stolen, good idea.
@lastofthebest5102 you not see people do that to their car allll the time?
Just the sound of the Metal is so Satisfying 😎
Dood this thing is absolutely gorgeous brother
And I thought that my welding hobby (only decent equipment) was expensive 😅. This does not change the fact that every fan is happy to see such a full metal model. Especially me 😁
I’m linking this video next time I see someone complaining that a Lego technic set is too expensive and too complicated to build
18:40 anyone else saw the fan sparking?
i thought it was i led indicator or something
It was the esc
Oh man, this looks awesome to assemble! Love it.
That's a nice build and great kit car , I think it's crying out for a nitro motor 😊
Great kit and build as always! Had I not just bought a new Model 29 and a CZ Shadow 2 I would have bought this.
"Capo U4 CD 1582X Queen 1/8 Scale All-Metal Off-Road Climibing Car vehicle kit" Not a mouthfull, at all lol.
Awesome video, as always, dude.
Your builds are what I come for. Not overly expensive things anyone could buy.
Excellent soldering skill. I approve. Take note as this how it's done.
I hear from commentys the price is 1900US$, just 31 seconds in and I had my fantasy shattered. Looks stunning already.
It is an obviously fabulous, detailed, car kit but it lacks one thing - The nut behind the wheel!
It looks spooky without a driver.
This looks so nice! :)
Just a masterpiece of the RC cars!
Capo is top tier in every aspect
Perfect rc car out of the box.. Johnny: “it’s missing something it needs some modifications ”
W as literally about to go to sleep, but this came up haha
I need to watch it
Man this build is outrageous! I love all the metal parts. But I was a bit deflated by the performance. It seems slow for a $2000 build. But I get it, its all about the elegant design and pure metal of the build!
Now that is super special.
Rather watch you builds than prebuilt.
I thoroughly enjoy watching your channel. (My favorite is the Wankle Rotary). I used to love fabricating & testing, rebuilding & celebrating success. But got crippled and can't use my hands to build anymore. I live vicariously through you, I hope you don't mind. I wouldlike to see you try a thrust vectoring nozzles for a medium-large size Hobby Scale Jet Turbine.
That is a stunning model!!
I feel like if you put this in like a sand box real zoomed in with a cinematic camera, it’ll look real
Forget building it, the packaging should be displayed behind glass. Its a work of art.
Nice assembly video! Super high quality rig that will last a long time.
Very impressive kit and nicely filmed.
19:49 I think a wheel is broken, but everything is working well. Nice job Johnny master.
😅 I believe it's a pinecone.
It's just like a Polaris RZR or Can Am Maverick X3 with locking front diff and portals. Holy hell that's so cool.
Holy crap, rc vehicles are geting detailed. Now you can have a real v8 powering them too!!! Real lockers, real hydrolic breaks. Jebus
It's cool 👍 I enjoyed watching the video. I've already finished assembling one too. It's a very nice car.
You SO NEED TO HOOK A CAMERA to the top of this thing! AWESOME build Man! 😊
So much tuning potential!(suspension/rollbars)🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I made a 20LB steel caged Redcat gen 7 sport.
Kills driveshafts a lot lol.
Needed metal gears/brushless motor.
It's wicked
It's on my channel but i gotta do more work to it when i can afford to.
Chris fix told me to always put the control arm at operating height before tightening the bushing.
Awesome truck! 😎👍
Sou um brasileiro muito fã do seu trabalho amigo!!👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice vid❤
That motor looks somewhat small for such a big and probably heavy car… or maybe I’m just used to Kev Talbot putting stupidly large motors in his XMaxxes 😂
It is not meant to be as fast as an Xmaxx. It is a crawler hybrid that you take for a walk/hike.
dont tell me he didnt strip at least 3 screws
Well I was about to go to bed but I guess I’ll watch this first
What is the high pitch whine in the background of some shots, like 7:10 ?
Motor upgrade require also try to adjust the suspension to more soft if there is option to mod a suspension
That’s Just Great…!!!
something that works first time from the box on this channel ! 😮😮 ggs
cause electric xd xd
@@alb9022 hoo yes that's right LMFAO 🤣
Now i have to consider my hobby... 😂
Wow that thing sure can zoom! 23:39
That drill is a bit overwhelming for those screws. Check out some of the new light hydraulic impacts. Personally use the m12 surge for nearly everything now as it has very precise speed and trigger control. 10/10 would recommend for RC work.
I love the metal tires.
The metal suspension bushings and metal cv boots were also cool
いつも楽しい動画をありがとうございます。この動画はスタートラインであると理解しています。サイズ的に大きな「エンジン」は難しそうですね。また、鉄の溶接も必要になりそうですね。楽しみにしています。
TFL have been selling these for 10 years now in completed form but without electrics. Only difference is all the parts are anodized blue, last price a few years back was about $500
You are not talking about the Unicorn are you?
@@BlackSeaRC no, i cant remember what tfl call theirs, we sold a few off our website when they came out but realised we would have had to build a new warehouse to keep all the spare parts associated with cars. we are a boat website so stick with that
I'd love to build this, when I win the lottery ! lol
Beautiful machine.
Nice portal axles with the suspension arms on the bottom of them anyway 😂. Cool build though no doubt.
this is way better than the Traxxas UDR, too much realistic RC trophy truck! 😮
What a nice toys you can buy with money...
BTW I'd make it that locked diffs is default position and with servo you unlock them.
Of all the names though... "Queen" 👀
For all those RC guys who slay 💅🏻
how beautiful !
That suspension works suprisingly well. Nice build, now put a V8 engine in it :D
I enjoyed watching the whole build but all I could think of whilst watching it is that for the same price as this RC car you probably could get yourself a proper off road vehicle for the same price or less
Gosh dang, thats nice
At 18:29 the copper coloured nut holding on the spare says "Fucking" capo design !....cheers.
First crash
I think the springs / dampers are too stiff. Still makes it look like an RC when driving. Softer should make it a lot less jumpy.
it's not the springs
look closely at 2:34 then observe the results at 5:34
Better than LEGO😂😂😂
The amount of screws he stripped is insane
In Brasil loved you canal Man
Super cool kit
I saw the thumbnail and I thought to myself "Uh, oh... looks like he made himself a tiny tig welder now..."
JohnnyQ what happened to your electric screwdriver and what brand is it?
Did you apply any thread lock to any of those 8000 screws?
a rotary mod would be cool
My knee-jerk reaction was to say “that’s some high quality Chineseium” but at the end of the video, I’m confident in saying I’d rather drive that than a Chrysler 😂😂😂
Jaw dropped when i saw the portal axels.
